Game Thread - Wildcard - Carolina V NY Giants (1 Viewer)

Looks like we agree about that spot.Would only have been the first NY challenge and could have set up a punt.Wasted chance there.

Smart play by Foster. He knew he wasn't going to get the first down, so he stayed in bounds and forced NY to use their last timeout.

I think these are the Texans in diguise. If you look closely through Manning's facemask, you can just make out David Carr.

I like that play-call on 3rd and 10. Why take a chance on throwing a pick and getting nothing? Run a draw, it takes the clock down so the Giants have little time to do anything and then you attempt a very makeable FG to take a 10-0 lead.

They should have ran the ball on 1st down and not taken the chance of throwing a pick on 1st and 2nd down. They had been running the ball well at they could have made sure little time was left in the 1st half.

Possibly, but the 2nd down pass could have easily resulted in a 3rd and short. Once it went to 3rd and 10, running a draw was academic.

i wonder what kind of gum john fox chews. he has a whole wad in his mouth, and it seems it would get really hard after a short time. maybe he puts in fresh pieces every quarter.

I agree on the 3rd down call. It was the first two calls that I didn't like.

Big League Chew Original Flavor

You have to run the ball all three times in that situation. Worst case scenerio you dont get the first down, but you kill the rest of the clock so the giants cant do anything at all. Stoopid play calling.

Giants need points on first possession. Get those 1st points out of the way, and they are looking good. 3 and out, and they are in big trouble

How did the Giants make the playoffs?  They look terrible.
extra home game :boxing:
:lmao:
half the starters on D are out and 1/4 of the 2nd stringers are out. Did you see the Bears game against Minny when they played their 3rd stringers?
A little early to be making excuses, dontcha think?
Not making excuses. I have money on Carolina, this was part of the reason why I took Carolina. No need to question why the made the playoffs.

Yet another blown call by the refs on a fumble. Just terrible.
When is this gonna stop? The college game is terrible but we've had some blown calls in the NFL already in the playoffs and it's scary.

Question: What is the punt returner counting before the ball is snapped for the punt? Is he making sure his team only has 11 guys on the field or checking the other team?

Steve Smith was counting how many men he was going to run over.

Geez Aikman.. Could you mention the Injury's at LB for the Giants one more time. I don't think you got your point across the first 50 Times.

fumble, Carolina gets another break
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Did you not see the same thing just happened on NY's last possession? At least now it is even.

However, that is yet ANOTHER blown call by the refs. This is getting embarrassing.

Another blown call.
 Sure on Super Slow Motion it's easy to tell that was a fumble.

Dang Refs need to adjust their Superman Googles so they can slow down the play as it happens.

Goings better have been knocked unconsious briefly, because there is no other excuse for him to not reach over and pull the ball in. Either way, hopefully he is all right.
