GM's thread about nothing (25 Viewers)

G-Marco or any other people that may or may not be a doctor, I have a question.

There is this spot on the upper middle side of my back, just right of my spine that has been killing me for weeks now. It's about the size of a quarter I guess where it hurts. Thoughts? I finally took a Vicodin last night and it didn't help at all.

MRSA

P.S. Hi this thread.
Hey GB!

There aren't any physical signs on the skin.

That's almost what it feels like.
I know exactly what it is (actually true)

"Reason to call the doctor."

puled one the small mid-back muscles? Is it a stabbing pain?

With a lot of discipline, no sight-seeing, trading off driving duties, and a liberal right foot, you could make that in 3 days.
Oh, I have a liberal right foot, if you know what I mean? ;) *

* I don't know what this means either.

ANNOUNCE: I am more than halfway through Season 3 of Breaking Bad, and while I've found this season a bit slow so far, I have concluded that Hank, whether you like him or not, is a fantastically written character.
:lmao:

and

:thumbup;

There's been a lot written about how Hank was originally just going to be a pretty 2-dimensional character. Basically just a stupid jock/cop. His development throughout the series is pretty swell.

Kemmerer, WY is a pretty desolate place GM. Ft. Bridger is slightly worse IMO.
I had relatives that lived in Ft Bridger for about a year. Keep in mind these were country/farm type people. They'd lived in Bakersfield, Madera, and Kerman (the last two make Bakersfield look like NYC). They claimed Ft. Bridger was the worst place ever.

More of a throbbing pain I guess. It's just isolated to such a small spot. Usually if you pull a muscle it hurts all over the freaking place.

Sounds like a pinched nerve if painkillers didn't help

Job - help requested

I had a phone-screen interview for a job with an internet company. The role was for "manager" and about five minutes in the recruiter (who actually works for the company, not a third party) said I was more qualified for the "senior manager" role. It went well enough that I have a Skype call with the VP of Sales this afternoon. I am very interested as the company is solid/interesting and the compensation is 3x as much money as I've ever made in a year

What is the dress code protocol for a video interview?

Same as for an in-person interview.

Dress shirt, tie, and shorts would be good shtick.

Thanks. Lucky Sweater Vest* or no? It is in the 40's here and he's calling from NYC.

*Lucky = Was with me when I got myself in to near financial ruin and nearly lost my family BUT also during Coshole '13 so it kind of works out.

One of my best friend's father passed away last night. A great great guy, extremely kind and generous. I think I may have spent more of my teenage years in their house than in my own house. They were very much like the Cunninghams on Happy Days, so much so that we used to joke that me and my other GB that would always go over to the house were "Ralph and Potsie" (though my boyish young looks reminded everyone of a young Chachi) My other GB and I would go over to their house when our buddy that lived there wasn't home and we'd play Pitch with his parents all night. We started our Fantasy Football League back in '94 and he had been in the league every single year, even these last few years when his health was bad. God, I loved talking football with him.

One of favorite memories of him was after our high school graduation, I was standing in his kitchen telling how much I loved the chicken wings his wife made and he put his arm around my shoulder and said: "Michael, if you want to have a happy life, find a woman who is good the kitchen and good in the bedroom" and then he looked across the room, pointed to his wife and when she looked at him, he blew her a kiss and then winked me and poured me a shot of Jack Daniels.

If or when you take a drink tonight, raise your glass to Jacko. A great father, husband, grandfather and friend.
Nice tribute.

a pull in a small muscle like the infraspinatus (mid upper back area) will have the feeling of getting stabbed in a very localized area. If it's throbbing though, I would agree that is probably not your case though.

The search function is gone, so I thought I'd ask here: Are there any quality 55" smart TVs out there for under $1000? Or will I be disappointed using anything at that price range? I was looking at this one and I would purchase likely at a Best Buy in Delaware (if in stock) so would avoid sales tax. Has anybody been in the market for a mid-level smart TV of late?
I saw a 65" LED with wifi for ~$850 at Wal Mart over the weekend. If not for being broke I would have bought one.
What if I want to set a cap on a TV at $500? Doable? I don't care if it's smart or not. I'm not.

I like DSP.
I've pretty much confirmed what I IMed you yesterday. As much as I can, anyway. I see he's denying it though.
Kid's got moxie.

Also, I think Abe was legitimately ####y in trying to run him off. I don't post in this thread hoping that it stays the same 15 people week in and week out. Quite the contrary.

To conclude, Abe, eat a ####. And Poison still sucks. :clyde:
I don't know, DSP is pretty shticky. Maybe he should lighten up on the "I'm an adult and none of you can handle my maturity" stuff?

Did you get your Motley Crue tickets yet? Final tour and whatnot...

Dress the same way you would in an in-person interview.

Good luck.
