Just poured my first Walgreen's brand beer. I'm really looking forward to it because it's ON SALE from $2.99/six pack to $2.50/six pack until Saturday. If this stuff is any good, I'm going back for a couple cases. Which will cost me TWENTY DOLLARS.Drinking the first one out of a frozen mug. I know this hides the natural flavor of the beer, but that's what I'm looking for here.Pours a very thin straw color with one finger of head that evaporates quickly. Thin layer of white foam remains on top.Nose is the corny adjunct smell common in "value brand" beer. I'm not getting much else out of it.Low bodied with medium carbonation. I'm a little surprised that it isn't more carbonated, so I'm going to count that as a plus.Flavor is pretty much nonexistent. Mouthfeel is watery with a little of the corn flavor. I'm probably going to pour the next one in a standard pint glass, but I'm not expecting much more out of it. The can says it's made with the "choicest hops". If it wasn't on the ingredient list, I'd have a hard time believing that it had any hops at all.This beer definitely has drinkability going for it. The lack of flavor plus moderate carbonation means it goes down quickly.All in all, not an awful experience. Definitely would drink again.

I'm not getting the melon. A lot of the BA reviews I just read also mention the carbonation as overdone. I think that the reviewers just aren't drinking enough cheapass American lager.

Watching something called "Police Women of Cincinnati". Man, this city is rough in certain spots. I'm not sure what my vision of Cincy was prior...just figured it was full of a bunch of guys like Shuke wearing slacks and eating chilli...bunch of orange and brown flags and logos...Pete Rose statues. What I'm seeing ain't that.

Sum total of my Cincinnati knowledge: when traveling to Florida via I-75, Riverfront Stadium is on the left.Same dayum drill every year. Dad would make us leave at 2 a.m. Stumble to the station wagon, fall back asleep. First bathroom break was Toledo at 5:15 a.m. You slept through it? Tough ####. Breakfast is in Covington, KY, at 9 a.m.Pissed my pants going by Riverfront one year. Hated that city ever since.

Well, was hoping to get the live feed from BNN featuring a segment with the CEO of NEO Materials (Sacamano, St. Louis Bob - HI)....I am thinking it will be available shortly as there is a slight delay. I can't find the live feed without subscribing, but I suck at the innernets.

I've had a lot of both and I disagree. But we're really arguing about no discernible difference here. On a scale of 1-100, we're down in the teens either way.

No, but she mailed a very incorrect tax return to the IRS.She's not supposed to claim him as a dependent, take the child credit, or claim child care expenses. Somehow she managed to do all three without realizing she was doing anything wrong. I figured this out when my e-file was rejected due to his SS # already showing up on a previous return. So... anybody know how she goes about getting her return corrected?

Melon flavor could be acetaldehyde, which can also present as a green apple flavor/aroma. It's usually the product of incomplete fermentation/aging, as it is a precursor to ethanol. In properly-conditioned beer, the yeast will finish the job and leave no acetaldehyde behind. If it is taken off the yeast (e.g., filtered) too soon, you can get this flavor/aroma. It's also more common in beers made with corn or cane sugar.So, if you're trying to produce a beer that you can sell profitably for $2.99 a sixer, you may do things like (a) use non-malt ingredients to cut cost and (b) rush the conditioning process to get more beer produced in a given amount of time.(Certified beer judge )
