GM's thread about nothing (13 Viewers)

I've never heard that Happy song by Pharrell.

Is this a good thing or a bad thing?
Weird. I just said to Mr. krista today that I suspected we were the only two people on Earth who couldn't recognize that song (assuming, correctly, that he couldn't either).
I don't understand how this is possible.
 I don't know where I would have heard it, though I have heard of it. Same thing happened with Britney Spears (don't think I've ever heard a song), Rihanna's "Umbrella", bunch of other stuff. Did hear that Robin Thicke song late last year once which is when I first heard of feh-REL.

Oh and that Frozen song.

re: Rude invading France

I just remembered that back in the 6th grade we were assigned a project to make food native to another country. BFF & me made French toast and French fries.

What a couple of idiots. :lmao:
Sorry your mom blew up, Ricky.
SLB definitely put his testiclees all over her.
I was trying to do this to Mrs. SLB but she's all "I've been up since 4 o'clock this morning and worked 10 hours today!!". Oh boo freaking hoo. Plus I think I may be really close to tearing my Achilles...it hurts really bad and is very swollen.. :oldunsure:
That's gout, bro.
doubt it.

I need to be up at like 4:45am for this Disneyland trip. So I'm going have about 6 uber-gravity beers so I'll fall asleep early.

Trust me...I'm a professional.
I will pray for you tomorrow. Sounds like hell. Lemme know if you're allowed to booze or want to risk your job drinking at the park. I know every possible place to get a drink.

:goodposting: I iced it 20/20 and kept it elevated for a couple hours and it helped a lot. Plus it only hurts when I walk.

Thanks for the good thoughts, everyone. Knowing that Bob is willing to be there for the birth and Homer is willing to take over as manny/wet nurse afterwards has really helped set my mind at ease.

sorry to hear about any of you that are sober. I'm drunk for you, though, cause I'm a team player.

going to some lake 5 hours away to go camping/boating/tubing/fishing with a bunch of people I don't know that well, but seem pretty fun. my daughter hates all their kids though, so she's turned her opposition defiant disorder up to 11.

when I was a kid, I would have been pretty excited about camping and fishing with my old man, and there's no way he would have sprung for a ski boat. damn, kids suck.

Cal just freaked me the #### out. I didn't hear him walk downstairs but heard him walking around the kitchen. The dog heard him too and instead of jumping up to investigate with me,the coward seemed to think he was best suited to act extremely concerned about the noises but remain in bed guarding the only va gina in the house.

I'm wide awake now. ####.
:lmao:

- Found out we need a new a/c system yesterday.

- Wife is flipping out because we may need to go without air for about 3-4 weeks.

- Going to miss part of my son's kindergarden graduation(I know) because I am buried at work.

- Just found out that my ####ing ###hole co-worker left a huge project untouched for me to deal with while he is on vacation all next week.

- Probably going to have to work Monday just to stay caught up.

- Stressed the #### out from almost getting into a fistfight with a coach for the team that my daughter's 7-8 year old softball team played last night because he thought it was appropriate to scream at my daughter(who is playing in her 4th softball game EVER) because she was standing on 3rd base and making it hard for his baserunner to round the base and head home for her second home run of the game(while up 14-4).

I need a mother ####ing drink.

- Oh wait, I'm on call this weekend. No alcohol for me. :wall:

All things considered, you should be glad that you had the restraint to "almost" get in a fistfight instead of actually getting in to one.

Oh and drinking a bunch of beer last night might not have been a smart move. I mean I slept well and I'm not hungover but I've been FARTING all morning. Not sure how well this is going to go over on the 3 hour bus ride. I guess I'm just going to have to do a lot of "back of the bus" checks so I can cropdust up and down the aisle. Make it fun for everyone.

I'm horribly sober. :(
Sorry man. That sucks.
Right? YSR, you think you have problems.

I've never heard that Happy song by Pharrell.

I go with feh-REL, not because I know, but because there used to be a sports radio guy with that name.
Scotty! I actually hung out with him. OK, not him but his good buddy John Renshaw.

So you guys are riding on a bus for 6 hours today? Like a school bus? Id need a blow job from Snow White to make that worthwhile.

I hate that song like Frosty hates getting his head rubbed. I just loathe it and get angry thinking about it.

And I don't know how to say his name either. Is like Will Ferrell? And if it isn't, does it rhyme with Ferrell?

This sounds like fun. Can we all come? With every fiber of my being, I believe that YSR-HOLE will be epic!

Um, given the circumstances, maybe we could call it something else?

Or just keep doing it next to the same kid. Everyone around him will hate him by the end of the trip.

:lmao: Oops, I meant to say "YSRBABY-HOLE"

Actually, that kinda sounds awkward too. You can come up with the name.

Man, I thought I was having a really tough go of it over here. Super stressed out, the project manager who handles a good bulk of my workload went out on maternity a few weeks ago, the owner of my company is off gallivanting in Europe for a few weeks, so I've had about quadrupole the workload of normal....but YSR's post was about the saddest thing I've read in here in a long while so I think I get off easy.

well, back to work, see you guys in a few days.

What do you do for a living GB? Hang in there.

I saw this post before I saw Tanner's post about his bus trip. Is it weird that I just assumed the blow job from Snow White was a dig at GM?

22 days without alcohol and one week without dog Xanax. The anxiety is dissipating and I feel like myself again. Still a neurotic mess, but you know, better than before.

My job has never been better. Work with a great team..love the 4 weeks of vacation per year. Got a massive bonus this past Feb that has me pretty much searching for some uses of extra funds. Have a really nice condo that is paid for. Go to Vegas once a quarter. Getting in to triathlons last year has me feeling more fit than ever before.

No gf or wife but a steady diet of FWBs and always someone around to have a drink or hang out with. Coaching a select kids soccer team is awesome..does make me long for kids of my own at times but it does help that my niece is my world.. I take lots of time off to be with her and help my bro and SIL.

This weekend calls for lots of boozing and pool time, with some sleeping in and NBA playoffs sprinkled in. Be safe out there.

I can deliver the baby too if you want to save a couple of bucks. I've seen City Slickers like half a dozen times so I know what I'm doing.

T&P's GB. :(

Actually none of that is remotely true. Just thought maybe the thread needed an anti-GMTAN post after reading the past couple pages.

Water/Sewer Line Inspector.

Serious question: about a month ago the water pressure in my house decreased by about 70%. If someone flushes a toilet while the sink is on, the sink will stop completely. If the washing machine is on? Forget about getting water any other way. Our area is on water rations and in a severe drought. Would the utility folks scale back the pressure on their end? I haven't seen any pooling to indicate I have a leak anywhere.

They could. Another possibility would be that they did a repair or other work in the area, had a valve shut down and forgot to open it. It's happened to us before. Just watch your next bill. You may not see water pooling, but if your bill jumps up, there is a problem somewhere.
