GM's thread about nothing (28 Viewers)

Ben is home. He has a wicked problem with acid reflux, but as long as we take the right precautions everything should be fine, and by the time he hits 6 months it will probably be all gone. Far, far better diagnosis than some of the other possibilities they were throwing at us Thursday night. Thanks all.

Just an FYI for the degenerates out there that may peruse this thread....

Netspend cards evidently do work at Bodog. Opened an account there this week and funded, no hassles.

I made this Sunday.

GM & Shuke, <hi

St. Louis Bob's Heart Attack Steak Sandwich

Equipment:

Cast Iron Skillet

Oven

Ingredients:

2 sticks of salted butter (no margarine)

Paprika

Garlic Powder

Salt & Pepper

Char boil seasoning

7 slices of mozzarella cheese

2 1/4" strip steaks

1 Vidalia onion

1 green pepper

1/2 cup Giorgio Sliced Mushrooms

1 loaf of of Pepperidge Farm Hearth Style French Bread

Warm the cast iron skillet on medium-low heat and melt 1 stick of butter. (I also like to combine the butter with bacon grease which I had available from breakfast that morning but this isn't necessary.) Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Slice the onion & green pepper and sautee' them in the skillet along with the mushrooms. When the onions begin to turn slightly translucent, lightly salt. Slice the loaf of French bread in half and butter generously. Lightly sprinkle buttered brad with garlic powder the completely cover with the mozzarella cheese. Top all of the cheese with a dash of paprika. Warm in oven for 12 minutes or until the cheese begins to bubble and melt. Remove sauteed vegetable from the pan and drain. Turn the heat up to medium and trim any fat from the steaks. Place steaks in skillet. Sprinkle each side with salt & pepper and charbroil seasoning. Cook 5-6 minutes for medium rare and 7-8 minutes for medium. Remove bread from oven and cover both sides with the vegetables and then the steak. Fold over and slice in two.

What made you think of this? Was it the acid reflux talk?
I made it Sunday. It's awesome but only a couple of times a year thing like fried chicken.I just thought I would throw it out there GB. :lmao:
I love fried chicken, my cholesterol level does not. GD genes.ETA

GM, thoughts on my sandwich?
I was intrigued until I got to the mushrooms. Yuck.Otherwise, sounds great!

FIL made his own pizza dough, shaped them out to the size of a frisbee, let them stay in the fridge for 48 hours and then let us all build our own pizzas with the freshest ingredients around before cooking them up on the grill. Simply incredible.

Slightly Stoopid is now offering full refunds (minus the etix fee) for their show that was cancelled and rescheduled sans Cypress Hill and the Collie Buds.

Very cool of them.

Seems to me GM would like shrooms.
I've never done them. :)Sidenote - do not EVER EVER buy generic Metamucil. I almost choked to death trying to drink a glass of it just now. Felt like drinking a pair of Tre's boxer shorts.
I take the Target brand of the pills. Can't imagine drinking that stuff. :X
Jesus, you guys are ####### old. ;)
Hey, a good deuce knows no age boundaries.

Pretty sure that's not poo

Since we are talking about neighbors.Ours are renters that have been here about 6 months, the owner just put the house on the market about a month ago. That pretty much sucks but i guess this guy figures it doesn't matter what he does or who he pisses off now. He was a decent guy in the beginning. So anyway, the wife goes out front this morning and the neighbors dog is taking a morning steamer on our lawn. She sees **** (his name is Richard) out in his driveway and he calls the dog over. She says "i hope you are going to take care of this" and he says he does while scratching the dogs head and telling him how good a dog he is.Couple hours later i go out to my truck and notice the pooches present still on the lawn! Let me add, this is not the first time something has ended up in the lawn since they moved in, but it was the first time the dog was caught in full squat and the first time **** got caught allowing it.I grabbed a shovel and launched the pile over the back fence onto his patio. The next one, should it happen again, will end up on the hood of a car in his driveway!!Let the neighbor games begin!!!
Oh, this has legs....
You ought to dump it down the chimney in the middle of the night.

My cholesterol was high on consecutive trips to the doctor. I have one more shot to drop it. My father has high cholesterol, but is the oddball in the family... until now.

It's awesome but only a couple of times a year thing like fried chicken.
does not compute
Bad cholesterol runs in my family. Sucks.
Me too, GB. Me too.Going to the doc on Friday....haven't had a check up in a few years. Was on Lipitor for a while, but stopped taking it after the divorce. I'm not sure that was wise.

Also, I have a small lump inside my cheek that comes and goes.

And I'm not quite sure my butt is 100%.

40 might be a reach for me.

I take 10mg of Lipitor 3 days a week and it helps. My Dad has bad cholesterol, his Dad has bad cholesterol and his Dad, well, he dropped dead at 34 from congenital heart failure.I hope everything is alright with your cheek GB.
