GM's thread about nothing (7 Viewers)

Hi"!

Still drinking.....

Got into a sweet "fight " with the dumb bitc h that lives more or less across the street.

Me and lady raiders's friends had put up some chairs at the end of the driveway to get our neighborly drink on in honor of ny wife's bday.

The woooore from across the street comes hauling ###, going at least 30 mph, my drunk ### happened to be walking down the drive way, so I decided to keep walking into the street and forced her speeding ### to stop. I then asked her to please slow down.

This DID NOT GO OVER WELL AT ALL

Dumb bi tch starts to argue with me that I was in the street and that we shouldn't have the chairs at the end of the driveway either.......I look at her and simply say, "Shelby, you were driving too fast, go home" this degenerated into her yelling, crying, begging me to accept her apology, screaming at me that I was wrong, back to begging me to accept her apology.

But then, the best part, my DRUNK ### wife, who NEVER, EVER, says anything controversial EVER. Walks up on this bi tch and proclaims, "were you speeding". " WERE YOU SPEEDING??". SHELBY, WERE YOU SPEEDING??!!! SHRLBY, GO HOME, GO HOME!!! At this point, I'm sporting wood at this aggressive version of my wife, and am reiterating the go home bit ,with a cawktastic bowing motion accompanied by a #### weed arm wave in the direction of her house.

Krista, will you take the the baton of my inner tube tardness and give me your # and post the girls pic, right before Shelby came home. .??

WTF is 'oil pulling'? My wife is swishing coconut oil for like 10 minutes and said its good for you. Frosty, can you ask frostywife about this?

Watched "Short Circuit" with Little Zooks yesterday. I always liked Steve Gutenberg. I feel like if he had a better hair cut his career would've taken off.

Been doing more test driving - no decisions made.

The rundown:

Mazda 6 GT - Good looking, nice interior for a standard midsize, if a little spartan. Drives nice but ultimately underpowered. If they hadn't pushed it back twice and seem to be struggling with it, I'd be very tempted to wait for the turbo diesel they want to release in NA.

Kia Optima SXL - Part of Kia's attempt to break into upscale, this is actually a pretty nice car. The interior was the nicest of any of the standard midsized cars I drove and it's a decent looking car. I can't get over the fact that $33k is a lot of money for a Kia and that i felt a little like I was driving a modded up Civic.

Ford Fusion Hybrid Ti - Great mpg, decent look but still a Ford and drives like a Ford. I might as well have been driving a modern version of my parents 1986 Ford Taurus.

Infiniti G37x - Good times, Priced well (same as the Optima amazingly) since they aren't doing a 2014 and may never return to the G series. Body style, while classic, is a little outdated. Probably the top of my list for a purchase.

Lexus IS350 F sport AWD - Also, good times. This car is a lot of fun to drive and has a great techy interior. Not in love with the giant spindle grille but don't hate it as much as most. I'd be a little afraid of my mpg in this one because who wants to drive around in eco mode all the time? Probably the most likely car in the lease category to possibly provide a value for purchase against the disposition at the end of the lease.

Cadillac ATS V6 AWD - Another car that's a lot of fun to drive and this one supposedly can take lower octane fuel which is a bonus. Nice on the inside as you would expect from a cadillac. Didn't really like the sale people and hate the marketing for this car which shouldn't affect me but does. Also, while I think the profile of the car is great, that Cadillac nose has never done it for me.

Infiniti Q50s hybrid AWD - Have not driven it yet but I'm thinking this car offers me everything I want - Performance, looks, techy interior, hybrid mpg. It's gotten knocked around pretty badly for it's "drive by wire" steering but ultimately that feels like a car magazine complaint and not a real consumer complaint. Likely taking a drive in this one in the next few days. Should have driven it when I drove the G37x but at the time I was firmly in purchase mode and have since migrated to a willingness to lease to get everything I want.

Audi A5 - Haven't sold my wife on signing off on a couple so this one is on the fringe.

A headline from the local newspaper website read "Pregnant woman dead in strip club". Oh hell yes, I'm reading that.

http://www.chron.com/news/houston-texas/houston/article/Area-and-state-briefs-Pregnant-woman-dead-in-5343008.php#comments

Turns out the place was robbed and she got whacked over the head with something heavy and died. Not nearly as funny as I was hoping.

Then the next story on the blotter is:

Murder charge results after man reports wife dead

A 63-year-old Harris County man was charged with murder in the death of his wife.

Martin Ebegbodi went to a neighbor's house and asked him to call police after getting into a fight and then shooting his wife, 36-year-old Isioma Ebegbodi, officials said.

She was shot about 3 a.m. Saturday at the house in the 19700 block of Youpon Leaf Way.
I would say "good job pulling a broad half your age" to the guy pushing retirement age but evidently it's not all it's cracked up to be.

Drifter, if you're looking in the low $30s, I drive a 2011 Maxima the I really, really like. Fully loaded I think it was right at $33k. Great interior, styling and solid performance. Biggest downside if fuel economy is a major concern is that it requires premium fuel. I've averaged 21.4 MPG with a ton of city driving. But based on the cars on your list, it might be worth a test drive.

It's just so damn big. I think the midsized cars feel big. A full sized is going to be gigantic and in Seattle that's not a great thing. I drive a "midsize" truck now but I've been driving it for 9 years so know I can squeeze it into tight spots. Still, that's some of my motivation in getting something new. The minivan is the main kid mover/road tripper in the house so I'm looking a little smaller.
