Reading FFA, making plans for the weekend and playing Monopoly on my phone.I don't think there is anyway I can get any work done today.
Pogo Monopoly is :moneybag:
I'm becoming re-obsessed with Monopoly. I use to play a ton as a kid, left it as I discovered girls and over the last month, I think I have averaged 2-3 games a day on my phone. I have watched the Monopoly documentary twice in the last week and has actually spent some time reading strategy. :nerd:

Somebody make me laugh. Or talk about having a really craptastic day so I'll feel better about myself. TIAI love you (except Tanner and Frosty)
The 3rd floor bathroom in our building is being revamped. My office is on the 3rd floor and I DRINK A LOT OF ICED TEA, and we have to go to 2 or 4 for a month. Earlier today I had to go and was heading to the 2nd floor. I move an estimated 86 times the speed of an average Memphian, and as I went to the stairway* I shoved the door open with the fervor and determination of someone who has not peed for six hours because of the ridiculous number of meetings we have. Somehow in doing so I missed the fact that there was someone on the other side of the door, despite there being a tiny doorwindow through which I could have peered. After shoving the door open with the fury of a thousand suns, and nearly taking someone's face off in the process, I said to the potential victim, "I'm so sorry; I don't know how I could have missed you."Pretty much simultaneously with which I realized the person to whom I'd directed the comment was a woman weighing about 300 pounds. And from her look to me pretty clearly decided the "couldn't have missed me" comment was weight-related.OOF.Totally not funny but an attempt to help whatever your issue might be.YIC,K4*Our three elevators are currently overloaded with people who can't be bothered to take the ONE FLIGHT of stairs to another floor
:lmao: Thank you!!! And at least the 300 pounder is taking the stairs and not the elevator, good for her.
:lol:There was high drama in my office this week when one (skinny) woman scolded another (heavier) woman for eating cake: "you'll never lose those 25 pounds eating like that!" and then followed it up with this gem: "well because of your nationality you're probably just destined for that, so why bother, right? Hahaha!"
Good lord!

Only familiar with a few of them. Sierra Nevada churns out consistent, above average beers and their Torpedo is no exception. Oregonians will always back their beers over any others brewed in the nation, but I like Sierra Nevada's brews quite a bit more than many of the beers produced in Oregon. I've never been a big fan of Fat Tire unless I'm cooking with it, but it's very popular. New Belgium makes a lager called "Shift" I like a lot more than their flag ship Fat Tire. never had their Tart Lynhee, but anything with the word "Tart" in it is going to scare me off.Leinenkugels is a cheap beer to enjoy while your ice fishing in Minnesota or having a shave in a lake amongst portly iBuddies. It is not a very good producer of craft beers and I didn't like their Summer Shandy at all, but it's a light, easy drink.Shiner is one of the most overrated beers in the world. Sorry Texas.

Summer shandy is very refreshing and a great session beer.

Fat tire is awesome.

Never had any of the others.

HH a standard shortcut for Happy Hour? News to me.

GM - I'm convinced that nobody REALLY likes Shiner, even down here. I know tons of people that "used to" like Shiner Bock.

I think you're on to something here. I can't remember the last time I ordered or bought Shiner Bock. Too many better options in that price range.

And Fat Tire definitely sucks.
That's just ridiculous. Fat tire grew a tiny brewery into a powerhouse on the national micro market on its shoulders alone. When it was first expanding people were going heads over heels for it. Is it overplayed now? Probably. There's also many beers I like more, but to say it sucks is a "it's too popular" to be good knee-jerk reaction.

Agree.I like that black ale New Belgium makes...1551 or something.

That's a good one as is their Sunshine Wheat and their summer seasonal Somersault, formerly Springboard.

Can't co wrong with anything New Belgium, but I see this has already been covered.

I don't mind Shiner  I've had a session or six with it

I had a summer shandy in Iowa while golfing in 100 degree heat and it may have been the most delicious thing I've ever had.

I think new Belgium does a great job on their sours/tarts/fruit beers and the lychee is no exception. I've had it on draft and out of the bottle, and my wife digs it too. If you've never had a sour beer it may be a little weird, but it's not super sour. Just a little, well, tart.

Beer is good.

Seriousy. You want enough that she and the kid(s) won't end up living on the streets, but not so much that she becomes immediately more attractive to other men.

I had the Shiner Ruby Redbird last week. I would guess you might like that

I was in the middle of a serious sesh over the 4th and had a large fridge full of Summer Shandy at my disposal. Had to tack mid stream and move to Miller Light. I should point out that I hate Miller Light.

Springboard is their spring seasonal, i think. My favorite beer of theirs is 2 Below which is the winter seasonal.

I used to go one floor up or one floor down to go #2 in my old office. Didn't want to taint my floor.

1554 is solid. Fat Tire is pretty basic taste-wise IMO. Big fan of the other Ft. Collins brewery Odell.

ETA: Still love Pyramid Apricot Ale, but can't get it in FL so I get Sea Dog which is close, but not the same.

:no:It was their summer but it apparently confused people because they changed it last year.

Uggh.

Can we can back to talking about cool stuff like guster knee deep in poon or shot videos?

You beer nerds should move this session to the beer thread.
