GM's thread about nothing (23 Viewers)

My life with the ladies is a complete #### show right now.

I showed up to a cousins after wedding party with a girl that was asked how much she charges for a night... twice.

I was getting quite a few looks.
That's because you were doing it wrong. After-wedding party=target-rich environment. You don't bring sand to the beach, bro.
Well... I think I was one of like 3 single people in the entire party. So, I thought I'd bring a sure thing. So I did. But reports getting back to people aren't flattering of me.
Why did they assume she was hired help?

Understood. But if you spend all your time worrying about what people think of you, it will severely limit the stories you have to tell in here.

She dressed like a common whore?

She didn't really say much to be honest. The party was extremely boring. Some of my cousins were, or perhaps still are, close with my ex girlfriend. I think some things got back to her that I brought a hooker.

Which to be honest, I'm not above doing, but I swear I didn't. I honestly don't care, I just thought it was funny. I enjoyed myself.

You can call me a lot of things, but a person that cares what people think is not one of them.

I can't imagine how trashy someone would have to look for me to ask if they were on the clock. Seriously.
Seems ill-advised. Kind of like asking a woman about her due date. Except I'd actually be interested in the answer.
Reaction of one of the women at the NY-NY Circle Bar: "You think I'm a prostitute!?!?!?"
That's not a bad assumption on his part, but you have to figure it out on your own. Asking is a terrible idea unless you're playing loose like GM. #frecklewipe

He didn't ask. He got somebody else to do it. And I believe they decided the best approach was something along the lines of, "So, what hotel in Vegas has the best rooms?"

And, to be fair to them, the chick who was offended was there for a pole dancing convention, so, yeah.

#frecklewipe might be my very favorite story from coshole.

Fennis... had no shot with her because (Krista) is so much better than either of us.
So like some <politically incorrect word of your choice> version of BeetleJuice you say my name and I appear a couple of weeks later.

Krista seems like a very nice woman, and no disrespect to her at all, but saying someone is too good for me doesn’t tell you much.

Remember that incredibly awesome story where at the end of the game the other team inbounded the ball to the kid so he could finally score a basket after serving four years as manager on his high school team? Maybe if you pointed out that Michael Jordan *and* that kid are better basketball players than me, we might learn something.

I complied a list of woman who I am too good for and I came up Melissa Lee Williamshttp://www.thesmokinggun.com/buster...-line-never-previously-recorded-police-report

These are generally signs someone is lying.

I'm confused.
In the movie Beetlejuice he would appear instantly if someone said his name (three times). It took me around 2 weeks to appear after my name was typed in this thread, so it was like I was a bad version of Beetlejuice. Its kinda funny, you can use it yourself if you like. No need to give me credit.

Question for the lawyers...

Do lawyers usually have each others back?

I ask because (and Thorn has helped me here) when my house went into foreclosure I hired a lawyer to help out. To make a long story short (Sort of), I met with her on July 3rd), while I was there she looked up my case and found that on the 2nd, my case was processed and that she would have to petition the court to reopen it. She charged me $775.

On July 6th, I received a letter stating that the bank had petition to stop the Liz Pendens, and let me proceed with a Loan Mod.

On Monday July 8th, I called my lawyer and told her about the letter and she was surprised but said it was good news and to email it to her. She also stated she stopped by the judges chambers that morning but found that he was on vacation the whole month of July. I emailed her the letter and asked her to advise.

She never replied and I had no contact with her after that.

In early August I was notified by the bank that my Loan Mod was approved after a lot of communication by me and the bank.

After consulting with Thorn he said I could send her a letter asking to close my case and return any unused funds with a detailed bill.

I did that and received a check for $15. All the bill states is that it was a Foreclosure case and that she charged me $10 for office supplies.

I want to consult a lawyer for his opinion on getting my money back because she did absolutely nothing for me, but I am worried if I do, that lawyer will let her know and she will get me a modified bill.

I realize for this amount it would be small claims, but that money would come in handy.

How can she justify this? The folder she sent back has no record of her doing anything and there was only two days of communication with me.

tl:dr, sorry
I would talk to the state bar association before going to another lawyer. They probably have a way to arbitrate it without small claims.
before i send her another letter, just go right to the state bar assoc.?

I was thinking before you talk to another lawyer or file a small claims action. Another letter probably couldn't hurt, but I'm guessing it will be ignored if you have been ignored so far.
