I agree.  Explaining to them what's going on and trying to get this idiot teacher on the same page isn't working.  It's certainly for for a lack of effort on your part.  IMO it's time to take legal action.

only this entitled sack of donuts parks in one of those spots every single day when he rolls up late... because all the available spots are "too far away". he's otherwise able-bodied.. just doesn't want to walk.

I would like to never hear this term again.  My old boss used it like 5 times a day.   He also constantly referred to our law firm as "a grape stand" to emphasize his point that in his view, we were essentially service industry workers and we should always try to make clients happy, even if they were wrong.  I hated that guy and to this day one of my favorite things to do since my name is on the door is tell some ##### that I refuse to work for him.

 
Here’s one that might just be exclusive to education.

Kiddos

For some reason over the last couple of years instead of saying “kids” or “children” educational professionals seem to like saying “kiddos”.  “So if your kiddos need extra time to log in...”  “We need to make sure the kiddos are lining up in order...”

Hey, Darrin?  Just say “kids”.  Not only are you not Australian you have a PhD in some sort of BS kid science ####.  I mean I know it’s from University of Phoeni$ but just stop.

I started a new job on Monday and it's been an intensely busy and exhausting week.  I haven't gotten more then 4 hours of sleep any night this week.  When I left work tonight I was tired and was looking forward to getting some sleep this weekend.  It's now 1:30am and no sleep in site.  I really hate insomnia.  I have no business being this awake right now after the kind of week I just had.

Damn, kiddo, I was going to give it a week and then check in on you, but I guess you beat me to it.  Not sure from your post, though - are you enjoying the work?  Do you think this will be a good spot for you?  I know it was a fabulous opportunity, so I hope it will settle in a bit?

Insomnia is the ####### worst, btw.  No matter how tired I think I am, sleep never comes.

 
Early morning kiddos.  I’m a course marshal for a race over in St. Pete Beach this morning.  I intentionally picked the 10k turnaround close to the finish line so I can get out of here quick and not be on course for the 5k.  The 5k route doesn’t go as far south so I’m free after 8:30 or so.  Suckers.  :excited:

I'm really happy with this opportunity, but I wouldn't mind combining it with some sleep.  I was able to get a full 4 hours last night at least.

 
Fwiw, it not just education w the kiddos. Or at least, it's promulgated from there.

Been a ####ty stressful week at work. Bossman is an anxious type with peaks and valleys and has a habit of spreading the anxiety when he's in the valleys. I've been immune until this week, when a couple of oversights on my part caught up with me. Plus had a client call me on my cell at the office at 8pm to scream at me in a way I've never had to deal with before, about random, not my business #### stuff that I was politely trying to help with.

I hate that my emotions and depression rides such a fine line that stuff like this can send me into an immediate nosedive.

But it's the weekend, and I get to hang with the kiddos to cheer me up.

Have some kiddos. After the initial six months when you never sleep, you come out like a grizzled war veteran, capable of grabbing winks whenever and wherever needed, waking similarly and capable of fixing the world. Or at least changing a diaper. Sometimes even the baby's diaper.

Glad work is good.

It’s the worst. The mega suburban moms, use it militantly around me. Just awful.

My kiddos still dont sleep even at 2 and 4 now. Was up at 3:30am for the day Friday. Should have pulled out or been on the pill, but I just put on the belt and suspenders and went to the grape stand. 

 
heard a lady at work say "we're gonna do our best to land this plane today" instead of "we're going to do our best to finish this project today".

tried on a sweatshirt today that was a bit on the snug side. made my wife give me her thoughts since she can't just say anything straight. i'm always curious to hear how she'll try to say "i ####### hate that. don't." without actually saying it.

she says "it's.... a little..... revealing, i guess. i'm not comfortable with seeing your nipples that much."
