While we here:

Dice roll: 147 - 539 - 130 - 764 - 664

Categories:

The Jose, Jimmy, And Johnny Show (songs about alcohol) (fifth roll - last chance!)

Songs About New York City (fourth roll)

Tennessee And Its Cities (music about Tennessee or its cities, namely Chattanooga, Nashville, and Memphis)

Emo Imo (emo songs from emo bands or other emotional songs) (fifth roll)

Jerry and Carlos (songs with Jerry Garcia or Carlos Santana (third roll)

565.AM John Hiatt - Memphis in the Meantime (Memphis et al.)

Few songs explore the differences between Memphis and Nashville like this one.  Hiatt lines up proudly on the West side while Cooder, Lowe and Keltner cook like the M.G.'s in support.

565.PM The Lounge Lizards - I Remember Coney Island (NY, NY)

John & Evan Lurie's Fake Jazz combo from the 80s downtown scene.  They were simpler times.

Bocephus has a new album out produced by Dan Auerbach.  It's called Rich White Honky Blues.
After I read your post, I read an article with Hank Jr. He said he named the album after a joke Red Foxx told. He met Foxx when he was a teenager. Foxx was a fan of Hank Sr.'s music. The album is a blues album, and a nod to the late blues artist Rufus "Tee Tot" Payne who taught Hank Sr. how to play the guitar and was also his mentor.

One more for the weekend

566.  Caracara - Better  (Emo Imo)

This song teeters on the edge of Emo for its first half before jumping headlong into the pit just before the three minute mark.  Imo of course.

Hey guys,

Sorry to flake out the other night on the Friday night fun time. For whatever reason, the past few days have seen me exhausted, dragging, and generally lethargic in every physical respect. No fun. Not COVID (I hope and think -- I have none of the symptoms) but just not feeling well. Anyway, thanks to the participants keeping this alive, to lively interludes from k4, and just everyone in general. I hope I kick this malaise in a day or two. Not sure totally what's causing it, but I just bid $26 of my last one hundred and sixty-six dollars in my fantasy league on a potential box safety, so things aren't all okay. I'm sort of foggy here.   ;)

Peace...and I wish a Happy Father's Day again to the fathers and happy days for those that took the time to tell a father they care.

I was thinking of you earlier today and hoped you hadn't wandered into the PSF with the standard repercussions.  Glad you're here, though I'm sorry about the malaise.

Thanks, k4! Nope, no political stuff to speak of. Just flat heavy-legged and tired. I pretty much was in bed if not on the boards or attempting to celebrate Father's Day today with family, which I'll admit I slept partway through. Which is okay because so did my eighteen year-old nephew who stays up too late for this stuff.

Anyway, I'm feeling better right now, so let's hope that the tiredness and trouble staying awake without feeling rubbery is in the past.

Accounting biz:

Somehow Non-Stop Party Mixtape showed it had been rolled six times per the old sheet. I searched the selection sheet. I think it was replacing a retired category and hadn't been accounted for yet. So I had retired it in keeping with the old sheet, but that's not right. It'll replace the next category to get retired with our Non-Stop Party Mixtape and we can proceed from the top next time. Remember, it's supposed to be a flow mixtape. I went for Latino dance with two selections, and ilov80s picked Jamiexx for the next song. It sounds good so far! Keep it up!

Noreaga! I haven't heard that in a minute.

Wasn't sure how to react there. There was happy, sad and a joke. So I went with the box stuffing safety joke.

Good choice. An unwise bid on my part. I was just increasing it so he'd increase it, but he's standing pat in the auction. Whoops. I'd like to welcome my brand new, roster-clogging rookie to the team. You're not likely to get cut at twenty-six bucks cost, that's for sure.

Ok, I am up and bored. Probably won't be around tomorrow as I have a lot of projects for my first day of summer vacation. I am going to run the table tonight.

Friday night fun time seemed to turn into a Friday night flop. Maybe I just didn't understand exactly what we were supposed to do, but I can't change that.

I hope you start feeling better. Had you been getting enough sleep leading up to this lethargic state?

No, you can't.

I didn't know what to do either. I was just going as if it was a chain. I figured having Rick Rubin as the producer could lead to good stuff, but Dr. Octopus went a good route with Queens, NY, too. I think everybody just bailed. I was exhausted and laid down for a bit. It wasn't you, it was just the tiredness and I'm sure that went for most everybody (that it wasn't you, but some other circumstance).

Thanks for the well wishes. I think I'd been up quite a bit, but it shouldn't breed days of tiredness. Perhaps I need to dial something back down a bit.

Nick Cross of Indianapolis.

Run-runaway.
