Game Thread W9 - Chicago V Philly (1 Viewer)

I like how Jaws blames Maclin when Vick throws the ball way over his head on an easy 4 yard pass.EDIT: Wow, apparently so did everyone else. He clearly lost his balance going up high for that bullet that he was lucky to even catch with his fingertips.
:goodposting: I don't know what a few of you saw on that pass. That wasn't on Maclin at all.
Agreed, Vick knows he threw it too hard and high.

Love it when people jump to conclusions...D.Jax drops pass... no way hes getting paid from the Eagles

Earlier I saw McCoy catch a tipped ball over his head and behind him in traffic, gain his composure and go for an 11 yard gain. I saw Maclin jump for a ball over his head and fall down. It certainly wasn't a good pass, but it was 4th down and time to make a play. Actually you could blame the turf...it looks horrible.

-8 line on betting? Nice job on that insult there. No respect for 5-3 bears. Not to mention they played all solid teams except for Min/Car.

The two BS calls against the eagles led to 14 points.
Okay, but if they don't call that late hit on Hester, the Bears still have 1st down inside the Eagles 20, so they might have still scored a touchdown anyway. That was an iffy call. The late hit on Cutler was a terrible call that gave them an extra four points. But let's not act like the bad calls gave them 14 instead of 0.

Best team won tonight. The Bears were after Vick all night. If not for the rare turnovers by Forte, Bears win this game by double digits on the road.

Anyone else just feel all of these NFC games are for nothing as Green Bay is just at another level compared to these teams?

As a Bears fan, yes, GB is on a totally other level and right now, the rest of the NFC is playing for a chance to lose in the title game.

Philly already got there call on the McCoy td, his knee was down and ball hadn't crossed.
He wasnt down. The replays showed it. Give it up. The two BS calls against the eagles led to 14 points.
Jeebus...and I thought Lions fans were winey #######. In case you forgot, Hester actually caught the ball on the late hit call (which was cheesy) - so that one is fairly irrelevant. I presume your complaining about the roughing call on Cutler because you presume, after watching the slow-mo replay from one angle that he was "pushed" into Cutler. Try rewatching the play either from the other angle or at regular speed - it's clear that the o-lineman does NOT alter the d-lineman's speed or direction. He does put his hands on him, but the DE made no attempt to avoid nailing the QB, despite watching him throw the ball almost directly over his head several steps earlier.ETA: Unless you are talking about the PI on Nnamdi - the one where he actually turns Knox's head by the facemask with his hand before the ball atrives.

Nope not at all. Any given week any team can lose. I would put my money on the field getting to the Superbowl over Green Bay. The number 1 seed is never a lock to go all the way. They can and will get beat and I would say it is a 50/50 deal in the playoffs. Hot team in Dec/Jan go to the Superbowl now days.

This is what happens when you go all Daniel Snyder in the offseason. Even today, the best way to improve your team is by growing your own talent. The Bears were beaten up for not doing enough to improve their OL....which is a lie in itself given they spent 2 first rounders (Carimi and Chris Williams) in the last 3 years and also added a 1st round pick in FA (Chris Spencer). Turns out drafting Webb and Lance Louis late and developing them is working. They have gotten much better and now the continuity will reap rewards when it really matters....for the playoff push and the playoffs itself.
