I bet Maria knew.Ugh, yeah, that jingle is awful.
Apparently the second senator in Washington (I could only name Patty Murray) is called Maria Cantrell, and she has been a senator since 2000. Who knew?
Hold a victory parade, with you being pushed along at the head of the parade in your office chair, waving.I'm being lauded as a genius at work today for something I did months ago. How do I take advantage of this, assuming that the way I take advantage can't involve getting more money or time out of the office?
It just seems a little douchey to hold your own victory parade. Maybe if I drop some hints, someone else will hold it.Hold a victory parade, with you being pushed along at the head of the parade in your office chair, waving.I'm being lauded as a genius at work today for something I did months ago. That sounds...Got Shanghaied into going to India next month. Average high temperature that time of year? 101 degrees. At least it's a humid, middle of the sub continent, surrounded by billions of unwashed poverty heat, right?

Well, on the bright side, the IPL starts next month and is the premier professional 20/20 cricket league. Unfortunately Sachin Tendulkar has retired, but if you get a chance to check out Mumbai Indians or Chennai Super Kings, I would definitely recommend doing so.Got Shanghaied into going to India next month. Yeah, I've used them all and think they're all about the same. Each of them has some areas that can be confusing and each has areas that I feel aren't comprehensive enough. But all of them were not that hard to ultimately figure out.Yeah, I figured no one was responding because people tend to use the same one from year to year and haven't tried the others. Possible false alarm. Turns out they're auditing only certain people. Some of my coworkers (that were chosen as part of the audit) assumed everybody has to provide all of this info. A couple of people even sent out mass emails reminding everyone to get their stuff faxed in. Now I find out it was just a select few.You should start tracking all those people down immediately. What happens when you mix an insurance company, a state agency, and education?
A totally F-ed up monster of a health plan that I belong to. I have until Monday to provide them with info on the people (wife and kids) on my plan. Supposedly they sent everyone a notice to do this stuff months ago. Everyone except for me. $20 says they sent the notices to an address I lived at 10 years ago. It's happened before.

Nah, a 20/20 is just 20 innings per side and normally runs about 3 hours or so. Also, they start some games very very late in the evenings to avoid the head of midday, so games sometimes don't start until 10 - 11 p.m.This is assuming that you have 4-5 days to burn.Well, on the bright side, the IPL starts next month and is the premier professional 20/20 cricket league. I did my taxes with TaxAct and didn't pay for the archiving, so I'm sure there's an easy-as-Netflix way to opt out. I just save all my PDFs when I'm done each year.

.Yesterday we were eating dinner at the counter, and I asked my 4 yo a question, something about school I think. She responded with perfect timing with a fart that looked something like this, similar to EG72's brother (?):I came home from work a little early today so I could take a walk with the boys and Mrs. SLB as a family before with get stormed on. Of course yesterday I worked out of the house all day and didn't even take a shower. Anyway, I take of my clothes and walk to the dresser to put some sweats on. I hear the boys playing in the backyard which makes me smile. So I peer out the window to see Dylan right there taking a wizz, trying to get the biggest arc as possible, with a big smile on his face. After I stopped laughing, I tap on the window but he was done already and literally does this.

It sounded like a truck downshifting on a freeway. My wife just gets up and leaves the room to crack up. I think it was a serious question, but at that point it didn't matter.
Also, she's now wavering between the Cuban kid she went to daycare with and a kid who might throw trash at me some day at her new pre-k. He also invented something called "the huggy", where he just pulls his pants down and walks around in his underwear. The wedding should be a blast.
