I lived in Houston for TS Allison. What a nightmare...

I lived in Galveston at the time so escaped it, thankfully.

This is nowhere near as bad. The city made a bunch of drainage improvements after Allison which seem to have (for the most part) made a huge improvement. That said, Allison was a several-day deluge and this was basically 10 hours of heavy, heavy rain.
