Hard to help without context.  Can you post a video of how you tell it and I'll give my pointers for the parts that seem to cause you trouble?

hurricanes would clean up the sharks and fish, i'd think.  might want to pull for mother nature here.

 
Won about $240 today playing 1/2 NL poker at the dog track. I played for 2 hours.

I'm no MOP but that's like $120/hour, right?

I think that's sustainable. I'm gonna go draft my resignation letter now.

We hired a dude to show us what to do with a boat, since we were all clueless.  About an hour into his instruction the boat started going insane, alarms going off and nearly sank.  This was early May?  Since then it's been in a boat hospital with the latest estimated time of being fixed at about a week from now.  We've spent over $4000 just in labor, not to mention the new parts of another several thousand, paying for a slip we don't use, etc.

Come to think of it, that's not a funny story.

:lmao: Sorry to hear GB. My neighbors just bought a nice boat and was kind of jealous. Then I talked to her and problem after problem. Going to continue leeching off friends and family. Let me know when we can visit.

I think to justify owning a boat, you gotta use it a lot....like at least once a week. Anything less and you're probably better off renting one for the day or borrowing your friend's boat. 

 
I know very few things well enough to feel confident in what I'm saying in regards to them. Boats are one of the few (I think Maryland tomatoes, steamed crabs, 70s funk, and how not to be in a marriage rounds out the list). Unless you run a successful charter business, there is no way to justify (from a cost standpoint) ever owning one. That doesn't mean owning one is a bad idea any more than having a 80" TV or a Jaguar is. But you'd better be prepared to continually lay out heavy cash to keep that tub running. Marine paint is insanely expensive, so is slip rent. Marine mechanics charge more than lawyers. And that's all assuming you're dealing with legit business people.

Heading to Milwaukee on the 7th, but Mrs. Osaurus is staying with family while I will be having fun.  This will be a different experience for me.  Any Milwaukee area folks up for meeting for beers, brats, cheese curds, etc..? 

 
a woman near me has recently begun, after nearly 2 decades of neglect, to start losing weight. nothing has been formally stated like "hey, i'm going on a diet" but enough "i could eat that fry but that's 20 calories i don't need right now" comments are dropped daily that the :fishing:  for validation is clear.

she has "reached goal #1!" with no discernible actual change in habits. still does nearly nothing physical.. eats like 3 college aged male athletes, etc.

this morning it came to light that this person has jumped aboard the Herbalife train

what kind of nonsense am i in for going forward :(

PLEASE, KEEP IT CLEAN. THIS WOMAN IS SOMEONE'S DAUGHTER, GUYS.

Possibly relevant info: Company B is slightly closer to home but not enough to be a deciding factor.  Company B likely offers some better long term advancement opportunities, but is also about 10X the size of Position A, so in a downturn I think cuts are more likely.  Really hit it off with the hiring manager at Company A, and on paper seems like a great guy to work for

Note: Position B interview was already scheduled prior to receiving the offer

I tell people all the time "you are in the you business. Your company is You, Inc." if you have done a good job in exchange for the compensation you have received to date then you have held up your end and should have zero guilt about looking other places. 

 
Heading down to Dallas this Wed>Sat. I have a cursory knowledge of the town but it's limited. 
 

Staying up near Richardson. Mostly looking for #### to get into Thursday & Friday. Interests Good BBQ, Live Music, Dive Bars, other Fun #### to do.

I've been told this and have told others this MANY times.  Of course I find out the other day that one department has decided to tell MY customer that they don't need to contact me any longer and should contact this department.  Oh and this department has taken it into their own hands to price product because "they are too busy to contact me".  Not.  Happy.

I sell computers on straight commission.  These people seem to forget this ALL THE TIME.  I don't sell, I don't get paid.  So pricing things is just sort of important to me.  You know if I don't want to work for free.  #######s

Know nothing about Richardson, but lower Greenville is the place to be.  

 
Also love my manager telling me that it is better to have them price things because people are sensitive to high prices.  OH NO ####??!!!   I've only been in sales for 35 years,  I didn't realize this.  What a #### he is.

Your manager is a moron. People aren't sensitive to high prices at all.  They are sensitive to paying more than the perceived value.   I could rant about this for days.

In question they wanted to charw MY customer $340 for a part. I looked everywhere and cheapest I could find this same part was for $460.  I was told maybe it wasn't the item like I'm a ####### idiot incapable of doing a Google search on an item number.  Seriously pissed off.
