This, btw, is actually true. I put on a Holiday in Cambodia shirt which ended up in exposing her to listening to the Dead Kennedys for the first time in her life.

So I told the joke Wednesday to a group of six people. I made it last long enough for two rounds of scotch. The three guys started in a rainforest, cold and wet and hungry.  All told it took about 25 minutes.  Absolutely slated the room. Three guys and one girl were dying laughing.  Two girls hated it. 

Best joke ever.

I really hate my city sometimes...

Beerkid told me he ate breakfast at this local mom and pop diner place (I've never been there).

He ordered French Toast and the server corrected him with Freedom Toast.  There were also little American flag toothpicks in his food.

What year is it again?

 
Ficking united airlines.  Returned to the gate for "maintenance"...deferrable maintenance.  Hour ####### delay for deferrable maintenance. 

 
If someone would like to become a billionaire in 2020 (or maybe 2018), develop a RFID/chip system for TVs that will detect when you have voted early and block campaign commercials after that point. I would accept a bodily implant to accomplish this if that's what it takes.

ETA - and I don't even live in a swing state. I can't imagine what those folks are going through.

Some people really hate the lack of assigned seating I guess. For someone who travels a lot for work though, I don't see how you're not going to always be one of the first on board (w/ choice of seats and plenty of overhead space) and first off the plane.

I'm always annoyed when I fly just about any airline besides Southwest. Their system works pretty well IMO.

I like that too. Which is why when I flew back and forth between OAK and SEA on a weekly basis on Southwest, I was usually near the front of the line. 

They actually offer that now as something you can pay for, and it is like $10-$20.

But the bottom line is that even if I was in the middle of Group 2 or something, the Southwest boarding process is still better than most other airlines.
