GM's thread about nothing (23 Viewers)

A friend of mine moved to CT. Never paid much attention to where but yup, she moved to Sandy Hook. Has a 4 year old that will start K in that same building or wherever they have class next year.

Yes thank God for the media AND the government. Why without their truth and the joy that they bring us where would we be? The media's 1st amendment right to lie and deceive is more important than your 2nd amendment right to protect yourself from these despots. Just keep trusting the curse of the media- the violent super "star" actors, the porn, the drama, the filth, the fake newscasters and their perfect teeth. The deception warps minds. Warped minds pick up weapons be it a gun, a knife, a hammer, a golf club and make out like true American heroes like the fine citizens at the Ba Da Bing or one of those angels in Saw or even a late term abortion doctor where 15 year old girls go because they have no morality and they need to rub out a "mistake"

No real crazy is being deceived by a lying media. You buy this nonsense that the media feeds? I sense a real danger with folks like yourself calling everyone who you disagree with- "crazy". What is crazy is suggesting that Americans should violate their second amendment right. What is crazy is absorbing the filthy violence from the media instead of recognizing that violence as being a true curse on Americans. What is crazy is ignoring the lust for violence and America's obsession with violence. What is crazy is accepting your never ending spoon fed drivel of lies and mind molding. Wars! Violent video games! Gangsta Rap! Violent movies! MMA! WWE! Porn! Legal drugs! Illegal Drugs! Tony Soprano! Fight Club!

Survivor pool input welcomeTwo weeks left and 11 still alive. Total jackpot is around 5 grand.Options left this week are:Denver - plays Cleveland this week. Might want to save for Week 17 vs KC. Will they be playing for top seed in week 17 or resting?Indy - at KC. Do I want young QB on road? Chiefs looked like they've packed it in though.Skins - at PHL. Ditto from above except the game REALLY matters to Skins. Could SKins be looking ahead to Dallas?Carolina - Raiders come East. Don't really trust the Panthers though.Aside from Denver, my Week 17 options include Titans hosting Jags and Saints hosting Carolina. So I could take Denver (vs CLE) and Titans (vs JAX) but right now I'm leaning Indy (@KC) and DEN (vs KC) and double up on the Chiefs.
I'd go Carolina, then Denver. Carolina's an 8.5 point favorite, Indy only 6.5.Assuming NE beats Jacksonville on the road and Miami at home, and that Denver beats Clevo this week, they'll need to win on Week 17 to get the first-round bye. NE owns the tiebreaker, I believe.

From Rotoworld this morning:Coach John Fox confirmed the Broncos have no plans to rest Peyton Manning down the stretch.

The Broncos currently hold the AFC's No. 2 seed, but they need to win out to stay ahead of third-seeded New England. So Manning will play despite two "easy" games against the Browns and Chiefs. At age 36 and coming off a year out of football, Peyton ranks fourth in passer rating, sixth in passing yards and third in touchdowns through 14 weeks.Source: USA Today

I agree on Carolina then Denver. If they do rest players week 17, you should know about it in advance. And you'll be in no different position than if you took the Broncos this week, 'cause you're not taking the Panthers in NO week 17.

Secret

My daughters first original song. Lyrics and music written by her and she did some of the engineering as well.

So freaking proud
This is extremely good...she sounds way beyond her years (IIRC she's about 21ish?). How many more originals does she have? If I were her, I'd be in coffee shops/bars playing solo/acoustic nights as much as possible.I'd be very proud too

I've tried several times and can't get this to where I can listen. I'm sure it's my virus-infected computer. Anyway, I'm sure it's great. :)

Thanks for all the kind words.
Just got a chance to listen to it a minute ago. That's pretty damn good. I'm trying to think what her voice reminds me of. Fiona Apple maybe?
I get a bit of Dolores O'Riordan (Cranberries)
I'll have to look her up. Thanks GB.
No year end bonus for me this year. Zilch. First time in 12 years I've been completely iced out. Ooooof. I'd like to drink heavily, but I can't really afford it. Course, there are people having it much worse off than me, so I'll just shut up about it and go to work tomorrow looking for ways to make more money somehow. :kicksrock:
Sorry to hear GB. Hope next year goes bananas for you!

Great singer. It's pretty quiet on my iPad though for some reason. Maybe I'm just getting old.

I have a four-hour meeting on our debt agreements starting at noon. If I were going to quit, I really should do it in the next three minutes.

Guess I'll just try to work some shtick in somehow.

At JR's preschool Christmas program. 78% chance that he just stands on stage picking his nose instead of singing with his class.

I'm sure if it is like all of the other preschool programs I've been to his performance will not affect the overall quality of the show.
Both predictions were accurate.
My niece's kid had his program a couple of weeks ago. My mom called to ask if the wife and I wanted to go. I told her "no" between fits of laughter. She came back with "Well you brothers and your sister are going." I said "Aren't you glad you had one smart kid?"

My faith in my 6 year old daughter's future is starting to look bright. After years of Hannah Montana, Katy Perry and Justin Bieber, she is starting to sing along with my music in the car. Her current favorites are 'Madness' by Muse and 'Sympathy for the Devil'.

I remember when my son was around that age and he asked me to play 'Jerry Was A Racecar Driver' again.

earlier this week my 8 year old got in an argument with my ex wife about whether "Crazy Train" is classic rock or not. Pretty happy she's branching out from Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato.

Checking in from Iowa (hey Pickles). Got Jethros BBQ for lunch. Pork tenderloin was the size of a small child.

Give them the "Debt Agreement???" in your best Jim Mora/Allen Iverson tone.
