Dylan decided to put a pebble in his ear Friday. The doctor couldn't get it out so surgery is set for Friday. I was told it was not big deal put it's really jammed in there and would be painful to remove without anesthetic. I want to be angry but making really bad decisions are no doubt in his genes.
Damn. What type of surgery? Do you mean just putting him out so he'll be still while they pick it out of there? I can't imagine any incisions would have to be made.
This morning while waiting for the school bus one of the other parents was asking if he was okay and I said something like "it's not surprise that a kid of mine literally has rocks in his head". Dyl took offense to this and told me it wasn't a pebble but an air soft bullet. He ####ed up but the truth would come out tomorrow anyhow. Then he tried to make up a lie that he was jumping on a trampoline and it somehow lodged in his head. Really pretty advanced attempt at lying for an 8 yo IMO. I saw they neighbor boys, that he often hangs around, shooting each other with air soft guns a couple of weekends ago but they were all wearing face masks. Stupid kids.
My stupid brother jammed one of those way up his nose one time. ####### kids are dumb.

Sounds like a blast. Would love to attend but my nephew is getting married Saturday. What sucks and is strange is that it's a church wedding. See, his wife is a Chinese commie so I know she isn't Catholic. From my conversations with my nephew, he's an atheist. Oh and as far as the US of A is concerned, they've been married already for 9 months. No kids involved. This will be my 3 time attending church in 8 days. F.M.L.

Had to climb a 32' extension ladder yesterday at work. In the middle of a highway median. With no safety harness clipped on. While it wobbled all over the place. Thought I was going to die.
Don't do it again without proper safety precautions.

Seriously, your job is not worth dying for.

Yeah, thankfully my boss already told me that I should have told the contractor that I wasn't doing it until he created a safe environment. Stupidity and not wanting to look like the new guy refusing to do stuff lead me to be dumb and do it. At least now I know going forward to just refuse and make them reschedule in a situation like that.

What's funny is that the safety involved was me climbing all the way up, tying a piece of rope to the top rung, and then clipping the safety harness into the rope.

called my wife on her cell this morning, wanted to talk to my youngest daughter who turns 6 today.

daughter answers the phone "Hi Daddy"

me: HI baby girl, happy birthday! how are you doing? What are you doing?

her: I'm watching a movie!

me: what are you watching?

her: I'm watching scooby doo

(silence)

her: (singing) scooby dooby doo, where are you

You get promoted to graffiti removal?
Discarded prophylactic picker upper.Actually, testing for lead paint.
That would be impressive if you needed a 32' ladder for it.
Yeah, last guy drowned. Horrible way to go.

Apparently 2 female coworkers got into a fender bender yesterday in the parking lot

Now one wants the other to pay for it so she doesn't have to file insurance claim

I'm sure it will be resolved to everyone's satisfaction with no drama whatsoever

Elderly neighbor died today from Tuesday's hi-rise fire. I didn't know Vivian personally but we saw her all the time. She always had a smile & word of encouragement for my daughter (also Asian & a petite dancer.)

:kicksrock:

Feel awful for Dylan Baker's daughter - Vivian was badly burned & that image won't go away sny time soon.

That kid is going places...not college but "places".

I'd guess 60-65. Not sure, I can never guess the ages of Asian women. She used a walker due to rheumatoid arthritis but maybe her dance career contributed to that? She didn't look like someone who needed a walker, just looked like a fit older dancer.

She was in every production of The King and I for about 15 years.

Off to SF for a wedding.

I shouldn't complain, because it is a privilege to get to travel the way I have been lately, but I would rather be staying home this weekend.

I had a self-implanted popcorn kernel in my ear for most of the 80's.

:lmao:

The gal's dad is the governor of some province in China. Apparently stinking rich and powerful considering he has 4 kids including 3 daughters.

Happy birthday K4!

Me too!

But it was a coke straw and it was in my nose.

I have a female student with the first name "Hadley" .

Take a guess at what runs through my head every time I see, hear, or have to speak her name.

(cool kids will know)
