FWIW, I've noticed that you typically want to hit big (double-digit) underdogs before Saturday. That's usually when sharp money hits, which is what happened today, with Denver getting bet down to -11 from -13, pretty much across the board.

The ATS record of teams that get 80%+ of action is horrific. Sub-40% or something. The best/easiest way for a moron like me (e.g. someone who's not capable/possesses the time to put together a complex mathematical betting formula) is to look for reverse line moves: team A receives a small percentage of total bets, but line moves in their favor. Those are typically pretty good teams to bet on, even if it means holding one's nose to do so. Take the points.

GPJ, this whole system was thanks to me thinking back to a time when I knew what people were betting. The squares, man, they stick together. It was amazing. I had a sample of 71, now it's down to 20.

My cousin just started taking the top 5 with the book every week the last couple of years. He's won but I think that's too many. I would be more interested in just banging the top two. I think I'll do that next year.
