Is this where we report on how much we hate our jobs?
I work 3 days a week, am drunk much of that time, and even in the dregs of January and February it's the equivalent of a $50k desk job. When summer rolls around, I'll be bringing home a couple grand per week cash.I love my job.
You've never considered following the money in the "off-season"? I have friends rolling between Ibiza (and similar) in the summer, and the alps in the winter... they don't have months that are slow.
Almost did Hawaii this year, but started my current job in September and the money was good enough to make me want to stay year-round. Will definitely be looking at traveling next winter. F### this cold weather bull####.
Because Youngstown is tropical?
I didn't really have a choice in where I was born, nimrod. And FYI, I'm living the high life in the Hamptons these days...Youngstown is far behind.
You know, I think maybe I should just give up this job and my family, move out to where you are and tend bar with you. We could make Tom Cruise and that other guy look like amateurs. Dude, I bet we'd RAPE! :excited:

Been in sales for about 16 years total, with a break of about 2 years in the middle. The last 10 in construction materials.
A two year break, nice. I was telling Mrs. SLB last night how when I was a younger man I used to laugh at the older guys being like Gil. Now I feel like I'm slowly but surely turning into him.
Not sure if you guys get Bob and Tom (fairly cheesy morning zoo radio guys) in your area but they have this recurring character that calls in to the show named Kenny Tarmac.Kenny is a sales-guy that is always calling from an airport on his way to a connecting flight. He calls everyone "shooter" and insists on giving you his itinerary "Hey, Shooter...we just landed! I'm at ORD out of ATL on the way to DFW!" He also uses all of the crappy industry jargon and catch phrases like "low hanging fruit" etcI think if you search "kenny tarmac" on youtube there's a few clips.

One of my favorite student workers brought in a whoopie cushion today. She walked into my office and was said, "my stomach really hu- fffffffptptppbpt" and I have been shaking with laughter since. I'm apparently an 8-year-old boy. So stupid. :lmao:
I got my Eviltron's the other day. Installed in the IT department. Can't wait to get to the office tomorrow. :coffee:

GM - Where did you pull off? If this was SoDo then I feel your pain. Otherwise Federal Way, Tacoma, Olympia and Chehalis are all pretty straightforward for pulling off the highway and getting some food.

I was a little confused by this part as well. Never had issues in our trips from Seattle to Portland.

I don't know, but when I parked at Starbucks, I faced a giant store called "Smoke & Dress", which I'd seen before. What the hell is that? Anyhow, you can't go left, you're forced into U-turns which aren't always permitted, the lanes veer off and go other directions and before you know it, you're in the sticks with trailers around you.

Pretty sure it was SoDo. And come on...when I first met up with you, we walked around the ENTIRE restaurant where we were supposed to have beers and watch football. We couldn't find the entrance together. Don't play all Maurile Tremblay with me, pal.

:lmao:yeah, but that was Portland on some island where there used to be an amusement park or something.SoDo is kind of a nightmare to navigate. I can't even picture a Hooters around there though.

So the Subway in that parking lot and the Burger King across the street weren't options? ;)Just kidding - that area is a little tricky. Going a bit further South to Federal Way would have yielded more options.

I have no idea if it was SoDo or not, but I was disoriented. I went south on 5 for a few more miles before spotting Hooters, which was a breeze to find.

I went to my Google Maps App on my BLACKBERRY and see that I tried to find Jack's Country Restaurant in Des Moines, but got scared and drove into McDonald's. Why on earth do they stop selling breakfast before 11am? Is that new? The kind of people who frequent McDonald's don't strike me as the 'up and at 'em' sorts, but I guess I'm wrong.

I think I got a female FB friend to believe me when I told her that Michelle Obama was in hot water because the CIA let her pilot a drone strike. If you follow any sentence with "(actually true)", people tend to believe you more.

SAP sucks.I'm eating pretzels coated in Chipotle Tabasco because I don't know when I'm going home tonight for dinner. I get to work yet again this weekend, and this time I'm bringing up the kids because I don't want to give up yet another weekend with them. I will set up a projector and iPad in my office and let them watch movies while I #### around with someone else's trashed up data. The only positive is that they had a masseur here earlier in the week and gave everyone a 15-min chair massage. Not only was it amazing, it gave me a reason to text the stripper and compare the massage I had just received to the massage she gave me last week. She proceeded to tell me about how she was being lazy, didn't go to work, but did get all of her laundry done. While this was immensely boring, it also didn't feel like a "you should come see me at work and give me all your money" type texts I expected from her.Ohh, and the Wiccan FWB has found her a new boyfriend and they are "exclusive", so that fun is over. SAP sucks.

Congrats Guster on your new hippie job.(Side note, really cute SAP consultant here this week, found out she is based in Cincinnati, my first thought was "F'in Gusher)Congrats to GM on eating bad food and seeing sad boobs.Congrats to K4 on the new baby coming (sorry, skimmed most of the last 20 pages, I'm just assuming out of context)

My company shut down our current ERP system tonight as we prepare to move to SAP on Monday.I really wanted to play the clip from Office Space of them destroying the printer at our stand up tomorrow, because that is exactly how everyone in the company feels about the old system, but I can't a clip with the song edited. I'm guessing Geto Boys at 9am with executives all around would not be the best idea.
That's nothing compared to how you are going to feel about a SAP integration.

I just scored a stripper's phone number.

I give all credit to watching Stu and listening to Homer at Coshole. OK, and a few things from Guster as well.
