Gloria! by Block 15 - 3.75. Solid pilsner.
Tarty to the Party Cherry Lemon Sour Ale by Wild Ride - 4.0. Unique and clean sour. Right amount of tart.
Vortex IPA by Fort George - 4.25. Very strong but smooth. Good beer to start a session with.
Pils by Heater Allen - 3.75. A bit dryer than a normal pils but quite enjoyable. Apparently Oregon can make a pilsner.
Volatile Substance by Von Ebert - 4.25. My favorite of the group. Drank it on my porch on a crisp morning before a golf round and it was glorious.

Terrific feedback! Glad you enjoyed them and you exercised some good discipline taking your time with them. They'd have been a distant memory for me weeks ago! I'm an IPA/Pilsner drinker for the most part so I had to enlist some help with the sour. I couldn't find my favorite Pilsner to send you - Breakside makes one called Liquid Sunshine and it is delightful on a hot summer day.

You need to get up to Oregon some day. Come for the beer, stay for the ball golf!

Fair point. Again, they were very good. A 3.75 for me is like Dave Portnoy giving a 7.4 to a "good football pizza."

We're moving soon, so we're getting rid of some things via Facebook marketplace. Someone was going to buy some hardwood floor mop thing from us for $15. It was all set. They were going to be here between 3-4 o'clock to pick it up. Just before 4 o'clock, they message us and say they only have a $20 bill, so do we have change? No, sorry, we don't. So they're not coming. Apparently because the extra $5 is too much to bear, and because they can't walk into a gas station and ask for change. So we suggest the gas station thing to them, and they say, no, that won't work. So that's it.

I honestly can't move on in life knowing this.

Tell them they can have it for free, then ghost them

Pretty sure there have been a few threads that did that or something similar.
You might want to name it something that will confuse spam posters and maybe help keep it mamageable.Maybe even only allow posters with n feedback or number of posts.
I love the idea, I hope you're able to find a format doesn't need a ton of moderation.

I stumbled upon Breakside when I grabbed a single from a store in Seattle.
It took me about 5 minutes from first sip to finishing and to backtrack and grab a sixer.
There are so many great breweries in the NW but I seek that one out on my way to infrequent forays out west.

Dulles is horrible on every level. It's ugly as hell, both inside & out. It's a pain to navigate and get ready to walk 100 miles, especially at the international terminal. It takes me longer from landing to getting out of the door than it does to fly in from somewhere like Cancun. Oh, and the traffic can be fun.

My best friend of nearly 17 years has sniffed his last butt. I named him after Sancho Panza from Don Quixote because I thought that would be an awesome name for a chihuahua. I was right! I also had no idea that “Sancho” was Spanish slang for the “other man.” People who spoke the language always laughed when I told them his name. “No no, his name is derived from GREAT LITERATURE,” I’d protest. Didn’t matter - he was the other man. Serendipity, though, as he loved the ladies and they loved him back.

What I’ll remember the most about Sancho was how expressive he was. His face told you everything. And after his early “bark at everyone” years, he learned that strangers tended to give him treats and scratch his ears, so he become a greeter, a fella who worked the room and shook hands and kissed babies. (He would climb on the back of the couch and bark at visitors until they pet him, but then he stopped and just followed them around, instant pals.) From that epiphany moment onward, everyone who met the Sancho loved the Sancho.

He made an appearance on Hartland Hootenanny with Old Crow Medicine Show during the dog days of COVID summer. He only fell in the pool once. I think he delighted in sneaking a lick on your mouth when you let your guard down. He loved our backyard - it must have seemed like a forest to him. He religiously went out every evening and did a long, leisurely walkabout. He liked to pee on my grill.

Saturday mornings, he’d bound up the ottoman and jump onto my lap and give me an aggressive head noozle, and turn around and plop down on my outstretched legs while I drank coffee and watched soccer before the sun came up. That ritual is gone (has been for a little while as he got more sick.) This is going to be the tough part.

I’m going to miss him. His annoying little sister (who will be 16 herself this year) is going to need some extra hugs, too. She’ll get ‘em.

Beautiful remembrance, especially touching as my pup took one last car ride this weekend. A brain tumor turned the friendliest, loving and athletic dog into a shadow of her former self in 6 months.

My other dog is so sad and hardly eating. Making it that much harder.

Listen I get it, he's my dad he's getting older etc etc but man watching my daughter play softball with him is just nails on a chalkboard. He talks the entire time and nothing has to do with the game, and he asks questions that even when I say I don't know he just keeps going on and on and on.... Plus I just saw him yesterday lol

I don't mind a little chit chat but it's 5 hours straight... Just venting here as i obviously put up with it

Its hard when you just lost one, but for the sake of your other dog I recommend getting a puppy asap.
My dog was really depressed when she lost her big brother and we replaced him with a pup within a couple of weeks, for her sake. At first she was a real ***** to him, but within days they were fast friends. They are so happy together now- they just play and play all day long. She's happier now than ever and the new pup has been a total terror. We love them both so, so much.
Good luck. Losing a dog can be emotionally devastating and you will be inclined to wait on a replacement, but I truly think its in the best interest of your other dog and will bring you much joy. and poop clean up and having to replace chewed up shoes.

I don't disagree. But that kind of detail likely gets into something we're not able to manage. That's likely why it's never happened. If someone wanted to start a thread and have a super clear disclaimer Footballguys has zero responsibility for anything on it, that would be ok. But we're not going to have the bandwidth to try and moderate or make it some sort of real marketplace.
