Well, it's going to be the hottest day of the year in Portland today. Possibly up to 100 degrees. Yes, I can hear all of you in Texas laughing at me. Bite me, we don't have A/C. Normally the ex takes the boys on Sunday, but since we're heading to Michigan next week sans boys, I told the ex I'd take them all weekend.
Yesterday, we headed to the coastal mountains, found a little river to hole up in, splash around, catch crawfish and drink ice cold Pepsis (okay and few Molsons). This nice Russian or Ukranian gal who was catching crawfish near us told us about a 'lost lake' about 4 miles up a dirt road. So around 5pm, we decided to try and find this little lake. We did and it was incredible. There were about 7 or 8 other people out on this entire lake, which was more like a giant pond or a little lake but still....it felt like we had it all to ourselves. My boys spent about an hour or so moving giant logs around the water. I read an ESPN Fantasy Magazine (which is AWFUL - AVOID THIS ONE) to prepare for upcoming drafts. Once the sun set, we loaded back up, drove an hour and change back home, showered up and hit Buffalo Wildwings. Then, on to DQ for blizzards. All in all, a perfect day.
But now what? I'm sitting around here racking my brain on what to do. Wife working again today, so it's just me and the boys. Sitting around is not an option. I think I'll go poop and cogitate. BRB.
