For those who have finished the above:
I cured Kodlak's spirit and also cured Farkas' spirit and now the only thing I get for mission is "speak to the Companions for work"...I still have 4 witch heads and there seems like there should be more. I wanted to get rid of this Werewolf thing myself and start the Dark Brotherhood or something but before I do that I want to wrap up the Companions stuff...is that all there is to it?Thats it!So did I miss the boat with removing the Werewolf from me? Why do I still have 4 witch heads?
theres an orc in here that would take offense to this assumption'Matthias said:and even more with sleeping with a wifey.

Thats a pretty good idea, I may start to implement that.I sleep whenever my character would sleep if he were a real person. Can staffs not be disenchanted? If you play on anything but a LCD on torch mode it is going to be hard to see at night. I'm moving to a plasma soon and I'm afraid it will be too dark.I do the same - also easier to see thigns during day - I get lost at nightI sleep whenever my character would sleep if he were a real person. i find lag will occur if the game is on for 4+ hrs at 13mb save file, but if you reset the ps3 it goes away. Some lag... no freezes here.I stopped reading at page 85 when my PS3 broke. I know Matts said his has held up very nicely. Anyone having issues with the game on PS3 anymore, Canuck? Hoping the 320 slim holds up better while playing this then my 60 fat which lasted 4 years

I'm capable but still very interested. There just seems like so much to do and so much I want to do...maybe that all stops but roughly a month in I'm loving it.Maybe I'm alone, but I find myself perfectly capable of shutting the game down. I usually just try to do a fight quest and a delivery quest each night. That's usually enough. Then if I'm on calls for work at home I just chop wood. I don't really have a feel where the end of the main quest is, but I figure that will probably be the end of the line for me.
yep there are many ps3 owners complaining that the game slows to inoperable after a 12mb size save file. its happened a few times for me during long sessions, then i reset, and its fineI have noticed that my save file gets larger and larger everytime I save...is that normal?i find lag will occur if the game is on for 4+ hrs at 13mb save file, but if you reset the ps3 it goes away. Some lag... no freezes here.I stopped reading at page 85 when my PS3 broke. I'm using a 50" plasma that is 4 years old, so nothing special. Havent noticed any problems even while roaming the woods at night. I have a year old 50" plasma, and the game looks great on it. I love playing when it's night time in game. One of my favorite things is watching the guards walk around with the torches. theres night vision? It's hard to see at night for me too....but the night vision helps alot when I'm roaming or diving. I'm guessing most races don't start with that then? I'm the kitty guy.
Lag comes and goes. Lockups can be random. I've had them happen after hours of playing. I've had them happen the first 15 minutes after turning the machine on. Saturday, I had a lockup entering a shop. Had to shut the system down, then restart. Upon restarting, tried to walk out the door of my home and immediately locked up again. After yet another restart, it worked fine the rest of the day. Lag doesn't occur THAT often and can often be fixed with a reset even with my 14 meg file size. Lockups are much more random and much more annoying.yep there are many ps3 owners complaining that the game slows to inoperable after a 12mb size save file. its happened a few times for me during long sessions, then i reset, and its fine
Would have saved me days of doing Word of Power quests if they could be. Not actually sure why they can't. It could because they are to numerous that the developers thought that would be to easy. Or maybe the figure with a staff, it isn't an enchantment, it's actually the essence of the weapon. Therefore, allowing you to disenchant it would be like allowing you to disenchant a sword to get "sharpness."Nope, they can't.Finally found a Staff of Banish, snatched it up, took it back to my enchanter, and i cant disenchantCan staffs not be disenchanted?

Do your mannequins float? Found one floating in the air one time with his head in the ceiling. The other one was standing right next to my enchanting table, seemingly waiting for my return with open arms. Freaked me out. Couldn't craft for a couple of days.'TxBuckeye said:Oh, meant to add, I am also a member of the MMC (Moving Mannequin Club). Bought the house in Riften and I swear, every time I turn my back to use the alchemy table, those bastards move. I don't mean a little bit. They are all over the damn place! Not only that but, once I made my new armor, I decked out one of the mannequins in my extra set of full Dragon Scale armor. Apparently, it was INVISIBLE Dragon Scale armor because, now when I go down there, all I can see is a face floating at eye level. No body, no armor, nothing. Just.... that.... face....
Honestly? They do whatever the heck they feel like. Float, morph in to the floor, move, disappear, whatever they feel like doing. And it does seem that using the enchanting table triggers it more than anything. I have turned around after an enchanting session to have them both standing right there behind me. Would be a cool DLC, having the mannequins come to life and attacking you. I do admit, it is very disappointing to me that I can't see the armor on the one. I was sort of geekily excited to have those in the Riften house. I planned to deck one out in Dragon Armor (which I did) and one in my old Glass set. To have it be invisibile, to not be able to see it hanging there, it's sort of a bummer. I haven't even bothered moving the glass set from Whiterun because, well, why bother? Odds are it would just be invisible too so what's the point?Do your mannequins float? Found one floating in the air one time with his head in the ceiling. So i've been doing quests for the Jarl of Riften, what do you have to do in order to be able to buy a house there?TIA
I can't get to the link here at work. Any chance you could post what is actually being updated, if the list isn't to large? If it is, don't bother and I will check it at home if I think about it.'Matthias said:This is on the list of things that are fixed in Update 1.4, releasing in the next week-ish.
Fixed occasional issue with armor and clothing not displaying properly when placed on mannequin's in player's house. (PS3)
So i've been doing quests for the Jarl of Riften, what do you have to do in order to be able to buy a house there?TIAYou have to find the Khajit woman down by (or in) the fishery and go through the skooma questline. You can do other things until you are blue in the face. You won't get the house until you do the skooma quest. Found this out the hard way.

I think I may have worded it wrong. I noticed in a video that someone got their second word for this shout where I got my first and I thought I got them out of order. No biggie. Thanks for the help!'Matthias said:Huh? That sounds like a bug.In general, whichever Frost Breath shout you find first, will give you the first one. There's just three places to learn a certain shout. The order is determined by what order you find them. I have 2 shouts where it's buggy and I can't learn parts of them because I learned them in the wrong order, but generally speaking, that shouldn't happen.Does getting the shouts out if "order" make a difference? Right now I have the 2nd frost breathe and wasn't sure if I still needed the first one or not.
I think I was running into this issue, but never really realized it. Then I thought it might be because of my decisions during the treaty negotiations. At least now I can stop searching for that last task.by the way finally started my dual wielding dark elf mage, bout to see what this magic is all about.Fixed issue where player would be unable to become Thane of Riften if they purchased a home first
I just moved up to the hardest difficulty level tonight. Hopefully it makes a difference. Also, I think I am kind of running in to the "Oblivion Factor." That is to say, starting to feel my character may be a bit to strong. I went and did a word of power quest and came face to face with Volsung. First arrow left him with maybe a half inch of life left. Second arrow took him down. He never even got an attack off. Definitely a far cry from the battle I had with Krosis early in the game. No "wow" or "Holy crap!" factor at all.

And what does it impact?Go to settings (save menu as save and load), and you can adjust. The baseline is 1 for 1...the easiest is you get 0.5 damage and they get 2x (so you are doing 4x the damage as them at the same level), and the hardest is the opposite (2x damage to you, 0.5x damage to them). How do you change difficulty?I just moved up to the hardest difficulty level tonight.
