GM's thread about nothing (11 Viewers)

I have this cousin that's a couple of years younger than I am. She and her family live in the Bay Area. She's always been a little off. She has three kids, 2 boys and a girl, ranging from 11 down to 6 years old.

She's one of those over-involved, over-protective parents. A few years ago we had a big family reunion at the beach. While all of the other kids were doing typical crazy kid stuff like burying each other in the sand and beating the crap out of each other with kelp strands her kids were (as per her instructions) finding interesting rocks and shells. She even made some sort of checklist for them to follow ('find a round rock...find a shell with 2 colors' etc).

So anyway she posted a pic on Facebook of her kids about a month ago playing Nerf Dart tag. In the photo all of the kids are wearing safety glasses. I thought that was a little weird but I looked it and I guess Nerf includes the glasses when you buy a Nerf dart gun. OK, I can see that.

Tonight she posted a photo of the kids in the middle of an EPIC SILLY STRING WAR! Yeah, all 3 kids are wearing their Nerf safety glasses.

Jesus.
What means this, it sounds like fun [/disco stu]
Lol. Stu Jr and his little buddy were playing with nerf dart guns yesterday. No safety glasses. Triple points for an eyeball shot.
Exactly. If we had had Nerf dart guns when I was a kid and somebody's mother made us wear safety glasses we would have spent the next 20 minutes seeing if we could stick the dart to the other kid's glasses.Oh, and one of her sons was wearing some sort of wizard robe in the Silly String photo. I was going over the possible reasons why. I'm learning towards his mother making him wear part of a leftover from Halloween as some sort of a Silly String-proff smock.

We used BB guns.10.5 miles, lunch time for those of you (nobody) following at home. This is A LOT harder without vod-ka.

Thanks GB. Out of our group only me, Mrs. SLB and 2 others have gone every mile so far. Out of the couple hundred here I would guess only 40-50 finished yesterday and there will be a lot less today. It's miserably hot.GL on your training.

I need much alcohol today. I'm at my dad's to celebrate some cousin's graduation and they're playing the new J-Lo cd at full blast. They have speakers set up all across the lawn. There is no place to hide where I can't hear it.

Fins n Skins tournament today. Fish salmon til 1, then 18 holes of golf. My team has been on the water since 5:45, but I have my daughter so i'll hop on the boat at 10 after her mom picks her up. We recruited a waitress from our favorite bar as our fourth, so that should be interesting. Barely know her and going to go drink with her for 8 hours straight. So far no fish caught.
Sounds like you got one to me.

Out of the 200 plus that started today only 7 of us finished. Even though my feet were very well taped up (mole skin GM) I have blisters in places I never had blisters before and I have giant blisters in the usual places.

Just need to take care of business tomorrow now. :banned:

ETA

With about a half mile left Mrs. SLB sincerely says to me "my god you look so sexy right now" only to follow that up with "####, I must be delirious." :lmao:

Good call. My left hip started acting up around mile 17 but I fought through it. It feels alright now though.

I can't open that from my phone but the names make me :lmao:

Entering my 12th straight hour of house renovation stuff - today has been watering new seed on front lawn, cleaning out 2-years-neglected beds out front, and painting the entire kitchen and den (lots of detail work in both rooms).

I want to punch anyone who was fishing or on a party barge or even drinking beer by a pool or playing hippie frolf. At least Bob suffered today.

Also, RIP Thorn. He was on an "all you can drink" bus trip to Fenway today. I just saw that the game is in the 13th inning. 'Twas good knowing you, GB.

Congrats, GBSLB! If the heat in St. Louis is anything like Memphis right now, I truly don't know how you're doing it. We walked to the farmers' market two blocks from our house today and I wanted to turn back halfway there.

My own wee bit of good news is that I just received an e-mail from the lawyer to me and the dickmittens in Nica, and he informs me that on Monday morning they are returning 100% of the money they stole. I wonder if it was the fact that he told them that, in addition to what we'd already done, we could, as he termed it, "suit them also in the penal way" (meaning they go to jail). Or perhaps it was that little notice that the realtor got on Friday from the Nicaraguan government about the fact they've been operating for years without paying any taxes.

BUSHNELLED!

I'm depressed, drunk and want to punch some ####. I'll snap out in a couple of hours, but I've endured Job-like levels of ####e recently.

YSR approves of this post.Seriously, sorry you are having a rough time. :(
Ha! No, I don't want anyone to be depressed, I just don't want anyone having any serious summertime fun while I'm in get-house-ready-to-sell mode. ;)Sorry IB - hope this is temporary and that things are going to look up soon. Strykerpks will probably be willing to text you some pictures of his pee if you think that might make you feel better.

You're next, toots ;)

Krista, most of my genes are Scottish and German so I'm very stubborn and I sure as hell don't lose. Mrs. SLB is even more stubborn and no way was she going to quit and let me one up her.

After your walk you can get a free massage and yesterday some dude comes up to me and says it's my turn. I tell him no offense but I don't let men rub me. He tried to bully me by saying "go get on the table". I looked at him like he was about to die and he backed off. I got a chick soon after. The broads (our friends)were giving me trouble about it.

Today I got a massage and this gal got rather personal and got to 3rd base with me. One of our female friends was watching and cracking up saying I got at least 2 massages. I went back to the room for another beer and then remembered I forgot to get some sample she told me to take. When I went back she told me "you have really nice hands, you should volunteer to rub some people" :lmao:

JFC I just asked my cousin's wife who some gal she just hugged was. She proceeded to tell me it was the parent of a little girl that played soccer with my Goddaughter who just died two weeks ago from CF. This while we are waiting for the "circle of strength" to start where people share their stories about the loved ones they lost to MS.

I can't wait to get home and hug my kids.

For our anniversary I had just withdrawn a nice profit from sportsbook so I got my wife some stupid super expensive (like 900 bucks expensive) camera she's been wanting for the last couple of years. She's been using it non-stop and today she looked at me and said "Still think this camera was too expensive?" I said "Yes." She said "What if I said you could take pictures of me." I raised an eyebrow. "Yep." She said.

Awesome.
