GM's thread about nothing (34 Viewers)

why can't this Celebrity Ghost Stories show have, you know, people we all didn't think were crazy long before they appeared on this show?

Since it appears that I will never receive my GMTAN Secret Santa gift.... an autographed coshole group photo would be an excellent proxy gift.
Rude?
Not me. I had Sofa last year. Still working on Homer gift over here.
WTF :lmao:

So who Keyed SK this year?
Homer has been Keys'dSofa has been Keys'd

I have been Keys'd

:kicksrock:
So who are the other offending parties?
The aforementioned Aaron, Zooks and Homer himself. I wasn't too worried because I knew Aaron and Homer had some travel issues in December and Zooks went off the grid but I had figured they'd ship theirs by now

Three of my favorite people. This saddens me.

I feel unprepared for coshole. Please advice...Will there be beer pong? How does a pro like Homer get drunk on Miller Lite?Do I need to pack anything besides my cowboy hat?Is there a prize for making out with the most (or hottest) tranny at that Carnival thing? Asking for Uni...
Cos nailed it. Oh, and if we go to Carnaval I will seek out the hottest tranny. :pickle:

I just sobbed for about two hours straight about my job. HINT: I'm not a crier. I really don't know what to do. Tears about to flow again.I don't know what to do.

I did give my boss two months' notice today that I'm leaving. I don't think he really took it seriously, kept talking about percentages of certainty and things that could change my mind. I guess that has worked somewhat before, so you go with what you know.I'm telling him now that the two months is only as a courtesy to him, or I'd be out as of today.ETA: Now I'm going to catch up with all these posts for the day!

I thought GM would appreciate this.We were in Elk, CA (Population 238, iirc) over the weekend. There's not much IN Elk, CA. Driving in any direction from Elk, CA doesn't produce much more, unless you're trying to find an ocean, in which case driving west would quickly end your search.About 25 miles outisde Elk, in Fort Bragg, we happened upon a store that produced the following from my wife: "Oh, holy ####ing hell, I've never been so happy to see a Rite Aid in my life."I don't think we'll be moving to Elk anytime soon.
Did you drive through Marin? Look for the one Mexican in the town, you can't miss me.

Actually we had a little scare with son's GF the other night. We were all at dinner and the wife noticed GF was wearing a small Star of David necklace. Turns out she wears it in honor of her late grandmother who was Jewish (GF is not). Whew.
Kinky Jewish girls like it when you pull their horns during love-making.
No. No I don't.

Interesting that I just realized now that GPJ is Scott Baio.

Hoop Dreams revolutionized the doc gameWouldn't be a Waiting for Superman without Hoop Dreams
SureI guess I'm in the minority here, but after watching Hoop Dreams I don't have the thought "wow, that was incredible". Or "my God, we need to change what we are doing as a society". It's considered one of the greatest movies of all time by critics. Maybe THE greatest doc. Overrated.
You are also watching this film nearly 20 years after it was made, so you've had two decades to watch comparable documentaries, many of which profile inner-city American life or perhaps have more profound and successful conclusions. This movie was groundbreaking stuff back in 1994. White affluent Americans were introduced to a segment of the population that had little to no exposure, save for crime reports or the occasional drive-by with the windows up and the doors locked. This film thrust us into the lives of poor kids whose families made incredible sacrifices so their children could have a shot at a better life and maximize their athletic abilities. This wasn't a Hollywood depiction of race issues, economic division or cultural divide; it was the real thing. Roger Ebert called it the film of the 90s...high praise.
 This almost seems written by someone else, perhaps due to the absence of misspellings? In any case, :goodposting:

Tommy Coy?
Sorry, tired. :lmao: Who is he on here? Seems to be a FBG based on our mutual friends, but I'm forgetting who it is. Am wondering because of message and friend request I received from a friend of this person.
Uh-oh, for reals? PM me. There are some business/network contacts on there that are wingnuts. :-/
Nice that you're back! Stick around a bit. You'd been gone so long I forgot who the RL person was.Your "friend" has last name Hansen and first sent me a PM saying he was a great friend of yours and was just saying hi. Then he sent a friend request. I've ignored both! If he's harmless I'm fine in accepting the request but it was a bit strange in addition to reading something he'd posted on your wall.

underestimate forrest at your own peril.

