Supposed to have like an all time high of 103 here with a "heat index" of something like 115. So what am I doing? Going camping, of course.

Taking the son and going with a buddy and his kids, luckily he has a camper with AC. But still, that is going to be a hell of a time in the sun all day then cooking campfire pies over an open flame when it's a cool 90 degrees tomorrow night.

Please expound upon 'campfire pies' concept. Sounds tasty.

got an awful drive yesterday, i cant blame the horse too much. came from the 9 hole and got to 4th at the 1/4. brian sears let him brush to the front at the 1/2, which is way too soon since he's a late runner. then he compounded the problem by pushing troon at the 3/4 mark to keep a horse outside. troon was on top with an 1/8 to go, but had nothing left, finishing 7th and getting me no check. he'll be back next friday in some sire stakes stuff and hopefully a better drive. he has ability.

Marvin. Aren't you the Katy Perry fan*? My seatmate on my Atlanta->Memphis flight Friday was her manager's dad. While that might sound like a tenuous connection, the guy showed me about 200 pictures of her on his phone from events around the world, including her birthday, his son's birthday, various shows, etc. I have never thought she was very great-looking but was more just a set of boobs, but in "real" life she is absolutely freaking gorgeous. Also has a sister who looks a lot like her and is equally gorgeous.

My mom threatened to take me and my daughter to Disney next year. I think she was a little surprised that I wasnt all excited.
