GM's thread about nothing (24 Viewers)

So wait, is Mississippi somehow worse than Alabama? I admit to being very new to this Southern thing, so I need to get the tiers correct (lest I get in Pickles' crosshairs). So, if I have this right, TX>GA>TN>AR>AL>MS?Open to any corrections here.
Mississippi is definitely worse than Alabama. I might flip Arkansas and Alabama. Louisiana is probably just before Mississippi, but it's a close race.NC>SC>KY>TN>GA>AR>AL>LA>MSYWIA

Are we doing Pet Peeves now? Great! I love those. Here's a couple you parents out there can appreciate:1) If I throw my child a birthday party at a place like "Laser Port", offer to watch your child for the duration of the party, thereby gifting you an afternoon to yourself absent at least one child, DO NOT abuse that offer by arriving late to pick your child up....ESPECIALLY if your child is a spoiled little turd with no manners and a smart mouth the likes of which my grandmother would have smacked. A few minutes late, okay. Give me a call (I asked to exchange numbers before you dropped Damien off) if it's 15 minutes or more. Grrrrrrrr.
This was my biggest complaint when I coached youth soccer. The majority of the parents stayed for practice but some dropped their kids off. I couldn't believe the number of them that thought is was perfectly fine to show up 10-15-20 minutes late. And of course you can't take off and leave the kid their alone. I was always tempted to take the left behind kid and go hide with him behind a tree or something. Watch the parent freak out when their kid wasn't there. But always figured that would be pretty creepy.
When I was in 4th grade, my friend's dad was supposed to pick us up from soccer. He was a bit of a drunk and forgot. We ended up walking home 5 miles just the two of us. No one freaked out. Of course that was the 70s

I can get on board with NC and SC at the top. Surprised to see KY ranked so highly, though. And LA doesn't get some boost from having New Orleans?

I give Kentucky credit for partially overlapping with Ohio culture, though as I type this now, it doesn't make any ####### sense and is possibly cause for demoting it a couple of spots. But it has Louisville and the Kentucky Derby and Lexington and that gives me a certain sense of comfort. Tennessee could potentially move ahead. Louisiana could be below Mississippi if it weren't for New Orleans./

StLB> care package received :banned:

BF thought it was something business-related and opened it. He has since asked that I get a PO Box for presents from my other boyfriends.
Oh come on. :bag:

On a side note, Mrs. SLB took possession of the family photo's after her Dad died. I was looking through them, since she left them all over my desk, and there is a pic of her in Florida laying out at the age of 21. Good Lord, I forgot just how ridiculous her body was.
Scanner down?
No. :towelwave:
Well then...
It's at :mp:.

Having lived in Mississippi, I wouldn't have a clue what ranks below it and I sure wouldn't want to be live there. And yes, outside of New Orleans to a much lesser extent Baton Rouge, Louisiana is a terrible place to live. Alexandria might be more dangerous than Baghdad.

Oh, operation "move to the beach" is looking good. I think I mentioned that in here somewhere. My neighbor had put his house on the market and with a pool and being slightly larger, I wanted him to get his house sold before I listed mine. It sold a while back, but the courthouse finally recorded the documents to give me a sales price without having to ask a nosey question. I'm excited. I should be able to still make a nice profit on this house considering what I paid 4 years ago and should have nice amount to put towards making my next loan miniscule.I think the last time I mentioned moving in this thread, I was considering moving without a job and possibly buying a lot and roughing it. That's changed too. I can still do my same job considering most of it is done by computer and on the internet already and I've been given the go ahead to move. I won't be trying to find a deal on a lot with water access now because I need to actually find a real house with a 2nd or 3rd bedroom for a physical office.:pumped: :flex:
i know you told me before....but where were you trying to move to again? Pensecola?

Oh holy ####.

Mrs. SLB was at the movies with Cal today and on the way home, about 1/2 mile from our house, some guy got hit by a car. She was the second one on the scene, the first being the lady who hit the guy who was freaking out of her mind. The lady was so out of it she didn't even call 911. So Mrs. SLB called 911, then held the guys hand and talked to him to keep him from going unconscious. Then she called me to pick up Cal, which I just did.

I just heard a helicopter fly over the house.

Played 3 full court games of basketball playing by ones up to 21 last night (~8:30 - 11:30)...woke up and played 5 on 5 flag football (60 yard field) first to 12 counting by ones from about 9:30 - 12:30.

I am freaking dead. I can't remember the last time I did this much in a short amount of time. Grabbed a sandwich, ate it then took a shower and hit the coach. Just woke up. I think I might sleep for 12 more hours tonight.

Good times though...might make it a weekly thing

Wow. Your wife is pretty awesome. Explain again what she's doing with you. Maybe whip up a PowerPoint or Venn diagram or something.

Yeah, he was standing in the minivan watching the whole thing. I opened his door and carried him to my car as quickly as I could. The whole time he kept saying "oh, thank you daddy, oh thank you daddy".Fire engines, cop cars and ambulances were all arriving when I got there.

:) :lmao: :lmao:On two separate occasions she has saved somebody from drowning all on her own too. :goodposting:As far as why she is with me? I don't know. She used to think I was funny but I've exhausted most of my funny with her years ago. Now I think she is just afraid she'll end up with full custody of the boys.

She's home. They flew the guy away in the copter.

We have to leave for a party in about 20 minutes. Luckily it's only 3 blocks from here.

There really isn't any more that she found out. The responders thanked her and sent her on the way. I guess we'll have to wait for the paper tomorrow.

When you say you hit the coach, did you punch him/her? Or did you hit him/her like a sex crazed monkey?

Oh man, sorry to hear that. Your wife. She's superwoman. :whoosh: I think I mentioned in this thread that we saw a woman laying in the street this summer after being hit by a car. It was awful. She made it though. Hope this guy does too. ;)

After 20+ years I still give her goose bumps when I touch her.

Well, in all fairness, I would probably be creeped out too.

Arkansas and Mississippi regularly fall behind (ahead of? they are worse than...) Alabama in education, obesity, and probably more categories which aren't good to be 1st/2nd or 49th/50th. There's a saying in Alabama which simply states, "Thank god for Mississippi and Arkansas," and it's usually uttered after any national survey is taken on any subject. My cousin is the govenor now, so I'm sure he'll fix everything. :goodposting:

Yep. Gulf Breeze/Navarre actually. It's not South Beach, of course, but I know the area well now and love what it has to offer.

Cool. I knew you went that directions for vacations regularly.

Lots of commercials. One of them for ICP wrestling, including "The Weedman", some hick with his "Illegitimate Daughter", and a guy named "Corporal Robinson."

Corporal isn't that high, is it?

And we're right into the movie. Some shady lookin western fellas playing poker vs. the fat clown..

I think he's going to have the winning hand.

Some guy accused him of cheating and the fat clown shot him.

Longhorn message boards are on FULL MELTDOWN.I'm watching women's college volleyball. It's a great spectator sport.
Alabama fans are worried that Kirby Smart might leave to be the DC for Muschamp. I think there's a better chance of Mack Brown asking him to be the HCIW/DC for Texas and him taking it.
