GM's thread about nothing (21 Viewers)

eating at a strip club always seemed wrong to me. I'm no germophobe, but combining food with what goes on there seems a bit disconcerting.
unless you can find a decent lunch buffett
even worse. who knows how long that food has been sitting out there.
You should see the salad bar at the Acropolis...it sits undisturbed in the middle of this strip club, surrounded by meat eating boob fans who put green stuff in their body only when it's St. Patricks day and mixed heavily with beer. I bet the raddish tray is the same one from 1983.

How about you let us vote on it, Mubarak.
:goodposting: Good one.You assume there is some structure to this league. We don't even have a commissioner. If you want to commish the league and organize rule change votes and stuff go for it.
Fine, if i have to do everything, I will.
Set up us the vote. Also, an explanation of why more is better would be a good education for me, unless the reason is "I'm not doing well with the current rules".

I see cake leege hasn't really evolved shuke hasn't really changed since 'aught 5.

Tonight heading in an epic direction.

PS: Burgerville >>>> In/Out

Signed,

born and raised in So. Cal
There's an In N Out literally 200 yards from my house. I think I've been there 3 times in 7 years. Once was to try it out. The second time was to make sure I didn't miss something the first time. The last time was to grab a soda since I was walking by. The place is one giant monument to mediocrity. It's like the Taj Meh-hal. There is a huge line of cars in the drive-thru all day long. I really don't get it.
Okay, I kinda like this. Yours?
Yes.

I'd drink a boatload of free PBR
Clarification. We get TWO free, then they start charging. But they also have Fat Tire on tap, which I'm not a huge fan of, but will probably go for after I choke down my PBR.
Roller derby is fun. I got hammered last time I went.$20 for a pizza and a pitcher of beer at Horney Goat Brewery, bus ride to the match(?), tickets, and 2 free Millers there.I ended up spending $80 I think :bag:

I think pitchers are underweight with the current innings cap and with 14 teams (I think?) I believe it is important to try and balance out the pitchers with the hitters. If you ask Tre or Judd or any long term 'members', they might agree that a wealth of good starting pitchers isn't much of an advantage in this league and I believe it should be. It effects trade value. All things being equal, a stud SP should fetch fair value, but most trade offers I've been involved with that included pitchers come with a boiler plate memo "Starting pitchers aren't valuable in this format".That's my contention. And I think increasing to 1450 from 1250 would help balance us out without totally overhauling our league rules.

Was the second sentence of this post really necessary?

It was important for context

:coffee: Was going to say something similar.Pretty sure anything Northern SLB says can be followed by "I got hammered last time...".

Stu - you on OK terms with your ex-wife? Just remembered my dip#### sister pulled that stunt the first year of her divorce. The accountants/lawyers all said she should amend and he should wait until the fall and amend his...yada yada yada. And they kind of laughed it off and eff that, you people are idiots, they figured out the difference, and she wrote him a check.
Yes, but $ wise it makes more sense to fix it.Her return was about $1500 more than it should have been. Filing mine without the kid would cost me about $3700. She doesn't have that kind of money sitting around.

Start with the Fat Tire then, since you like it better, and then when you think you only have enough sobriety/coordination left for two more beers, then hit 'em up for the PBR and you'll be too drunk to taste it anyway.

