One of the greatest albums ever. Side two is an incredible run."Spanish Bombs" (all time favorite) "The Right Profile" "Lost in the Supermarket" "Clampdown" "The Lllamas of Brixton"

For the first time... ever?Welcome to 1980 Furley
in my house we heard the Commodores, Earth Wind and Fire and such  this is waaaaaaay off my radar.
No excuse. In my house we also heard the Commodores, EWF, and such and such.
well, we never heard The Clash.. or anything really from that genre. my mom likes Barry Manilow :lmao:

"Ouch."

First row shouldn't be in the line of fire like that.
When I sat down, I remember thinking "there's no way a puck can hit us here...physics should prevent that". Pretty sure that line of thinking is what got the Titanic sunk.

That puck was flying when it hit her. It should have hit me, but I ducked at the last possible second. I feel like the biggest wuss in the world. I took her flowers yesterday and have felt so awful since it happened. Those seats are dangerous. I'm surprised there aren't more incidents like this.
:cough: :cough: :cough: :lmao:

Sorry. :(

Well, most people just grab the puck in the air... kind of like a fly ball in baseball, but actually far less common, and not traveling as fast.

That is until a puck came screaming over the glass, missing me and my son by a fraction and slamming right into the head of the 9-year old girl we were with. The guy behind us caught the ricocheted puck and said to us "Man, that was close!" And the young girl even smiled for an instant before realizing she had just been blasted by the damn thing. She started screaming and her mom cradled her head into her hands. When she pulled her hand away, I saw the blood just gushing out. We gathered up the kids and ran towards the exits.
I experience something similar several years ago. I headed to Memphis for the weekend to visit the guy I was dating at the time, and decided to surprise him with a fun night out at the RiverKings hockey game. As a way of background, when he was 10 years old, he was beaned in the face by a railroad tie (can't remember the details), but it knocked out his front four teeth. So, understandably, he is very on edge at baseball games, etc.So, I got us tickets behind the glass. Third row, I think. Problem solved. All is well and we are having a ball (I'm driving so he's boozing off of the flask of bourbon I brought in), when all of the sudden, the guy two seats down gets hit. The puck somehow made it over the glass in something of a sharp arc in order to hit him. I still don't know how it happened. What I do know is that it happened in slow motion. I saw the puck go up, come down, hit the guy and much like your little friend, he smiled and all was well. Then the blood started gushing out of what had to be a 4 inch cut right at his hairline. :moneybag:Love the pic you took. Cute little wounded one.

Sunject on the e-mail I just received:

HAPPY HOILDAYS FROM GLOBAL

This probably went to about 10,000 people. lol

Speaking of e-mail, YSR, did you get mine earlier?

Wow...FF playoffs...up 15 going into tonight, he has Giants D and S Rice going...I don't like my chances

Just logged in and saw that he switched Steve Smith NYG in for Rice at the last minute

I am pretty sure I like this

People realizing that hockey is better behind the glass and London Calling is a good album? What's next - someone discovering that food tastes better when you're high?

Fantasy season is circling the drain. I'm so fat and out of shape that a mile and half on the treadmill caused blinding lumbar pain. But at least I have the Jon Gruden drinking game. :smashedinthesecondquarter:

Got some pretty sweet club section seats to the saints game for free yesterday ($330 face value) and there was some chick playing words with friends on here ipad (not iphone) the entire game. :banned:
Wat?
Got some pretty sweet club section seats to the saints game for free yesterday ($330 face value)
This part I got.
was some chick playing words with friends on here ipad (not iphone) the entire game.
Explain this to me like I'm 89 years old and in a diaper. What is 'playing words' and why did it bother you?
"Words with friends" is a scrabble like game for the iphone/ipad. It bothered me for a few reasons (1) This ##### was sitting in $300+seats and playing a video game the entire game long...and not even paying attention to the saints game. (2) She brought a ####### ipad to a saints game...clearly, playing the game on her phone wasn't enough, so she had to bring the next level mobile device up.Just ####### stay home and give a ticket to someone who cares.

We actually had an extra ticket and gave it to one of the Marines who was working the toys for tots outside the dome....she coulda done something similar

I got a Christmas card at work today from somebody in Houston and I don't have the foggiest idea who they are. One of you guys?
using your Sheik alias to send yourself a christmas card... clever
It said Merry Christmas from the Houston XXXXX's and had a picture with two young boys and a young girl. :banned:
The answer you seek is in this thread. Read posts from December 6th.
One of my daughters is gonna be pissed :banned: :hot:

This wouldn't have been a real issue a few years ago because tickets in that section would have been close to, if not free anyway. She's probably an old school fan.

this being my second go-round, and having talked to other guys with kids, there's one thing of which i am certain.. no matter what... never ever ever ever tell your wife that you are exhausted during the first 2-3 months after she has had a baby.you worked 10 hours today? so ####ing what. she took care of the baby all day.you stayed up with the baby until midnight, got up at 3 and 5:30, then went to work for 10 hours? so ####ing what. she took care of the baby all day.you stayed up with the baby until midnight, got up at 3 and 5:30, then went to work for 10 hours, then came home to make dinner, do the dishes and shovel 10" of snow? so ####ing what. she took care of the baby all day.we get that taking care of the baby all day is hard work, really we do.... so when we fall asleep on the couch at 3 on a sunday because we are running on 3 hours of sleep a night for 3 weeks running, please don't get upset with us and tell us we don't know what it's like to be tired... just let us nap for 45 minutes or an hour. trust us, when we fall asleep involuntarily it's not a slap in your face of the faces of women who for thousands of years have taken care of babies all by themselves.. and we're certainly not mocking you by collapsing between the toilet and the bathroom sink... it's just that our brain has blacked out, like when you drank that half-liter of vodka in 20 minutes at our friends house 15 years ago. when the baby shrieks in about 30 minutes, and the 2 year old steps on our nuts, elbows our throat and knees our forehead again to play "climb the mountain" we'll wake up and make sure to get right on top of those dishes, and dinner, and diapers, and yes.. you can take an hour shower and 3 hour nap because we don't know what it's really like to be tired. we're just ####ing ###holes.:rolleyes:fred> gllllllllll
Send your wife this in a PM.
