I'd think people would like seeing the pics. :confused: Whenever I go somewhere, my FB people always ask me to post pics, and I never get around to it.

My theory is that if I wait until I get home, I'm going to have a stack of crap waiting for me to do, work, and a bunch of other stuff that's going to mean I never get around to posting anything. So, instead of going through them, carefully selecting the best, writing witty captions, and all that (but really never doing any of it) I'm just going to post the pictures I'm taking - almost all of them - and do it daily when I get back to the homestead so it'll actually get done.

Of course they know that (most) tourists don't want to see a cockfight, so at the museum they do a demonstration of it but put little boxing gloves on the roosters instead. The white one looks like he might be tough in this picture, but the little scrappy red one was the winner.

My six year old son is a huge Mario devotee, and his grandparents got him some Mario action figures for Christmas. The other day he was playing with them, voicing the dialogue, and this is what I hear:J: [in really high falsetto "Italian" accent] "What'sa for breakfasta Mario?" "I don'ta knowa Luigi....how about a little ####?"

Me: :eek:

J: "A ####? What is thata?"

Me: :o

J: "It's a wierda kinda chicken! Or we could just have-a some-a Italian oatmeal!" "Umm...let's have oatmeal!"

Is he watching youtube? My daughter (will be 6 on the 30th) is obsessed with Mario and watches tons of Mario clips (as long as her mother or I am around). Mostly Chugga Conroy explaining how to play games. But there are some weird ones out there with a lot of curses, some bleeped, some unbleeped. Any time that there is a curse word, she nervously looks at me and says "don't worry Daddy, I won't ever say that word."

Congrats and all, but I think thats kinda the point. Generally everyone's first year is pretty good. :eek:

:yes: Yeah, J loves those as well. We have a rule that he has to get youtube vids pre-approved by me or mom before watching them. So of course yesterday he tells me that he was "accidentally" watching a Mario vid on youtube. "But don't worry Dad, there weren't any bad words or anything!" :) I actually think the Mario videos are pretty tame compared to some of the X-rated Thomas the Tank Engine stuff he used to find. :football: As far as the knock-off Italian accent, unfortunately, I know where he picked that up, it wasn't youtube. :bag:

 
I'm a warehouse manager, and about 5 of my employees are offsite at another warehouse. I have a supervisor there who reports to me, but handles the day-to-day operations.

I got a call from him this morning that one of the employees called in yesterday because his mom wouldn't let him drive in the snow to work. There was about an inch on the ground yesterday morning. We're in Wisconsin :mellow:

The supervisor then said that he called in again today with the same excuse. We got like 4-6" total yesterday but the roads were pretty clear this morning. Apparently she had driven to work and called him to say that she saw too many accidents and wouldn't allow him to take the car. :mellow:

I don't know why this is post-worthy. I'm just shocked.

How old is the kid?Is it her car? Does he live with her?

Sounds like the mom wouldn't have any problem supporting the kid. There are plenty of people out there looking for jobs.

23-24 I think. I don't know who's car it is but yes he does live with her.My boss and I shared a laugh over this one. He called the guy up and confirmed that was his excuse. My boss then told him this was the "big-boy" world and he had until tomorrow to figure out a way to get in to work :lmao:
 
When we hire kids out of college, it's common for their parents to call up and try to negotiate/ask questions about the offer.

Different generation I guess :shrug:

Nice. Just found out ex of four years is going to marry a much older woman with a ##### load of $$$ that she's only known for five weeks. Any shred of respect I held for her is now gone.
