MAJOR WOW FACTOR!!!

:X :X :X :X :X

Sorry... other than Levi, nobody is THAT gay! Every time I see that commercial, I rush into the shower to scrub my taint.
You hate gays. Got it.
Well it could be more nuanced than that. But I was confused why anyone would be offended by Tim Gunn. The guy oozes class, dignity, and great style.
The ex used to force me to watch his stupid show on Bravo. He is not usually that over-the-top effeminate. He gayed it up for that commercial, and were I gay I'd be even more offended.

:goodposting: Love that guy. Oozes warmth, too.
If you know make it work, you know he has a great talent for dealing with diverse personalities. Big fan of the way he deals with people. If it's the whole ew I might get the gay from him thing - I get it, some guys think the homophobic repulsion is involuntary - he is asexual. Gave up on love 30 years when he got crushed. Which makes his level of self-actualization even more amazing, because he is so matter of fact about it. You expect him to be embittered and he's not in the least.

 Yeah, totally Kressleyed it.

I'm 90 percent sure that someone had physical relations in my office building just before I arrived yesterday afternoon. I can pin it down to managers with weekend access to the building. I have already made a call to Operations to find out whose card was used over the weekend.
This deserves it's own thread. :useless:
There was no visual evidence, only olfactory evidence. I was 50/50 on making it it's own post. Decided to play it safe and keep it here in the warm confines of the GTMAN mothership.
Well, I just solved this mystery. Showed up to the office to find one other car in the parking lot. Noone was in it. I go through the front area and into the opening bullpen. There was an assistant working at her desk but you can tell she is ghost white to find a manager coming in. We had some small talk about working on a Saturday and I went back to my office. Found out she has been given permission to work on the weekend to make up hours she loses during the week, due to college. A few minutes later, she comes back to my office to say she is leaving. I glance out the window as she leaves and I see a guy sitting in the passenger seat as she pulls away. The two of them both looked like they had just gotten away with murder, but realized they should never do it again.

You sure you don't have the gout, gb? I do and it blows.
How would I know? Should I have any other symptoms?

Get tested. No other symptoms besides crippling pain in that exact spot. Also it tends to be hereditary.

http://arthritis.webmd.com/tc/gout-topic-overview"What are the symptoms? The most common sign of gout is a nighttime attack of swelling, tenderness, redness, and sharp pain in your big toe. You can also get gout attacks in your foot, ankle, or knees. The attacks can last a few days or many weeks before the pain goes away. Another attack may not happen for months or years."==========="To ease the pain during a gout attack, rest the joint that hurts. Taking ibuprofen or another anti-inflammatory medicine can also help you feel better. But don't take aspirin. It can make gout worse by raising the uric acid level in the blood."

I have had hellacious pain at the base of my big toe for the last year or so. The joint is swollen/distended. IDK, just too ####### busy to get around to a doc and it must have been in remission when I had my annual physical over the winter.

Gout/No Gout?

Better Q - ask my GP first, or go to a podiatrist (are they quacks like chiropractors?), or Orthopedist? No, I don't need a referral from my GP first under out plan.

TIA

#######it, the HVAC unit serving the third floor of the house just stopped working about an hour ago. I think it's having a sympathetic outage in solidarity with its East Coast pals.

I realize my problem is very first-world-y. :bag:

GP - they'll do a blood test to determine if you have the gout. Sure sounds like you do.

T&P for everyone riding out this little guster, and also for YSR with her struggles in the waterfront mansion. Does the gardener, maid, cook or limo driver not have any HVAC skills? Time to hire new help, my lady.

I think you have me and Krista confused. I have waterfront, but it's no mansion. And our HVAC is just fine.

2/3 of our HVAC is fine, too. :(Tanner will be happy to know that I rescued all the cats from the now-steamy third floor. They are apparently too stupid to move. Appreciate all your continued T&P as we deal with this perilous situation.

Self-inflicted heat peril, as I decided a 107-degree day was just perfect for car shopping.

Then I got a haircut.

I know it disappoints my hair's many fans, but you just can't have Magical Outer Space Hair (copyright 2011 Zookcorp) when it's this hot. Gotta keep it high and tight till fall.

I have done just the opposite, and really thinking I should have waited. For years I was a #2 on the sides and back, short on top to spike up with product. But I haven't had a haircut since early June, and my hair is the longest it has been since college, which in Texas and this heat wave, just seems stupid.

Or maybe they knew you'd come get them. Might as well conserve energy.

sounds like it. GP should be fine. All they have to do is draw blood to test your uric acid levels.

Like I said earlier, going to a draft tomorrow in a league with some guys from my church. No money, just for fun, I have no real interest in winning. 12 teams, maybe one or two decent players, the rest will fight over Cowboys early in the draft. What would be the best drafting shtick to bring humor here to the GMTAN on Monday morning?
Well I didn't do any worthy shtick. I rushed in late, started the draft and ended up with "Wow, you guys really suck at this" shtick. My team, 12-teams, PPRQB: Vick, SanchezRB: Ray Rice, Hillis, Best, MorenoWR: Fitzgerald, Welker, Colston, Mike Thomas, Knox, BranchTE: Witten, Zach MillerDef: PhiladelphiaK: Henery
Nice team :thumbup:ETA: Having Philly D and Henery on the same time might suck on their bye week

Shouldn't you fix your signature?
I've been busy preparing for a hurricane (I bet no one has a larger combination of beer and freeze pops than I do right now) I'll be fixing my sig shortly.

Someone made a joke today about having a bad hair day if we get the 100 mph winds they're were predicting. I thought of you and giggled to myself.

"On the internet the dude ranks second only to cats in "things universally loved." And it's for good reason. I could start listing all his awesome qualities but then I think I'd be required to get one of those crude celebrity tattoos on my thigh." :lmao:Swear I've never seen the guy before, but oddly one of my friends just posted on FB today that he was in her top five, too. I'll imdb him. TU, GL with Irene.

I know how you feel. The west wing of my house really needs to be vacuumed. Just can't find good help these days. And by "west wing", I mean "12 x 8 room that just happens to face west, where we store a bunch of crap"

Beer>YesFreeze pops>No

The box of pops I sent you were the first ones that have entered our house since we bought it. I know, I should be ashamed.

That reminds me, I'm thinking about doing another prize pack contest. Criteria TBD. Will update accordingly in the next week or two.