We will be rolling in sometime Friday evening. I have to pry Romo away from the poker tables in Tunica first thing Friday morning (I've already told him that we will be on the road by 7:00 a.m. and to behave accordingly Thursday night), then we are planning a small-ish detour at one of my best friend's new restaurants in Ft. Worth. My hope is that we will be there by 8 or 9 Friday night but that may be unrealistic/overly optimistic. I will plan to stay in touch with cosholers via phone or text over the course of Friday.
Hold on here, now just wait wait WAIT a mother-########-second. You'll be in Tunica? You know that's just a hop skip jump from Memphis, right? I don't mind if YOU see me fat...well, at least not so much.

Maybe OH could ride shotgun with YSR and ROmo, giving you room in the backseat for a road trip.

Cos - Who did your patio? Would you recommend them? AngryWife and I have a homemade paver patio that we did several years ago, but it kinda sucks because we drank margaritas nonstop throughout the construction and we're looking to have it professionally replaced with some kind of flagstone thing. Also, recent posts remind me of a tender few minutes I had in a hall closet with a slightly chubby but eager Jewess at a Young Conservatives of Texas Holiday party 15 years or so ago. I think Colin was there even though he's always played coy about whether we've ever met in real life.

We can discuss during the hole. SOme of the contractors were pretty good, some not so much.Pretty sure COlin is more ashamed of having been in the Young Conservatives of Texas , than he was for knowing you. At least he should have been.

I would need to check my shame list. But I like Bentley's chances on this one.

GM, did you like the Bachelor link I send you last week? Never heard back.
I forgot to open it. Was it a link to your local radio guys? I try to avoid most video/radio/audio clips at work for the aforementioned reason that we all work out in the open. I'm about to strangle Truckiasasopo for his Wolverines shtick. :hot:

I was shocked too after googling it turned up nothing. GM hiring a ghost writer now?

Something I stumbled upon browsing youtube

It's a guy owning some angsty kid in the first person shooter game Modern Warfare

Finally got to listen/watch this just now. The guy that posted the vid is a total tool. He complains about the other guy using a Striker (shotgun) while he's carrying a sniper rifle and a pistol/tactical knife. After he dies several times he switches to some sub akimbo which is a total itch move. The kid he's playing against is pretty bad. I would have owned him with a Striker or P90. I actually probably would have used an AR with noob tube just to piss him off.

Yeah they have Wolf on from last year every Tuesday. I've never actually seen the show but find the segment funny none-the-less.

I switched to Google Chrome a few months ago. It highlights in red every time I misspell a word, so can appear much smarter than I did on IE. :bag:I like documentaries >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> regular movies. I also used to watch Siskel & Ebert every week religiously. Hell, I own several of Ebert's books. Hell, hell...I used to record their show on VCR. :bag:

Iamsmilin sure taking personal vendetta in AR's thread
#noprudeShe's closer to right than wrong, given who she's talking to
i'm not taking sides, as I could never even fathom what AR has got going on...but you can tell ARs actions cut deep for whatever reason. It's like she won't quit until AR admits that he was wrong and apologizes to all women everywhere.
That's kind of her m.o., no?
I'm not sure. I never really paid much attention to her ;shrug:
She expects an apology by 9 tomorrow morning for that.

Did you also record everyone of their reviews (+ means 'thumbs up' - means 'thumbs down') in a special notebook and then take said notebook to the video store with you? If so then you are my mom.

I'm way with you on documentaries v. regular movies. Real life is generally so much more fascinating.

Oh and by "him" I meant the dillhole that posted the vid. He's not very good either. I love it when rubes throw C-4 like Kordell Stewart with rotator cuff injury. Hell I could have racked up 4 or 5 kills on him up on the catwalk on the dome with just an XM-25.
