GM's thread about nothing (80 Viewers)

This winter will not ####### end. 6+" of snow forecast for tonight/tomorrow. Mexico trip is still a long 3 weeks away.

So, Mata has mentioned a few times that one of her fantasies is to sexy up with another woman. Being the kindhearted & considerate guy I am, I have offered to help with this. However, I'm not sure how to pull it together. She wants me involved in any fun that happens ("otherwise, I'd feel like I was cheating"), but I'm a little wary. I've been involved in 2 different threesomes. One was with 2 chicks I met at a business conference - that was ok, although a drunken mess. The other (another alcohol-fueled event) was with my first wife and her best friend - that one had long-lasting ramifications and played a part in the marriage ending. So, I may be better off as a spectator or a non-attendee - we'll see on that part.

In talking with Mata about it, she asked if I had any friends who might be game. Besides the fact that the women I know who are bi are in committed relationships, I think that could be walking a minefield for many reasons (whether I'm involved or not). I know she has one friend that she kind of crushes on, but that's even more close to home and could be awkward for them. So, I was thinking escort service, though that's colder and less organic. But I have no idea how to go about it. I've never used an escort service.

Any advice (besides "don't do it")?

Beautiful day yesterday so I fired up the BGE for Dylan's birthday. He wanted steak, biscuits and cinnamon toast for his birthday dinner. I had ribeyes in the fridge all week and they were aged beautifully. I gave Shredder the best one, thing was falling apart it was so tender. He took a bite and with a big smile on his face exclaimed "man, I don't need ketchup for this!!“.

Sometimes being a parent is cool.

Another question. Am I the only person who doesn't care about that Malaysian plane going all Bermuda Triangle?
I was going to go back in and mention I was being sarcastic about how the Oceans are littered with desolate islands with abandoned tank farms, but whatever.

I thought the guys responding to your post like it was sincere was pretty funny. :whoosh:

Showed my wife that youtube on fire thing. Frozen is now being viewed for the fourth time this weekend.
Explain this to me like I'm GM explaining Netflix to shuke.
Go to youtubeonfire.com. That's it. Those are all the instructions.
NCAA hoops nerds: What are the odds of Cal Poly actually winning a game in tourney?
Excluding a First Four game, I'd say less than 0.1%.
If they play Villanova in round 1 I'd say about 10%.

ool

If they get a #1 seed then I don't know what.

I've power watched the first season of The Americans this weekend. Can't decide whether to keep going with Season 2 or not. Funny how really, really good TV (True Detective, Breaking Bad, etc.) can kind of ruin some other TV.

Also, BabyYSR and I are going to Augusta, GA to see Romo this coming weekend. His birthday was Wednesday so I'd like to take him somewhere decent for dinner one night. Yelp and Urbanspoon have done nothing but let me know that Augusta really doesn't have a ton to offer in the way of good food. Not really sure what all these fancy golfers do when they are in town.

Not someone you know. As an attorney, I would NEVER suggest that you hire an escort. Someone else might, though.
Take it to the lawyer thread!
The lawyer thread is for lawyer talk. This is hooker talk.

isn't mata married? :lmao: gl with the whole 3some thing. should #### up the relationship nice and good. don't you like like her? so much so that you were turning down booty calls from chicks that you really wanted to bone?*

*my notebook sucks
Mata is married. I'm not trying to force anything she doesn't want and have - sheepishly, I may add - declined to be a part of these shenanigans. SHE is the one wanting me to be a participant so it doesn't feel like cheating. I can dig that this has trainwreck written all over it. #### it -
i'm so confused by everything except this

I thought I'd be dead by now, so I'm not turning down a lady wanting to get her rocks off with another.

How far is Augusta from...anywhere with good food? Could you get out?

He's going to be surprised to hear you're pregnant again.

Have a safe trip GB. ;)

If you're doing your taxes and think they're a pain, just remember that in 2013 you could have lived in two states and two countries, worked at three different jobs, owned two rental properties in a foreign country, sold one such rental property during the year and lived for a time in the other, sold your primary residence, sold a bunch of investments, and given away most of your personal property to charity.

Of course, the above is purely hypothetical as no one would be stupid enough to do that.

It's like you were intentionally trying to #### with your accountant. "Hey Ira (his name's Ira) Hey Ira, this is K4. We just bought an Ecuadorian sweatshop and will be claiming the child laborers as dependents. Also, I forgot to tell you I worked for a railroad for 20 years and will need to amend all of those returns."

:lmao: The railroad work was a particularly nice touch.

It's better than all that, though. I'm doing my taxes myself. :controlfreak:

I wasn't paying close attention as I'm mired in tax hell, but did I hear we could have a second-round matchup between Our Ducks and Our Badgers?

Isn't this bad idea jeans under the circumstances?

Test drove the Mazda6 GT and the Kia Optima Turbo Limited today.

Starting to lean towards the Optima. Not only does the interior have about a hundred more features than the Mazda6, it feels nicer. The Mazda felt pretty bare bones for a top line trim and didn't offer anything excited. Comparatively, the seats in the Optima are better, the infotainment screen is nice and big and is canted towards the driver plus you get the heated/cooled seats, heated steering wheel etc.

The Mazda did drive nice but you have to put it into Sport mode, otherwise the zip was lacking and you don't forget you are only driving a 4 cylinder. Steering was the one area it completely beat the Optima which felt heavy on the back end. The Optima is also only 4 cylinder but with the supercharged engine you get a much throatier, push back in your seat acceleration. As I said, the steering felt a little heavy on the back end compared to the Mazda, which was a bit of a distraction.

All in all the Mazda is about 3k cheaper and feels every penny of that on the interior plus some. Still need to do some more test driving including the G37 and a used A5 and TL, but the Optima is leading the race once you factor in the price point, non-premium gas for 280 hp, loaded interior and 10 year warranty.

Meh, I think it's OK. I'm ridiculous about record-keeping, so all the info is there but it's just so ####### tedious to put together. The only part I am slightly concerned about is the Georgia state return given a complicated situation regarding which days I worked there, so if it doesn't seem clear from TurboTax I might have to reach out. Otherwise, it's just time-consuming tedium but not rocket science.

I expect to get a very large refund, so there's a red flag that could come up there. I'm really confident in my record-keeping, though.
