there were no exploding helicopters here before the kristas
It's all going downhill! Get out while you still can!
Seattle thoughts so far (in a lawyer-approved numbered list):
1. We're loving the restaurants. By the way, if you're working anywhere near Pioneer Square or you are ever near there at lunchtime, and you haven't yet had Il Corvo, you are missing out.
2. We're loving the topography. Hiking in the mornings when we can drag ourselves out, and enjoying the amazing beauty. This weekend I hope to get somewhere for really good stuff--so far we've just been taking the 10-minute drive to Discovery Park.
3. People are much nicer than advertised, though there is some Seattle hipster coolness that can be annoying.
4. ####### ####### LAW AGAINST PLASTIC BAGS. Why didn't anyone tell me about this?
5. Really slow drivers here.
6. We both sort of wish we'd gone to West Seattle or Columbia City, as Ballard is too young, crowded, etc. Reminds me of what Bucktown in Chicago is like now. Think we could feel a bit too detached from the action in West Seattle or CC, though. Will take the next year to figure it out.
