GM's thread about nothing (36 Viewers)

Cool stuff Krista. Taking chances is good and neither of you is old enough for a mid life crisis.

Might I suggest reading this?

It's about a couple who did what you are thinking and opened a now very successful restaurant on Anguilla (both Floppo and I were married there - the island, not the restaurant).
 Fantastic. Just downloaded this; looks great. Thank you!

Doug, you're right that this has been coming for years. Divorce always felt like failure to me so I stayed way too long. I'm nobody's victim, never will be. I had a rough week last week more around the kids than the marriage but things are already better. Thanks for the well wishes and positive outlook. You can always be counted on for that.
Don't even try to lie to me...lie to the others, don't ever try to lie to me. You will play the victim as long as it gets you attention. You will brag continually about all the PMs you get from guys on this site that offer you some sort of support. They think they are the only one but you don't keep secrets well. You've been so quick to offer advice to people but now it seems funny that everything you say isn't worth a damn since you've been full of it the entire time, huh? Your fantastic, ideal, "oh my god, I'm so in love, I'd never leave it," marriage...you are such a f'n liar. You stick your nose in everyone's relationship but your own. Hell, you even stick your nose in past relationships to try to keep the positive iAttention on yourself. Maybe the FBGs need to realize that you are nothing more than a bored, fat housewife with nothing better to do than pop out a few kids and take in others to justify yourself. Let's put it this way...my positive outlook came to being once I realized what a sack of crap you really are and I've been so much happier without you meddling in everything I do.Psh.
You certainly seem happy.
I am. I also like seeing someone get what they deserve.
cool stuff bro

I join Dr. Awesome in wondering what the s is going on between misfitblondes and Early. I feel like I'm watching a LOSTish idrama, where I need lots more backstory. :stalker:

JFC man, you fishing with nukes or do you really hate women that much? Either way, blaming a woman for being in an abusive relationship is ####ed up.

No worries. I'd also suggest that if you like it, that you attempt to email the Blanchards. People in Anguilla are ridiculously friendly. It probably would not be difficult to strike up a conversation with them despite their success. You might even consider visiting on one your excursions and check the place out. Easy to get to from Memphis.

Just took my oldest kid to buy some new work boots. They were $100 but 40% off. He asked me "So how much is that?"

How do you find a decent landscaper? Well, I don't know what to call it. During the great freeze of 2/'11, my oleanders froze. I have 6 of them, and some are like 12' high. I'd do it myself, but I think I'd need a chainsaw. And then there's removing all the branches and hauling them off. Not to mention that oleander are poisonous. And while they are there, they can trim my trees, clean out my pampas and blow my rocks. So what do you call someone who will do that, and how do you find them?

You live in New Mexico and can't find a Mexican to take care of your lawn??? Go to Home Depot. Or ask any of the neighbors.

I subscribe to Angie's List, it's a great resource for local services. Check em out

I hope you and Floppo are happy together and things are working out.

:hot: Drifter doesn't appreciate me... the way he should.
Which one of you uses sex as a weapon?
swordfight!
We prefer to use the term jousting.

While I was making my son and I some nice greasy burgers, I suddenly noticed I didn't hear him. Peeking around the corner, I saw that he's let himself into the backyard via the doggy door. Brought him inside and resumed cooking until I turned around and he was on all 4s drinking from the dog's water dish.Couple of things I probably won't tell the wife about.
A few years ago I was intently examining the mp3 player options at Walmart, when I realized that the incessant chatter of my then 3 year old son had for some reason ceased. Looking down, I saw that my boy was sipping from the straw of God-only-knows whose 44 oz McDonald's cup that had been sitting on the shelf for God-only-knows how long. :X As I gaped at him, the little Diego/Dora fan stops sipping, stands straight, licks his lips and says, "Mmmmm.....Delicioso!"I think the dog's water dish isn't all that bad.
:lmao:

That movies Bridesmaids? It ####### rules. Hilarious ####.
I went to go see it this weekend but it was pretty much sold out. The only available sits were right up against the screen so I passed. I'm surprised it did so well but you would think the average movie go-er wouldn't know who Kristin Wiig is.

I can't believe E10 has PM'ed other guys on this board, taken interest in their lives and families, wished their children happy birthday and sent kind words when their wives were in the hospital. I thought I was special, and here she is effin' being nice to a lot of guys here. What a b####.

I posted a sex poem and I didn't even get a PM. :hot:Bridesmaids was awesome. Not shtick. The big girl in that movie should be bigger than Adam Sandler.Figuratively.

Bridesmaids is on my list of movies I want to see. But I don't have the balls to see it by myself. I'll have to snag a date and convince her to 'drag me' to see this. I did the same thing with 'The Devil Wears Prada'. Which was very good.

In less than a week we go to Nicaragua to buy a house I've never seen. The plan is to use it as a vacation home for 2-3 years and then move there and open a restaurant. I'm a combination of terrified and excited and frankly have no idea what I'm doing any more with my life. The idea of simplifying enormously and doing something slightly insane is appealing, though.
Man, our lives are so similar it's almost creepy.
:lmao:Sounds awesome Krista! What an adventure to take on! I'd be nervous as all hell!

krista - awesome plan! Too many people lack the courage to go for their dreams if it doesn't fall within society's norms. I wish you the best of luck and I have no doubt you'll have lots of great memories when you're much older. What's the deal with MisfitBlondes and Early? Have I missed some significant history in my notebook? Is Misfitblondes Mr. Early? I'm so confused.
You've missed nothing. We use to play cards together on a game site, he introduced this site to me. We're in the same country, thats about it.

You forgot: ...and he has issues with women and I'm a woman.

Are the Oleander actually dead? You wouldn't think a little frost would actually kill them permanently. When we prune branches and stuff, we burn them in a campfire. Not an option?
