Serious, Non-Coshole Question for Professionals, Especially Krista and Others who Hire People:

I submitted a cover letter and C.V. to a local place on 1/31. Apps were due 2/1. Is it cool and/or beneficial to give them a ring and ask about interviews, or is that being annoying? If it's a good thing, do I just contact their HR department or ring up the department I applied to?

Thanks.
I recruit.I'd wait until Friday, then send an email as a follow-up.

Are you going through Wisconsin? I thought it was like 200 miles from Tennessee to Texas.
1040 miles door to door. Coolest part is that we are currently sitting still on I-40 about 40 miles east of Little Rock. Actually just idling in Park. No idea what's going on, but I can see about 3/4 mile of trucks ahead of me, most with their engines cut off. This drive is shaping up nicely.

I hate geography.Google maps showing all green between Little Rock and Shantytown.

You want me to bring my ####in' tools?

First full night of drinking with Homer... now first hangover of the trip. There may be a connection here.
:goodposting:There's drinking, then there's drinking with Homer. It's a whole other experience.
I was surprised at how sober people seemed during that shot video on saturday night.
There was a shot video Saturday night?
After the bars. Accidental cucumbering of the vodka

Ysr - I remember very clearly telling you that 10 was a better route and going through Arkansas was a mistake. cLeARLY.

Yeah but then cos told Romo that the Louisiana cops were going to shake us down for money, so here we are. We're moving now. Only added about 25 minutes.

Ill take my chances in Beaux Bridge and Lafayette over the entirety of the 130 mile stretch between little rock and west Memphis. I mean, have you not seen Paradise Lost?

Romo's just sitting there watching BB while his pregnant wife drives through Banjoville? That doesn't seem very chivalrous.
that was my thought too. maybe the weirdest thing about this whole weekend.

Completely fair. You're driving for two now. Need the extra miles, IMO.

I assure you that doesn't even make the top 10.
Believe me, it's better for our marriage if I drive. I might be a little bit of a control freak re: travel (see: will not fly). Also, I'm thrilled that he is finally watching BB. he'll be done with S1 by Jackson, TN. He's hooked. And :lmao: at krista.

I can't imagine being in a car driven by a pregnant lady for that long. 60 mph, then 80 because its hot and im getting pissed, then I saw a place that said frozen yogurt a mile back I think im going to turn around, then did you remember to mail that thing? Is that how you're going to be when the baby comes? Then stop to pee, and repeat the whole process. That's not even the amount of time it takes to watch one breaking bad episode. I would watch naked terrorists kill puppies with the still screaming heads of dying babies if it would allow me to wear headphones on that road trip.

While it sounds as if everyone had a great time, the recaps thus far have been pretty uninspiring. Hopefully everyone is just recovering.

One of my favorite memories of the weekend;Bentley and I met up with cos, Uruk, homer, and thorn for lunch Friday at a Mexican place. The place is located just north of downtown, which means cosjobs thinks its Yankee territory. Anyway, introductions were made and drinks were served (coffee for cos, water for Bentley, beer for the rest of us). Cos declares that his primary motivation for coming to Amaya's was because their puffy tacos were the best anywhere....well worth the trip. Tells everyone they can be ordered with or without rice and beans. But get the puffy tacos...best around. Of course no one followed his advice which led to cos looking at us all skeptically, mutter-swearing under his breath, and generally wanting lunch to end so he could go home and take a nap.

this thing needs a gatormanesque recap.
No doubt.Unless, I've missed it there have been no near death stories so far. I'm pretty sure I almost died (or nearly killed) in Vegashole, MHI, and MHII. Someone has to have come close to death at coshole.

we need a midwest GMTAN cornhole at some point. Should we all meet up in Madison or something?seems like a good spot for Minnesota, Milwaukee, and Chicago people at least.
We are doing one in July in DC. You're welcome to come, as is anyone else that deemed normal (no Mr Pack/Goggins please).
Hmmm.
Still working the dates, trying to align the stars with the best dance nights so we can see your new moves.
