GM's thread about nothing (34 Viewers)

Need a skin-on, non-grilling recipe for haddock, stat.
I think it's best fried. Dust in flour, dip in egg wash and roll in bread crumbs. Put in freezer while you heat half an inch of oil in a skillet. When medium high /325 degrees, fry the fishes until golden brown, flip and do the other side. Serve with jalapeño tartar sauce
I love you.

Not so much about this post, but in general, and I don't tell you this enough.
Are you pregnant again?
No?

I love the question mark.

Ditka, big fan of you live-blogging your commute.
I said the same thing earlier but didn't get a "like" from Ditka like you did. :kicksrock:

In two short days I've counted three (3) things you and I have in common now: correcting people's Italian, banning Floppo from the thread for not drinking, and enjoying Ditka's commute blogging. I'm starting to think we're soulmates.
You should move to Youngstown.

Floppos are almost broke. Brilliant wife hasn't worked in years since kids. Old (good) job interviewed her today for basically the same old (good) position. thropwashers cheaply illicited.
Still tl imo
and your face is tl imo.

GL to your wife. What kind of stuff does she design? If you say "men's jeans with flap pockets and/or bling on the butt" I take it back.
:oldunsure:
If I recall, she used to be with J Crew, right?

The gf came over tonight for dinner with me and my daughter... They met once before briefly, but this was the first extended visit. My daughter passed out and went to bed, my girlfriend is currently passed out on my couch. I'm finishing a bottle of wine and catching up on the last several days of GMTAN. Life is good :banned:

Seriously. You need to be surreptitiously working it into her dooker right now.

I think me and this FUBAR dude are going to fight IRL. Anyone know if he's ripped? Matuski power?

so our Costco just added a gas station

I went and tried it today

you don't have to be a Costco member and they don't take cash only American Express or a bank card

wth
It's illegal in NJ to require any type of membership to get gas at a gas station. Or something like that. The BJs gas station I go to doesn't require that you be a member, but the ones in other states do.

My stepmother is coming to town for four days, and I'm seriously struggling with what to do while she's here. Her interests include baseball and Jesus. She is scared of birds, alcohol and people who don't love Jesus (other than me and Mr. krista). We have a Mariners game, Pike Place and the Chihuly exhibit on the agenda. Other ideas from my NW friends? I'm even struggling with where to have meals...Elliot's will be one stop but I'm out of ideas after that. I'd like to take her to someplace that shows how beautiful it is here but am not sure what encapsulates that the best (without birds).

Same thing here. Same with liquor. Costco Liquor is open to the public. It may be that way everywhere.

Most of those Chihuly sculptures are pretty scary looking, kinda devil-y and very un-jesus-y. May want to cancel that part of the agenda.

Nah, it's something she wanted to do. I'm sure she can see Jesus or the apostles or something in all of them.

ETA: Lest it seem like I'm complaining about her, I should mention my stepmother is the kindest and most loving person I know. Completely full of grace. She would be happy just to hang out and see us, but I'd like her to have a good time doing stuff she might not do at home. We just don't have a lot of common interests.

Between the fear of fish and fear of birds, you might need to move to the desert. Near a solar power plant flanked by multiple wind farms.

I mean, you've already been there long enough...time to move on.

We have steel mills again. :oldunsure:

On a related note to floppo, Mrs. Frosty got invited to participate in some sort of small business expo. For just $40 she gets an 8x8 booth at this exhibition thinger in St. Paul. I figure between materials to make product and expenditures to make her booth look like some kind of business we should end up negative just a couple hundred bucks or so.

That was kind of dickish. Really it's a good chance for her to find out if this can be an actual very small business that makes some money. I think the hope is somebody with a bigger small business likes your stuff and starts buying it or something like that. I don't really know but she's pretty excited so I'm rooting for her.

Better than essential oils, right Bentley?
