GM's thread about nothing (19 Viewers)

Lots of points sitting on IB&N bench. Just sayin
huh
IB&N = Ice Bags and Nachos
Oh, I know.
so why the "huh"
Just that my team out bench scored your team. Next year, you get to design and organize the GMTAN League. Man up.
It was a friendly jab at commisholio - who sets our lineup. I would never doubt your commish skillz

Sorry. Drunk and depressed.

Good news alert

Found out today I won my trial from last week which keeps a small business owner in her space, and her two employees (her children) employed. Haven't wanted one that badly in a long long time. Feeling really satisfied.

Quit bringing us up, man.

Stop to get a piece of smoke salmon from Dierbergs 94 for lunch today and there was a gal wearing a

"Jesus

is kind

of

a

big deal!"

shirt asking for samples of various items at the deli counter.

She was finishing one little cup of slaw or something and asked for another as I approached. I'm guessing this was more than her second "sample". Anyhow, she directs the gal waiting on her to help me out. I asked for the salmon and here jesus girl mumble "oh this is soooo good". I get me fish and as I'm walking away I hear the worker say "so what can I get for you" and Big Deal says "none of that is going to work for me" and then walks away.

People have some nerve. :lmao: :lmao:

Good Job thorn. In a case like that do you go to the courtroom and have an "all rise...court is in session...thorn has whupped your ###?" or do you get the verdict another way?

I've begun getting gas about $5-$10 at a time. The gas stations around my house have this promotion where somtimes you get an NFL player for a fantasy football contest when you get gas.

The judge offered to give her ruling from the bench, which I was fine with, but the other guy convinced her that she needed to look up some laws and other BS. So she took it under advisement and sent a written ruling in the mail.

Good lawyering, Thron. Now go get an avatar that works.

Not sure if anybody caught the Oregon/Cal game Saturday night. I have been going to games regularly since 2000. I have sat through some bad, wet, cold, nasty games. I've never in my life attempted to sit through what came down on Saturday. And it is STILL coming down. Hard. From what I understand, a typhoon that came from wherever typhoons come from banged into a cold front that came down from Alaska. And then something else came up from the south. And it all just meshed together over western Oregon and dumped. I lasted less than a half before surrendering like the French and going to the beer garden. I still feel like my body is cold and wet. Blah blah blah...

The rain this weekend was insane. Luckily for me I left my nice leather shoe in it for 3 days after stepping in dog doo while grilling, taking it off and leaving it to take care of later.

Oh yeah, and no trip. It was the right thing. Time with my parents and my sisters, one of whom I don't see very often. Plus, I'm the only cook besides my Mom in the house and she deserves some good home cooked meals instead of whatever she would have been eating if I hadn't been around.

GM - that Colorado game next week is not going to be pretty.

No, I don't expect that it will be. Washington is the game I'm scared of the most. I'll worry about Stanford IF the Ducks get past the Huskies, and I don't know that they will. I would like to go to a game in Colorado one day. My buddy that came up for the Cal game went to Boulder a couple years ago and loved it. Said it was one of the best places he's ever been to for football. Said the gals were very hot. Imagine that.

The wife and I went to the Packers-Seahawks playoff game in Lambeau in '03? '04? Whatever. The game where Matt Hasselbeck famously said, "We'll take the ball and we're going to score," just before throwing a pick 6. Good times!

Anyway, being Green Bay and being January, it was of course something like -1 outside. And you're sitting on metal bleachers. So not only are all your appendages frozen, but the cold is actively attacking you through your ###hole, as well. Freakin' brutal. So at halftime my wife went inside and found a seat at the bar "to warm up". I left with an, "OK, I'll be out a little after kickoff." Yeah, she never came back out. I almost lost a toe, but it was completely worth it. Fun game.

Bob...how are tge beers from t hth e O'Fallon Brewing Company? I bought their Pumpkin beer but haven't tried it yet? Just the one bottle as I needed to fill out my 6pack when I saw it.

I'm sitting at a Pizzeria Uno in White Plains NY by myself at the bar, because MNF and (mediocre) deep-dish pizza sounded so damn good.

Take that, T Bell and Kristanista!

(Also, there is a Goo Goo Dolls song playing. What has become of me???)

Give the bartender a dollar for me.

I'm married with children. When I'm not contemplating sweet, sweet, death, I'm drinking whiskey or cheap beer.

1. Owning David Wilson is like drinking a case of beer and then French kissing an electric fence while dipping your #### in to a bear trap. And then peeing on the fence. And then eating the bear trap.

2. Bentley is in one of the Carolina's (does it matter which one?) getting drunk with some girl from Louisiana. Says threat level omicron is "low" but he isn't that drunk. Yet.

3. Fan duel is easy money. Not much money. But it's easy. Kind of like Michelle who I dated when I worked at Joe's Crab Shack in '99