I've been having a lot of dreams about having sex with women that aren't my wife lately. This is unusual. Please give me your analysis Dr. Freud. :popcorn:TIA,Trent
First off Trent, please lay down on my couch. That's a lovely cat shirt you're wearing.About these dreams you're having. The "sex" symbolizes the Super Bowl. Back in 2000 you won the Super Bowl and most people feel that you won it due to your team's defense and strong run game. Some people feel your team won that Super Bowl in spite of you. In this dream you're having, your wife symbolizes that defense and strong run game. This time of year, there is always a lot of debate about who the greatest QB's are of all time. People will say that someone like Brady or Montana are the best because they won multiple Super Bowls. The counter arguement to that theory is always "well Trent Dilfer won a Super Bowl, does that mean he's better than Dan Marino"? And I know when you hear that, it hurts you in that place right behind the beautiful cat on your shirt (your heart). It's always "Trent Dilfer" that gets referenced, not Jim McMahon, not Doug Williams. It's as if winning the SuperBowl isn't a big accomplishment for a QB because "even Trent Dilfer won one". That's gotta sting. Now back to the dream. In the dreams you're having sex (winning the SuperBowl) with other women. The "other women" symbolize other teams that aren't stacked with a great defense and a strong running game which is what your wife symbolizes. (notice I used the word "stacked" in that description  ) You having sex with strange women is your way of showing the world that Trent Dilfer is not a one trick pony. You have nothing to be ashamed of. These dreams are not unusual and in fact it should be common for you to be having these dreams around this time of year (Super Bowl week) Don't let it get to you. You can't change the way other people think, you can only change the way YOU think. Michael Jackson didn't sing about changing other people, he sang about changing "The Man in The Mirror". Listen to Michael Jackson. Be Michael Jackson. You have alot going for you: you're on SportsCenter, you're bald, you got that sweet cat shirt..... I could go on, but I can't really think of anything else. Now before you get off the couch, I want you to take a deep breath and give yourself a pat on the back. Then put your pants back on and go home to your beautiful wife, you know, the one with the stacked defense and supple running game, and you go for the endzone!!! Good luck!
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:I think you are spot on.

Doesn't less innings make stud pitchers more valuable?

watch.bnn.ca has lots of videos of the news from today. There's even a segment on commodities, which is probably what GM wants.
Well, was hoping to get the live feed from BNN featuring a segment with the CEO of NEO Materials (Sacamano, St. Louis Bob - HI)....I am thinking it will be available shortly as there is a slight delay. I can't find the live feed without subscribing, but I suck at the innernets.
:lmao:
Worth watching....worth owning.
Thanks GB, I got my eye one it.

Not sure where else to put this:

Some people are even unwilling to admit that a jumbo jet could not be made by a hurricane in a junk yard. I'm serious.
What does that even mean?
I think he means that if a hurricane went through a junk yard, it could accidentally lead to the creation of a jumbo jet. or something.
Pretty sure this is how Delta got their fleet

I see cake leege hasn't really evolved shuke hasn't really changed since 'aught 5.
Guy doesn't know how to draft for hitting categories so blames the innings limit.
Pretty sure we have the same number of Cake championships under our bloated belts, big guy.
I guess that's part of what I don't get. You've won this league before, so you know how to win in this format.
I don't really care if the innings change or not. The rules are what they are, and you adapt. My only gripe was about free agent claims since it rewards people for pouncing on news.

And that's kind of my point...I don't want an unusual format in which we have to remember that starting pitching isn't nearly as important as hitting categories. I want them to be more balanced and an increase in innings will help in that regard.

Can someone explain what the big deal is with this? The "most illegal wrestling move" thing? There's a thread about it and several people have posted it on FB.

I think I'm missing out on something. Why is this funny? This is not shtick. I honestly don't get it.
Of all the ridiculous things you've seen in pro wrestling, this isn't the best? Maybe you missed the part where the guy hypnotized the opponents and got them to dance.

I believe 1250 innings is pretty standard.

Is 1250 "unusual"? I think it's Yahoo's default for free leagues.

The baseball "god" has spoken.Oh well, looks like GM is going to miss out on the inaugural Mellyhole baseball draft.

Fine. Have fun arguing with cosjobs over items on fast food menus.

Not if you have a surplus.
You really think we have a surplus of stud pitchers with 14 teams x 1250 innings?I know I've ended up with a mediocre starting staff before, and I had to put in a lot of time researching each day on who stream for the coming few days in order to save my ERA and WHIP categories while I tried to make up ground in wins.
