GM's Thread About Everything/GM's Thread About Nothing (7 Viewers)

there's an absolutely insufferable ##### at the office who shows up at least an hour late every day. comes and goes as he pleases. takes more vacation/sick days than even the lady who has been here 40 years...all around a pretty entitled guy in general.

we share a building with an outpatient opthalmologist and a lawyer's office that seems to specialize in dealing with the elderly. thus all spots near the main office door are handicapped or reserved for the elderly customers who frequent these two businesses.

only this entitled sack of donuts parks in one of those spots every single day when he rolls up late... because all the available spots are "too far away". he's otherwise able-bodied.. just doesn't want to walk.

i'm going to lay some chunks of metal i found under all 4 of his tires
If you do this and record/share it - you will receive $500 in my will.

you're really reading wrong.

first part for sure. but nobody in there is saying anything in there about that second part. they definitely do (myself included) have screwy goggles on about how funny what their kid said or did actually might be to somebody outside of the family, but nobody's posting about thinking highly of their kids there. most of it is stuff about what complete morons our kids are....except for MY kids who are perfect, scarf-wearing overachievers.
This was implied, right?

I believe this just as much as I believe you had some guy sprint into your office today, guffaw a dozen times while trying to make some kind of double entendre with the name "Mahomes" ("More like "MA-HOMOS", amiright?!"), then do twelve wildcats between your desk and the door before engaging you in a tête-à-tête over the last 12-year-old Moon Pie remaining in the snack machine before ear-windmilling/ripping his shirt in half from the neck down while "Real American" cranked from his iPhone on his way out.

Love those things. Second only to blue cheese among the stuffed olive choices.

A standard refrigerator is 35 3/4 inches wide.   Why would anyone build cabinets, including granite countertops, that have an opening of 35 1/4 inches?

Good news! The guy that's going to modify my cabinets will take my old fridge and knock $300 off the $1000 it's going to cost to modify my cabinets by 1 inch.

Roverkid having a problem with a teacher who doesn't want to follow the Section 504 plan. Teacher even accused her of cheating, which is ridiculous because she's allowed open notes on her tests as part of the plan.  Spoke to the counselor today and said if they don't handle it I'll be taking legal action.

Jesus, man. So sorry it's come down like this. You're a good father and I wish for the best results.

What the hell happened in your first post with the weird As?

sounds like, at best, awful communication from the school officers down to her teachers.

have you enlisted a Hennepin Co. attorney to send a stern letter?

I think when Rude bumped the Ritz cracker thread he broke the board.  I made that post and hit submit and it posted it three times, and then changed the spaces to those  A's with the symbol over them.  I wouldn't know how to type that if I tried.

This is just bizarre.

It isn't a communication issue.   The teacher was at the meeting, where she was instructed by the principal to follow the plan.  All of the teachers have a copy and are updated after each doctor appointment.   She's just a piece of work.
