I think I have the fastest digestive system in the world. Yesterday I had a bigass bowl of cereal at like 4pm and was saying goodbye to it at 8. (I know because it was Crunch Berries and my deuce was bright green--festive!)

with that being said, I was thinking last night and, is there a way for a country, government entity, single person, to turn off the internet? I mean, like a light switch and poof it's off for everyone? And if someone, something has that power, would that pretty much throw the entire earth into chaos just about instantly?

Another woman just couldn't grasp the idea of "burden of proof". The defense attorney explained it to her about 3 different ways yet she still stated that she thought it was up to him to prove his client's innocence. And this wasn't some sort of act to get out of jury duty. This broad was dumb.

Lawyer: So let's say that somebody you work with started a very bad rumor about you. Do you think that it should be up to you to prove that it wasn't true?

Potential Juror 2: No, because that isn't fair.

Lawyer: Ahhh...so you see the same thing applies to my client. We shouldn't have to prove anything. The DA's must prove their case.

Potential Juror 2: But this is different. A trial like this is very serious...not just a rumor. You should have to prove he didn't do it.

I know I'm just snarky one-liner guy, and I'm a little late to the party, but as a long time anti-Furlean (Furlite?) and being that I'm a bit grumpy that I'm stuck at work at 8 am on a Saturday, I would like to address the issues he raised. First of all, Krista does get plenty of guff around here. She gets teased incessantly about all of the moving and house buying and selling. Don't know how you've missed all that. Not to mention, there was a several page meme some time ago dedicated to the enormity of her lady cave.

Secondly, she has shown an unending amount of kindness, generosity, and support for many people here, unlike the idiotic turd-slingers around here like you and me. And guess what, people tend to respond in positive ways to those attributes. Again, shocking I know.

And of course, as she already addressed, you clearly have some type of inferiority complex toward her. Is it just the money? The fact that a woman is so much more successful than you? Maybe you wish you had found yourself such a successful, independent woman? It's ok to admit it. I personally don't care how well off random internet people are, and as someone whose wife makes a fair amount more than he does, it certainly doesn't bother me to see a successful woman. Maybe turn some of that focus inward and you won't be so miserable. I know that has helped me quite a bit recently.

yet day after day after day we get "zomg, i'm flying to San Francisco before we go to Portland for vacation and then on to Vancouver to look at a 3rd home for our 4th butler and his Kenyan family that we paid to fly in from Uzbekistan! the whole thing cost less than the home Frosty just bought but i'm not really saving for anything after our 3 weeks in Australia and 2 weeks in Malaysia before we visit my parents in Iceland, so no big deal!" consistent look at me posting

look, we get it, there are people here with money. there are people here who travel a lot. there are people who have multiple homes. only they aren't using every other post to tell us all about it.

we're all very happy that she's loaded and travels but... come on.. enough already. just go a single day without telling us about where you're traveling, how much you're spending, etc.

I've seen people here get genuinely resentful when someone happens to make a lot of money, and inevitably the accusation is "look at me". No, that person is merely sharing what's happening in their life, same as anyone else. It's pathetic and IMO indicative that you're just miserable in general if it bothers you that much. Also if you're that miserable and envious, it would blow your mind to learn that money alone wouldn't help and you'd still be really miserable.

none of that actually. i know people want to paint me as a misogynist but i've had my fair share of iScuffles around here and they've all been with men (not counting e-mom.. still not sure she's actually a woman). in fact i jumped in to the k4/imp donnybrook of aught 8 with both feet on krista's side

i'm about as indifferent about economic status as one can get. have got friends all across the spectrum. just not afraid to speak my mind.
