GM's thread about nothing (23 Viewers)

No, I don't expect that it will be. Washington is the game I'm scared of the most. I'll worry about Stanford IF the Ducks get past the Huskies, and I don't know that they will. I would like to go to a game in Colorado one day. My buddy that came up for the Cal game went to Boulder a couple years ago and loved it. Said it was one of the best places he's ever been to for football. Said the gals were very hot. Imagine that.
That's kind and all, but don't be. Oregon's been beating Washington like Tonya Harding after a silver medal for the better part of a decade, I'll believe it's over after it's over.

Stop to get a piece of smoke salmon from Dierbergs 94 for lunch today and there was a gal wearing a

"Jesus

is kind

of

a

big deal!"

shirt asking for samples of various items at the deli counter.

She was finishing one little cup of slaw or something and asked for another as I approached. I'm guessing this was more than her second "sample". Anyhow, she directs the gal waiting on her to help me out. I asked for the salmon and here jesus girl mumble "oh this is soooo good". I get me fish and as I'm walking away I hear the worker say "so what can I get for you" and Big Deal says "none of that is going to work for me" and then walks away.

People have some nerve. :lmao: :lmao:
This is why I don't have a fish on my car. I'd probably represent poorly.

Bob...how are tge beers from t hth e O'Fallon Brewing Company? I bought their Pumpkin beer but haven't tried it yet? Just the one bottle as I needed to fill out my 6pack when I saw it.
I'm married with children. When I'm not contemplating sweet, sweet, death, I'm drinking whiskey or cheap beer.
I am a big fan of the Pumpkin Beer from O'fallon. I also like the Kite Tail and Hemp Hop Rye.

Driving home from the city yesterday with Miss and one of the moppets. We were singing and car dancing, because that's what we do. We were cruising along at about 130 (I think that's about 8 gallons for my American friends) when a rig blew a tire and sent debris everywhere. Cars started skidding and bumping into each other in front of us. I managed to steer around a couple of collisions without hitting anyone and got free of the mess. This is when Miss yelled "You didn't even stop singing!!!" :bowtie:
What song?

Limp Ditka bringing the funny in the breaking bad thread...

Like all great shows, the ending is gonna be interpreted different ways. I really started to tune out after Hank was killed. I thought somehow someway that the family would stay intact. I can't imagine Jesse cooking once they killed his girl. There was no motivation at that point, maybe just a scare would have kept him moving along.
 AS soon as todd got back in the car Jack told Jesse to quit crying and to remember there was a little boy left to think about.
Like MOPs going to understand being motvated for the welfare of a fatherless kid.

The Chance thread keeps getting bumped but I don't want to go back into it to see why. Good news or bad news, or just more condolences?

We had a gallon of Sangria in the cabinet so I did the responsible thing last night and chilled it, opened it, and drank about 1/3 of it. That #### is strong and I'm guessing the bottle was about $8. Which means an entire evening of drinking can be had for under $3. At the moment, this seems to be a very efficient and cost effective way to drnkk teh booze.

Pre-bottled Sangria? :yuck:

So you're now willing to put more gallons per day into yourself than your car?

Too bad they don't sell it in those mini bottles.

Random story for a Tuesday: The Free Fallin' video by Tom Petty features a skateboard scene. The girl skating (who was, uh, "useful" to many teenagers including myself) is named Brandi McClain. She got the job in part because her boyfriend was cast as the skater riding on the ramp with her. That skater was Mark Rogowski, also known as "Gator." He was one of the most popular skaters back in the Bones Brigade / Christian Hosoi era and used to bank about $25k a month (about 50k now) from his endorsements with Vision and Vision Streetwear. He and McClain had a very tempestuous relationship based in no small part to their frequent drug use. Finally, Gator found religion and got sober...and told McClain they would no longer be having sex out of wedlock. She bolted. A year later, the girl that introduced the two of them years before called Gator out of the blue and asked if he would show her around San Diego as she was moving there. Her name was Jessica Bergsten and she went to Gator's condo to drink wine and watch movies. Except he hit her in the head with a club and did some terrible things to her. And now Gator is in jail for a long time for murder. The last update I've seen of Brandi McClain is that she was one of the girls arrested in the Heidi Fleiss sting 20 years aog.

WTF?

Usually when people label something as random, it takes about 5 seconds to realize it's anything but random.

I think he may have actually set random.org to "Everything on the internet" and posted the first thing it produced.

Can you break this up into smaller pieces for easier consumption?

Like one word an hour or maybe one sentence per day?

I didn't lose two motions today that would have carved $1.5 million out of my client's claim. Not losing = just as good as winning.

Hot girl in the Tom Petty video is the catalyst for homicide and the resulting downfall of quasi-famous person.
