This thread transcends oceans and cultural differences!GM's thread about team handball
there was at least one link that was nsfw. I clicked it--you know, to make sure it was safe for everyone else.I don't think anyone was linking to pr0n stars, just dropping the names of the girls who were with him that night.

I'm not even stateside until MondayYou know your guests better than any of us would. Just figure out what you think you'd need and double it.Could someone remind me what the rule is for how much booze you buy per person for a party? We'll have hard stuff available if anyone wants to mix something, but mostly beer, wine, sangria and margaritas. How much per person do I plan on?

Thanks for the help. I thought there was some general rule of thumb for this?Depends on how heavy you'll think they'll drink, but I usually figure 12 beers per suds drinker and a 1/5 of wine for those with a taste for the grape.ETA: if you're not sure who drinks what, assume 6 beers per person (all of your responders) & a fifth of wine per every two (again, all of them). You'll have stuff left over most likely, but I've found this covers most situations. You know your guests better than any of us would. Thank you GBUH. Very helpful! Ugh....you should still be covered, though. Maybe bump it up to 8 beers per person and 2/3 of a fifth per attendee just to be sure? You said you had liquor covered so that ought to see you safely home. If you're worried about any leftovers going bad, I have a Fedex # happily ready to be PMedThank you GBUH. Very helpful! We're not that far from you.I really want to go to Krista's house now.
We bought a new 58" TV yesterday so that we would have four TVs. Thinking of getting another one today.
We are going to have a separate bar set up on each of the three floors with beer, wine, and freshly made sangria and margaritas. Barbacoa, carnitas, chicken, and vegetables for tacos or fajitas, ceviche, guacamole, rice & beans, and about 8 million toppings, all of this homemade by Mr. krista4. Dessert TBD. Live entertainment pre-game and of course the marching band at halftime. Squares game and prop bets for prizes. Everyone must declare their allegiance when they arrive by choosing a Terrible Towel or a cheese bracelet. I might not make it out of this alive.Sounds awesome! Mom, you helped deliver a lot of packages in your lifetime and I'm so blessed that I was one of them. I'm the luckiest daughter in the world and I love you.EarlyPSThanks for not shooting up the office and embarassing the family.I need help writing something for my mom. She's retiring today from the post office after 35 years...basically all of my life. My dad has always worked at something and made great money but my mom was the one with the steady reliable job, benefits, etc. She was so stressed out about it that she postponed her original Dec 28th retirement for a month. And she keeps all the cards I write anything on so I feel it has to be good.

Should I google mimosa or assume consider the source and assume it's wine based? I don't really drink but I just had so much to include and was feeling all over the place with my thoughts on it. I didn't give it to her at dinner, its' not finished.Mom, you helped deliver a lot of packages in your lifetime and I'm so blessed that I was one of them. Early, have a mimosa or two to relax and it will come to you. I'm sure whatever comes out of your heart is going to be much better and more meaningful than suggestions from strangers on a message board.
