Giants vs Eagles - TNF - Week 7 (1 Viewer)

Man Philly won the game but that was about as awful a win as you'll get.  I really have no clue who the best team in this division is.

I was ready to type tonight after the game if we lost on the bright side we came out with no one hurt until That cheap shot ruined it

Wonder howany fights there were tonight.

There were two last week. One was between eagles fans
used to be a weekly 4th Q occurrence at the Silverdome - might be some wild haymakers on YT

always in the lower corner sections for some reason

RIght now, there is only a 'least bad' team.

If Philly or Dallas get healthy near the end of the year they could be decent.

Yup the Giants and Football Team are out (bottom 3 teams).  Philly and Dallas have potential if healthy (but Dallas lost their QB so it probably will be Philly)

There was one last week between and Eagles and Ravens fan with a Yankees hat on. Not sure what caused it but someone mentioned on the tweet it was their section and the Ravens dude was being dumb. However the best part was Barstool tweeted it with a pot shot and everyone went after Portney instead of tweeting about the fight. It backfired from what the tweet was suppose to do

You absolutely should take it.  All that matters is making the playoffs.  If the Eagles are healthy by end of year, they could definitely make noise.
Hard thing is, we lost a lot of guys for the whole season.

LT, LG, RG are all done for the season.  Those guys were HUGE for us.  Reagor/Goedert/Ertz(maybe) will help though.

I already said tonight in this thread. The Eagles could make noise in the playoffs if healthy. They unlike Dal and NYG have guys WHO WILL COME BACK EVENTUALLY THIS SEASON. Dal ain't getting their important piece in Prescott and the Giants aren't getting Barkley back.

I'm not too concerned on LT. I didn't hear about Malitati all night and besides the one play he got smoked last week he seemed to play well. The other guys I'm worried.

The division is crap, none of these teams are going anywhere.  Each team needs a new qb except DAL, and DAL may need a new one depending on how dak recovers.

There's no joy here, just sorrow.

So true, back in the 90's through work I had season tickets and would go with my buddies every week, was a lot of fun and great memories back then. It was quite the sh** show,  kind of relieved with the timing when my son was old enough to go to the games- changed jobs and built up a home theater room to avoid going to that scene each Sunday

Wentz had a pretty decent game.  And has had a few really good games this year.  He has ZERO weapons left.

He makes some really frustrating mistakes that often kill drives.  But he will be the QB next year.

I guess going for 2 got them the win after all.

Man, it's so painful to watch bad teams blow football games.  This one was over as soon as it bounced off Engram's hands.

Then why draft hunt?  Or hurts?  I forget which and am tired.

no doubt - got to where it was the last place you’d want to take your family. sadly I’ve never been to Ford Field or Comerica as they were built after I left, but I’ve heard it’s far less common now. It was never a thing at any other venue in MI, either.

I do think Wentz is worth building around but what is the hold up? Where are the receivers and TEs and stud Backs and great OL around him to help him succeed and operate at his best? Can you imagine Wentz on a better team with more talent around him like say the Vikings? Or is he a carbon copy of Kirk Cosuins?

Just some food for thought but I felt he gave a gritty performance and hung in there to lead them down 2 scores despite his head football coach costing them a minimum of 7 points by my pizza math in the 2nd half alone.

It's pretty early in the morning to be drunk, my friend.

All Sanders/Ertz/Goedert/the entire offensive line are all injured.

I'll give you that Thielen/Jefferson is an envious combo but you must not have seen the Vikings offensive line play this year.

Kirk Cousins, yes. They are drafting other QBs instead of talent to put around Wentz.

hah, that is pretty funny to hear. Very similar to the Philadelphia situation. Sure there are still a few fights here and there, but it is nothing compared to when they played at Veteran's stadium (fun actually typing that name remembering stadium names used to be non-commercial and not simply another way for owner's to make money). I wonder if changing the physical building curbs some of the aggressive behavior

i think for the Eagles, the new stadium came with more club seats and higher prices that basically removed some of the elements that brought the fights all the time. an interesting thought for some of the teams in professional sports who have seen some awful incidents like the California baseball teams

ETA: not to dump on those California teams, could be just the way the media portrayed and brought those to life. I know at the Vet there were always some doozies, just depended on what the media wanted to run with and what else was in the news

Drafted a 1st round WR (and several late round WR) this year, you have Ertz and a highly regarded Goedert, and a good RB Sanders - lots of attention to skill positions in the first two rounds.  Drafted a LT in the first last year. They're just - ALL hurt right now.  Yea, we can quibble about a 2nd rounder on Jalen Hurts, but they have spent a lot of draft capital on trying to build around Wentz.
