It floated up there like a knuckleball; ground rule double.Been awhile...is there a US 20 (?) that runs sorta NW to SE...I don't want to go look it up, whatever road Fremont Ohio and a bunch of other small towns are on...anyway, went up and down that road for months doing tax consulting for PwC. Worst gig ever. Except for the winter I got stuck doing the same thing in the Twin Cities.
somehow, White Castle has more cachet but if you try to eat it more than once a year or so, I'm pretty sure it will kill you.

So, six years ago today I was in a wedding at Disneyland between a buddy of mine and some soul-sucking gal that he met on the Internet. Pretty much haven't talked to him since even though I was the best man. The breaking point was the night before the wedding when he decided he'd rather go back into the park and check out Mr Toad's Wild Ride one more time rather than going to a bar and getting loaded. Should I feel guilty?

My dogs eat acorns, and I let them, even though I have read they shouldn't: I mean if it is ok for a squirrel how bad can it be for a dog. I have had squirrel but I was a child, I can't recall a flavor; grandma was an old time farm woman.Just a random thought I had last night, and didn't really feel like starting a thread about it, but has anyone ever tasted an acorn?I mean, around the holiday times, I seem to end up with one large bowl filled with mixed shell nuts - you know, walnuts, pecans, brazille nuts, etc..... But, never an acorn. Are acorns that horrible? Squirrels eat the #### out of these things. Speaking of which, has anyone ever ate squirrel? A guy that works with me says squirrel and dumplings is one of the best tasting dishes ever and swears by it. I've tasted a helluva lot of things, but acorns and squirrel have yet to enter that repertoire, was just curious

Subways started appearing around NYC...hell... I don't know when- 5-10 years ago?I never notice them because I don't them, BUT- because they do something or other to their "bread" on site, they've always got a smell coming out of them. SOmetimes it smells like fresh bread baking, but most of the time it smells exactly like vomit.

I am proof that even long term Taco Bell usage has no side affects. I have eaten Taco Bell at least once EVERY week since I was 15y/o. I'm 35 now. Usually 2-4 times aweek and it's quality. I eat only organic otherwise and my wife does most of our shopping at Whole Foods. Actually, I take back what I said about every week. I was stuck on the mountain at Sunday River Maine back in 98? during that HUGE Canadian ice storm and probably broke the streak then. I at it as soon as I got back to Rhody though so it may not have broken it.
Also I was in Italy for almost two weeks in 01 and I missed it then for sure. Thats it, i'm sure. EVERY WEEK! I'm gonna go now actually. Nite all!I just wanted to add that the Chilito/chili cheese burrito that was taken off the menu back in the mid nine tees was the best tasting thing in the history of food. They got rid of it because the word Chilito means crank or something in Mexican. I can taste it now....

Guy who stood up with my at my first wedding fell off the face of the earth. He's an highway engineer in Florida, we were really tight all through h.s. and for a 15 years afterward. Then he spiraled downhill (addiction). I tried to be supportive for a long time, but it just got to be too much, so I kept tabs on him through his sister. In and out of rehab - not to sound cold, but the typical gut-wrenching heart-breaking crap that addicts put their friends and loved ones through.Lost track altogether after I moved to NYC 11 years ago. Got a FB friend request from him this year. I know he's been sober for awhile, remarried, just had a kid, back on track. I accepted...but I just couldn't bring myself to responding to the email a few days later. Its weird, I don't mind keeping him in the loop via FB, but its like I just don't want to deal with his #### if he falls of the deep end again.Yeah, totally different from your bud - but people go in and out of your life, it happens.
