that sounds like a fun party
:goodposting: I'd actually consider flying in for this one.
I was just thinking about the fact that I have a couple unused free Southwest Airlines tickets. If the boy was a couple years older, we'd be on our way to Memphis tomorrow (if they'd have us).
bentley & AngryWife absolutely welcome. Frankly anyone in this thread very welcome...well, mostly. I know it won't happen, but I want y'all to know I'd be happy to see you and you'd be honored guests here. :banned:

You know your guests better than any of us would. Just figure out what you think you'd need and double it.
:goodposting: Thanks for the help. I thought there was some general rule of thumb for this?
Depends on how heavy you'll think they'll drink, but I usually figure 12 beers per suds drinker and a 1/5 of wine for those with a taste for the grape.ETA: if you're not sure who drinks what, assume 6 beers per person (all of your responders) & a fifth of wine per every two (again, all of them). You'll have stuff left over most likely, but I've found this covers most situations.
Thank you GBUH. Very helpful! Living in TN is making this more difficult than usual as there's no option to run out and get more on a Sunday.
you can buy beer after noon in Memphis on Sundays.
Liquor stores, which in TN are ridiculous and the only place you can buy wine, booze (non-beer) or mixers, which you might note constitute the vast majority of our provisions, not open on Sunday. I'm sure you know this, though. :banned:

We're under a tornado watch. :(

And thanks for a new sig, GBGM.
I hate tornadoes to the max. Funny, I was just telling a client in Texas that.Go in the basement and take any random pills you find on the ground.
:banned:  :lmao:

Jesus, I missed this before. Mr. krista4 yelled at me a month or so ago because I found a random pill in my purse and intended to ingest it. This is really the normal course, yes?

I love how easy Mrs. Frost is within a certain BAC band, let's guess somwhere from .06 to .16. As tweeder would say, "its niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice"

Done and done

I just pulled off food service for a banquet for 475 people with a staff of four.
Really? These are all the ####### details you're going to provide?
More specifically, Where? For whom? Why?What happened to my invite?
It was for an awards banquet for the local Race Track. Thunder something, held in the old Old Albertson's on Westgate.I did it to raise money to try and get the space refurbed and open a cafe there. It was a private party

Nice.

My boys play in that age group. My favorite and frequently occurring play is when the kids dribble the ball directly beneath the basket, look up at the direct underside of it and are then like "Aw ####, now what do I do?"

I'm usually a rock-n-soul kinda guy (60s & 70s vintage), but is there a better record than Cab Calloway's "Minnie The Moocher"?

Got a new dog at the shelter today.

Chi-Dach mix. Very cool little dog so far. Already put one of the cats in its place.

Wife named him....Tanner. :bag:

No sense in explaining to her why some of my "friends" might find that weird.
Cool jump suit, brah! ;)
:lmao: That's my kid in some goofy hoody.
Is he Gangsta? Or just fashion-challenged like me?
 No clue. Some friend of him gave him that hoody. I told him it looked like something I wore after AYSO soccer in 1980. He's always wearing something different/weird.

I think this is my Super Bowl party.Incogneto, does the fact you're here now mean you made it through the whole thread?
Krista, I may have missed it but are you having the affair catered?
 This is the scary part (or one of many). Mr. krista4 is cooking all of it. He's a fantastic chef, but this is a lot to ask.

Nah, it's all good. You know what I've discovered after planning multiple wedding receptions for myself ( )? People make do - no one cares as much as the host(ess).

No powder-blue leisure suit (with a flowered-print shirt and stacked shoes), then he hasn't offended the eyes as much as I did in 1978.

Has everyone watched the Aussie open Men's final yet? Can we talk about it now?

(...or is it only women's tennis and handball that is talked about?...)

:lmao:  You guys were busy last night.

Krista, I would go to your party but I have friends coming in from out of town. We have this tradition where everybody comes to my house for breakfast then we start playing poker around 11:00. There is some sort of game on and then we can't see around midnight.

I watched the final set (?) this morning with my son. I was....very pleased. Also, that's the first time I've sat and watched an hour or so of Tennis in years. Quite enjoyed it. Do not like Andy Murray one bit. Big fan of Djovonick or whatever he is. He also has one fine looking lady rooting him on in his 'camp'.

I really want to go to Krista's house now.
Tradetech posted $72 Uranium, + $3 week over week. Let's hope that spills over to Monday's equities. :goodposting:
I saw that. :bag:If this keeps going the way it has been, I'm flying you and the family in for a weekend.
Can you fly me into Krisa's instead and just meet me there?
Man I would love too. Knowing you, I think you would probably have more fun at my couisn's party. That is if you like drinking heavily, smoking cigars and wacky, eating some great food, playing 5-20 poker, buying $100 squares all day and throwing money around on various prop bets. The best part is it's only 1/4 mile from my house.

BTW went to work today and my Mom & Dad showed up to get their car from Friday night. Ditched work, Mom & I went to the casino for a copuple of hours and won $80 a piece on the vidya poker. Good times.
