GM's thread about nothing (10 Viewers)

I took the day off today. Half the day was spent making it easier to kill Bambi this fall/winter. I shouldn't run out of venison this year.

The second half of the day was spent fishing. Fishing for crappie involves light tackle, small reels, and flimsy rods. I can't promise I've never caught a bigger spotted bass, but they are fierce fighters and the 3lb spotted bass I caught today was amazing considering the equipment. I've caught exponentially larger fish in salt water which I wouldn't even compare. It might be one of my coolest fishing experiences ever and it was over in what seemed like a blink of an eye.

Speaking of offshore fishing, apparently I have the green light to move to the coast while maintaining my current job status, gaining more freedom with my current occupational structure. I'd still be required to do things from time to time, but considering normal turn around times, I would be free to be where I wanted to be and work when I wanted to work, when I wanted to work. It seems I'll be moving to the coast as soon as I get my house on the market and sold. Not kidding here. Pretty excited. w00t

A kid got stabbed on the bus going to Future Mrs. Bronkowitz's school this morning. She's a social worker and will be counseling kids all day.

Text received from her

"ugh I will be ready for a drink..might have to happy hour with work people after a day like today and then meet you when you get out"

I get stressed out at my job but cannot imagine the kind of stress she goes through on a daily basis. GB her.

How many times? What was the stabbing implement? Motive? Let's not jump to the conclusion that this is the worst thing ever.

Now THAT is a rough gig. Takes a special kind of person to go into social work/counseling.

:lmao: Stabbed 3 times, twice in the leg and once in the torso. Sounds like he'll be ok. He was jumped by 3 other kids, 2 of which they think don't even go to that school

Better break off the engagement.
:bs: This is my out? Hmmm

 I love catching a big fish on a small rod (figuratively and metaphorically). Nothing fights like a bass.

I remember days of my youth using super tiny hooks and almost any kind of bait from little bread balls to worms to catch sunnies under a bobber. Good times.

Last night at the bar the owner, who has been hanging around our group for the last 5-6 years, asks me how old I am. I reply what a strange question, how old do you think I am? He answers 48, I  and he says 51?

Should have punched him in the colostomy bag. THAT is old.

I have a strained left groin muscle. It started hurting this morning when I got out of the shower. I played golf a week ago but haven't done anything that didn't require a couch since then. Any ideas?

I just found a leftover colored golf ball from a recent mini-golf outing. Walking on the course with real putter + leftover ball w/o paying and playing a round...poor form?
