GM's thread about nothing (16 Viewers)

Buddy just texted me - apparently I must go to his wife's soccer team party at 5:00. A bevy of 20 something athletic women will be drinking, hopefully until I look good. Thank goodness I'm wearing my lucky underwear. Sadly, I had to wear them inside out today.
Godspeed. :kicksrock: Ask if they'd like to blow your vuvuzela.
I'm so going to wave my vuvuzela all over the place.

I think I argued in the Smack Off why the Goo Goo Dolls were the worst rock n roll band ever (or something similar to that).

Aaron, please reactivate the Smack Off Forum so I can look it up.

TIA

I saw a drunk driver hit a parked car recently. There were a bunch of witnesses who had a clearer view than I did, including the owner of the car. She started crying and said please don't call the cops. There was no damage to the car, and somehow, the people there were going to let her leave. I said, whooaaa there, I don't give a #### about the cops, you should take your keys out of the car and put them on the seat next to you. You're in no condition to drive. She agreed and got out of the car, then started arguing with some teenagers who were mocking her and saying she was going to jail. I had to stop her again (verbally, not physically) when she started charging at them and screaming nasty things at them. Someone did end up calling the cops. While we're all milling about, someone else offers to drive her car - which was still parked diagonally in the center of the parking lot - home for her a mile up the street and have his wife follow them and pick him up. Just as they're leaving, the cops arrive, and chase that guy down. I spoke with another cop who arrived later, and he said, there's no chance of her being charged with anything because it won't hold up.

Disco Stu would have had sex with her.

I'm fairly certain that was an option. She kept saying, you know me, I don't do this. I've never seen her before. At some point I think she said something almost undecipherable that I think was about how she didn't want to get arrested again.

You should have asked her if she used to play basketball.

I'm a big fan of Thursday nights in general but might be spreading myself too thin this time. I have my son all weekend, so I'm trying to cram as much as possible into tonight. :banned:Yesterday I made plans with a girl I met a couple weeks ago. IIRC she was cool and pretty cute. Twenty-something (26 or 27?) blonde. Meeting for beers at 8. She has to be up early in the morning, so it should be fairly brief. Now today I start chatting with a new chick on that iPhone app. We might meet for a minute tonight since she lives in the area I'm headed to, but she has class in the morning. :homer: You guys will hate me (more) if this one works out. 5'1" blonde, 22, fit, and really cute. Apparently she likes guys who are much taller and older. :lmao:I don't want to miss the window of opportunity with the second girl, so I need to figure out how to handle this. Might push the meeting time up to 7:00 for the first one. I already told the second I wouldn't be out until 10 or 10:30. But if the first girl invites me in I'll have a situation. One of those bird in the hand vs two in the bush things. (I'm sure those words could be rearranged somehow if this wasn't someone's daughter.)Also meeting a couple buddies later, so assuming both girls turn in early there will still be some entertainment.Oh and "Student" is planning to break up with her boyfriend tonight and may come by my place if the timing is right. I love Thursdays.
Update?:vicariousboners:
(s)? you have two? :intrigued:
I barely have one. :bag:

Crabtree or Harvin in PPR keeper league. I figure Crabtree has much more upside and Harvin is likely to drop dead any day now. No brainer, right?

Will not answer yours.

Crabtree easily. Don't look back.
Crabtree worth more than 2 Harvins.
According to FBG App: Harvin worth 9pts more than Crabtree:popcorn:
ambulance rides = points?
I guess Dodds thinks so

Oh no. My 17 yo cousin just called me. He's pretty sure he knocked his girlfriend up. I feel like I'm going to vomit. Seriously.

I'll probably be in the drunk thread later if I can type.

Doesn't know if she is pregnant. She is. She took two different tests and they came up positive. He wants a third opinion. :blackdot: He's taking her to Planned Parenthood tomorrow for another test.

I don't need this #### right now.

UPDATE: Everything is going as well as we could hope. He's eating, filling up diapers, and showing a lot of the energy that was missing and causing concern. We won't know anything definitive until we get the lab results back and that probably won't be until tomorrow evening sometime, but things are definitely positive right now.

Thanks for all the kind words.

Also, and I hope this isn't too gay, but I never knew I could cry as much as I did last night. So scary. Wife and I basically spend the night taking turns breaking down and being teh strong one. I know I've complained about her here, but that was shtick - she's an amazing woman. I think my 2-year old is getting really confused as to why Mommy isn't ever home (she spends almost all her time at the hospital because she's breastfeeding while I try to spend as much time with Abby as I can). Everything about this sucks. Tonight was the night everyone was supposed to be home. It's just hard. And again, I'm sorry to dump this stuff into a mostly slapstick thread, but believe me, it really helps. You guys may be idiots, but I feel like you're my idiots. Thank you.

Welcome to the family.

Just got a phone call. Meningitis test came back negative, as did some other test for infection. There are still some things that haven't come back and could be pretty serious, but in general things are looking way, way up. Doctor now theorizing that it could be something as simple as some bad acid reflux that he choked on a couple of times, which isn't ideal but is far, far better than some of the other things that were being discussed.

Everyone have drink to Ben!
