Giants at Redskins (1 Viewer)

The look of JPP coming off the field after having chased RGIII around for 4 quarters told me all I needed to know about how "easy" the read option offense is to play against especially when the triggerman runs a 4.3 and they also have one the the top power backs in the game to boot. These guys are a dlines worst nightmare to play against.
Jon Gruden? Is that you?All you talked about last night was how confused the Giants looked on Defense ... but in the end they held Washington to 10 legitimate points.

Bitter much?

The Redskins were running circles around the Giants in the second half. They finished with 214 yards of offense in the second half, missed out on one scoring opportunity when they lost a first down fumble at the NY 9, and could have scored again at the end if they weren't just running out the clock.Giants had 5 first downs and 117 yards in the second half. Football is a 60-minute game, and by the end of this game, the Redskins were in total control. All the complaining about the penalties surprises me - 3 of them were on kicks, 3 were dead balls. There were just 2 holds called on offensive linemen in the game.

The Giants 3rd down conversion rate last night looks good on paper, but considering that they kept having to settle for field goals, it suddenly doesn't look as good.

Oh, and in reference again to RG3 and the Redskins not throwing down field enough, it is worth noting that RG3 has the 2nd highest YPA in the league.

Giants (the 2nd least penalized team in the NFL) had 9 penalties against them ... at least a couple of them of the BS variety. But the penalty calls were not nearly as bad as the non calls on WAS.From the beginning of the game they were holding constantly and you could clearly see it in the replays ... not to mention the obvious PI on Bennett that even the WAS partial commentators couldn't believe. And who could forget the skins biggest offensive play ... the fumble. Man that RGIII even knows how to fumble right.

This was a well deserved win for the Redskins. They won because they outplayed the Giants.
Giants 9 penalties for 73 yards. Several drive killers. Bad snap from the LS on the missed FG. 2nd half the Skins did what it took but the Gmen shouldve won this game. I know.. they didnt and if you give up 200+ on the ground along with the drive killers. Giants didnt deserve to win.Giants had more plays, more yards and shouldve won.
OK, the Giants can have this W and the Redskins get the W for the week 7 game.
The Giants destroyed the Skins, the Refs destroyed the Giants... and Gruden destroyed my ears what a duchebag. It was quite clear by the commentators, the Refs and the NFL ### kissin of RGIII, London Fletcher, and the Shannahans that there was no way the Giants were allowed to win this game.Had you only listened to the game and not watched you would have thought the Giants were being shut out 50-0
Good points. It is very clear that he NFL, which just voted with Mara to take $36 million in cap space from the Redskins, just helped conspire to help the Redskins run the rock for over 200 yards down the throat of the soft Giants defense.
It's real easy to run the ball when you are allowed to hold ... just ask the Giants every time they "held" they ran all over Washington ... only to have it called back. It's much much much better for the NFL if RGIII in the playoff picture ... he is probably the most marketable guy in the NFL right now.
It's anti- New York conspiracy!!!!!!!!

Horrible SNF/MNF for me. 27 point lead, winner gets the bye, Cowboys elect to not offend Brown by touching him and he gets 27 in the first half alone, finished with 32. Hate the Cowboys - knew that blown pick right in his mitts would come back to haunt me. Still have Nicks, need 50 yards or a score. Eli misses him on the bomb to open the game, have 43 yards, need 7, have it but 2nd toe hits the chalk, then RG3/Morris run out the clock. Lost 139-138. I own both Eli and Nicks and have to decide what to do with them going forward, even in a supposedly good matchup vs. the Saints. The predicted Saints/Falcons onslaught didn't happen - could have been Thursday night but don't know.

Dissapointed that the GMen got owned so bad in the second half, could never get the ball back.

Logan Paulsen had the exact same offensive interference penalty called on him. Also I'm sure if I looked hard enough I could find numerous instances of holding not called on the Giants as well since 80 percent of holding infractions go uncalled. Nice try though.

Giants lost because they couldn't find the endzone. 4 field goal attempts (1 miss) is inexcusable against the Redskins defense. They get into ridiculously conservative play calling mode once they hit the redzone with draw plays up the middle. They do this all the time and that's why the Giants either lose or barely win against poor teams. Not that the Redskins are bad, but they aren't a playoff caliber team.
