I'm consoling myself by assuming that we wouldn't have stopped them anyway because we didn't stop them the entire second half.

There has been discussion on this board that, because the league is now so heavily tied to the gambling industry, the day will come when some, maybe all, penalties will be reviewable. I wonder if this incident pushes things further in that direction.

That's not a huge ask in today's NFL from the top offenses, of which the Eagles are one.

• It was a call that is probably made ~50% of the time, so not crazy it was called. Please provide stats and video to prove your assertion. I'm not buying it, but open to proof otherwise. Without that, you're talking out of your *** as much as I am!
• There was a worse call earlier in the game when the refs did not call defensive holding or DPI on a similar play when MVS was held blatantly, leading to a Chiefs 3 and out... it balances out. Irrelevant. There were "bad" calls all along, though I feel that officiating overall was good. Calling out one in an entirely different situation as a balance is not relevant.

I've never sat and tried to get through an Arctic Monkeys record from start to finish (don't flagellate me, NV). I have no idea why. Anyway, that's almost neither here nor there, but I'm impressed that they made it that high on your list of songs. It's obviously very subjective, and if we polled all 45 participants in this thread we'd probably get 20+ different answers, but for my money it's Spoon.

If some of Foo Fighters better songs were late 90’s I would have them #1 pretty easy.

Foos and Spoon (and The White Stripes) all released music in the 20th century making them ineligible under my arbitrary rules

OK. Adhering to those rules, I also prefer LCD Soundsystem, McLusky/Future of the Left, Vampire Weekend, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and TV on the Radio.

But I’ll still take Spoon’s output since 2000 over all of them.

greatest halftime show there ever was or ever will be

Prince has entered the chat.

Heck, last year's halftime show was much, much better than this one. And, of course, Prince's. And Petty. And I'm sure many others.

But, admittedly, I totally do not get the love for Rihanna. I watched the halftime show with my wife and didn't think any of her music was particularly good or interesting.

I dislike U2, but their halftime show after 9/11 was a standout. Very much grace.

It's rare enough when a top-flight quarterback comes along. When two come along in one draft, and you could have taken either of them, but instead you trade up to take one who flopped? You and your fans will be kicking yourselves for decades.

Will be interesting to see if something similar happens in this year's draft.

I'm trying to tell somebody that the sentence fragment "your ill-considered, indefensible opinion" contains the correct use of "your/you're" and that it shouldn't be "you're ill-considered, indefensible opinion." I'm being met with resistance on that front.

I give up.

Before anyone thinks I'm being a grammar Nazi, dude was correcting the guy that used "your" by putting a snarky "*you're" in response.
