GM's thread about nothing (29 Viewers)

I almost threw a fit watching tv earlier with my parents. We started off watching Wild Hogs. And when a commercial came up, we ended up with Chet Atkins, then a bit of a sewing show, then one of those oldies cd collection commercials with a short clip from each song. I think it's time to go back home to my own remote control.

I would also throw a fit if forced to watch Wild Hogs.

Where's Charvik with my drink of the day? Something festive. Can you ever mix sparkling wine with booze?
drinking heavily! and yes, vodka, sparkling white, midori and some seven makes for a nice green sweet treat for the ladies. ETA: propbably not a good time to try to gauge how many parts of each, just mix and taste!

hppy new years!!!

i just got back from dinner with the wife, who's now sleeping through the new year, the inlaws are sleeping, my parents are sleeping and so is the baby, so life is good when up with a pitcher of margerita,,, tooooooooot!

Happy new year to all my ifriends! I have an hour to go, but some of you married folk might be asleep by then. Here's to a year full of love and laughter and a whole lot of good luck.

I don't think I'm going out tonight. Feels weird, it used to be such a big deal. But never went to bed last night and wanna be albe to watch the games tomorrow. World Tribe is playing however and it would be fun. Bubddy almost sold me just now because he already has a "reservation with AAA" for a tow truck to take us home. :lmao:

Happy New Year GM Thread!

So I just went to the bedroom, leaned over and lovingly kissed my betrothed for life, the mother of the most important person in the world to me and the woman carrying our second unborn child. And she looked up at me and said from the bottom of her heart "It's so loud outside" and then went right back to sleep.

These are the moments we live for.

So like many in this thread, I've been here since ole yeller...however once in a while I stumble across a username who I'm not familiar with. Until this thread, I hadn't ever heard of St. Louis Bob, yet he's been here since the day this board opened (assuming at ole yeller as well). No clue why, as I've been active the entire time. Wonder who else out there I'm unaware of.

really haven't heard of SLB? He's been a big-timer over the last year for sure. Cat shirt down?
Aren't you kind of proving my point?

the guy from the philadelphia eagles movie?
I think we're just too different.
:lmao:
oh, chat is used to my complete lack of knowledge about anything pop culture, like music and movies... I googled New kids on the block, but didn't realize they were still around...
They're not. That's why this was so special and gave me a boner. Hopeless.
:banned: sorry for crushing your dream (?)... i'll just pour myself another and step away from the computer

St Louis Bob started a thread back in 2004 challenging me to a sig bet over the red sox/cards world series, much to my confusion. I knew him from before that but I had never really interacted much directly with him. i remember him being a really good sport about it, though, and I started to become a fan of his work, although he was a bit of a conspiracy theorist back then. he's really turned it on the last couple years, though, and while he's been around for a while, he's the face of this generation of the FFA every bit as much as scupper, capella, :11:, tufnel, tanner, norville, woz, and so on have taken their turn leading the pack. You've been added to the FFA index, SLB. Big fan.
I'm definitely a fan....just occured to me tonight, that even though he's been active since the day this place opened...I never noticed him til this thread

Made another batch of judge smails chili today and put it in the fridge til tomorrow. Threw in 4 hot peppers and diced them up. Can't wait to destroy this stuff

And never brought to mind?

Should auld acquaintance be forgot,

And auld lang syne?

For auld lang syne, my dear,

For auld lang syne,

We'll tak a cup o' kindness yet,

For auld lang syne.

And surely ye'll be your pint-stowp,

And surely I'll be mine!

And we'll tak a cup o' kindness yet,

For auld lang syne.

We twa hae run about the braes,

And pu'd the gowans fine;

But we've wandered mony a weary fit

Sin' auld lang syne.

We twa hae paidled i' the burn,

Frae morning sun till dine;

But seas between us braid hae roared

Sin' auld lang syne.

And there's a hand, my trusty fiere,

And gie's a hand o' thine!

And we'll tak a right guid-willie waught

For auld lang syne.

For auld lang syne, my dear,

For auld lang syne,

We'll tak a cup o' kindness yet,

For auld lang syne.

I don't recognise your name, but you have a familiar face. Maybe it's just the hair..

J;ALSRQWPOIEruweO That's almost exactly what happened to me earlier. Had the tv on by myself relaxing. My wife comes to the living room from down the hall and asks me to turn down the tv while all I'm doing is watching the New Year's show and fooling around on my computer. Are we my parents now? :(
