people in the office are going ape-#### for the first Chick fil-a to open in NYC (around the corner).

pretty sure it's pronounced "chick feel-uh".

Best movie that is constantly on cable: Whiplash. I must have watched this 5 times in the last two months.

And Chavez Ravine is a gem. Only bummed that Scully isn't announcing this postseason. Would have been a great last hurrah for a legend. If you don't like Vin Scully, you don't like baseball.
Scully is back for 2016, fyi.

yeah, but this postseason would have been great for him, especially if they win tonight and play the Cubs in the NLCS.

I still don't understand the appeal. One opened near me and they had to redirect traffic to accommodate it. Their food is nothing special. Wendy's chicken sandwiches are better.

Chi fil-a is very popular with backwardsass homophobes.

Speaking of lame beer (the beverage not the basketball player)...#2 kid starts training for his new job on Monday. Let's hope he can keep it. Warehouse work from like 3PM until 1 or 2AM. This is the kid that acts like taking out the trash is fieldhand work. Should be making some decent scrilla for sure.
O/U 1 month.

 it is possible. But I hope that when he sees his first quadruple digit paycheck he'll figure it all out.

I used to always want to go to the old Tigers stadium... loved the look of it, even if I'm sure those columns were a little... in the way.
Funny you should say that - my dad and I made a dedicated trip there to see if before they tore it down, late in its final season. It poured and poured for an hour and we thought we were going to have to just say "well, we were within the gates, we saw it, even if no one actually played baseball," but it suddenly cleared up and they got the game in. Anyhoo, our seats were right behind one of those columns. Cracked us up. I'm still sad they tore that one down instead of trying to renovate it, but Comerica is very, very nice.
Here are two seats from Tiger Stadium, mounted to my cabin deck.
That deck sucks.

White people are head-spinningly stupid.
When Red Lobster opened up here about 10 years ago (actually reopened since there was one here about 15 years before that but it closed) people started lining up at about 5am. I wish I was kidding.

Of course, but you said "last hurrah" so I shared.

I went on a date recently with a girl I met on eHarmony. I mentioned to her that my dad's been beating me with jumper cables on a regular basis for over 28 years (I always have to cross that bridge eventually), and she then told me that her uncle molested her when she was 14. I was like, woah, ease up lady, it's only our first date.

Tell us how you really feel Tanner

Sad the Dodgers lost, but it's pretty cool that none of these LCS teams is a recent playoff mainstay. The last title from any of them was 1993, and none of them has more than two trophies. Cubbies FTW.

Just found out a guy I knew in high school is over 500 lbs. and in hospice care. That's after he lost 330 lbs. I don't even understand how that's possible.

one time my uncle, while drunk (shocker I know), walked into a fancy place downtown, went up to the bar. Bartender stopped him short, said you're underdressed, you won't fit in here. uncle being a wiseass goes back to his car, gets his jumper cables and ties them in a fancy knot around his neck, walks back in, says to the bartender, oh can I fit in now? Sure, says bartender, just don't try to start nothin.

Take that to the bank bromingos
