I'll admit I've never been to the gym other than to sign my kid up but....dismount? What kind of gym is this?

What is the appropriate amount of time to wait before dismounting?

We use the same pins but there's only 5, well spaced...and the smaller balls. No fingerholes. I think the pins are slightly smaller but the same shape.

I had prepared him that only 15% move on and since there would be plenty of 7th and 8th graders, his chances weren't good. Test was a hundred multiple choice questions where you have to pick the misspelled word. He said that for the last 50 questions, he barely recognized any of the words. Based on his initial negative reaction, I was shocked tonight to find out he's one of 21 moving on to the oral spelling bee in two weeks.

I never played minibowling. I just remember throwing the little ball down a normal sized lane. I thought the pins were the same size as normal bowling too.

5 pins or 10? 5 pin has normal size lanes, just smaller balls. I like that they fit in my hand. Fingerholes sound unnatural.

I was a kid when I played on a trip to Connecticut. I thought the ball was small but everything else was pretty much the same so 10-pins I think, but it might have only had 5.either way, don't ever see any of those smaller ball options around Chicago or Buffalo.

I'm supposed to fly out of the Westchester County Airport in White Plains NY in 4 hours. They are currently closed due to a bomb threat. I'm pretty ####### thrilled with this development.

I had to fly out of there once. They had computer problems and canceled all flights, forcing me to spend the night on a Friday when I was traveling solo for work. Then, the next morning when I was supposed to take a 6:00am flight home, they still hadn't fixed the computer issues, so I ended up taking a $110 cab ride to fly out of LaGuardia at 4pm.So I'm saying you're screwed.

Candlepin is the New England style of bowling. There are ten pins but they are skinnier than regular ones. The balls are about the size of a grapefruit. You get 3 balls per frame instead of 2. The machine doesn't clear in between balls, so you can use "dead wood" to your advantage. I play most Thursdays. It roools.ETA: like this
